Ezra
We had entered the new week, and there was still absolutely no sign of wedding preparations anywhere in the palace.
I couldn't help the heavy, dull sadness that settled over my chest as the days crept by. Every morning, I looked around for any sign. I even started asking attendants if there was any secret planning going on. My anxiety was high and I couldn't bring myself to ask Allen about it.
We were still sleeping together every single night, and he was still as sweet, warm, and attentive as ever. But I didn't want to bring it up. I felt like I wasn't supposed to ask, like I'd sound needy or desperate if I pressed him about a wedding he might have changed his mind about. I searched my memory for anything I might've done wrong and I wasn't sure because everyday, I was somehow a menace to him, even when I didn't want to.
