Chapter 4 - 4. The Last Item

The Moth Guild—an apothecary ones was the last place Mina planned to visit for today.

Now, Moon remembered entering three or four guilds. They had always exaggerated their building and interiors. Like the Brown Bear guild which specialized in axes and brawn power, had their whole building made of woods… with steel of axes stuck on them. Mind you the wood material they used were from ancient trees, which mean they were harder than most steels.

So when Moon entered a plain simple building of a guild, he was wary. He hadn't remembered this one. Or couldn't.

Mina walked in and talked to the woman behind the counter who wore a Pale Mask of her guild.

"Is the Guildmaster around?"

"I'm afraid not."

"Ulya, then."

Then she eyed Moon, clearly recognized him. But she wasn't surprised.

Mina caught where she was looking at and said, "Him, too."

The woman nodded, crouched, and came back putting two things on the table. A key and a bowl of blue dust. "Second floor, room five. Have a nice time."

They went up the stairs without no issues. The only sound that were made were from them.

Moon took this time to ask, "This looks more like an inn."

"It is one. Just not to the way you think it is."

Room Five.

First of all, there was no bed. The floor and wall were plain concrete. What were there was a round wooden table and two chairs. Both of those looked like it'd broke the moment they sat down.

Mina sat down and looked at Moon funny.

"Are you just going to stand there? I thought you'd be coming so I ordered two chairs."

Moon sat.

Mina then put the bowl on the table. Then she turned to him, "I'll be going first."

Moon had a few questions to ask but Mina acted before he could, once again, opened his mouth.

Thud.

The sound of the blue dust hitting her face. She had grabbed a handful from the bowl and threw it on her face.

And then she fell unconscious.

Some of the blue dust flying up indicate that Mina was still breathing and alive. She was like in a deep sleep.

She must've wanted Moon to follow her.

To whenever she was,

So he did exactly the same thing.

Thud.

A slap to his face.

When he managed to opened his eyes, he wasn't in a room anymore.

In fact, he wasn't in the Rose City since the smell of flowers had disappeared. Replaced by a complex mix of earthy, woody, and fresh scents.

The place had only hues of green and blue lights. Fireflies flew around as if they were light bulbs. Thousand—or more of them. Yet they weren't enough to fill in the darkness. People were walking on the dark floor. People? Moon only assumed they were by their figure what he actually saw was a colors shaped like human. They had no face as if they were a colored shadow.

"You're late I've been waiting for an hour."

But he can see Mina's silver eyes and hair clearly. She was sitting down on a red sofa, playing chess on the table. Her opponent she faced was a green colored human. She put a piece up her opponent's board and the green shadow held their head.

Mina smiled and pat her hands and her opponent left the table.

"What is this place?" Moon asked, "I can't feel the floor at all."

His feet felt no ground and yet people were walking. He was walking.

"We're far away from our real bodies now," Mina said, fanning the chess board. "The Moth Guild is located in someone's dream. We're in hers now."

The chess board crumbled like sand and flew off the table.

Moon stepped forward and then the non-existent ground shook.

Roared!

It came from one of the darkness. A distant cries of an animal. A big one judging by how loud it was.

A monster in a guild?

A group of men wearing moth mask emerged, running to the source of sound.

"Because this is a dream, there tends to be a nightmare," Mina shrugged.

"Can people die here?"

"A lot of them already had."

From the same pool of darkness the group came, a woman and a boy approached. Not shadows. Unlike the others who didn't even touch their eyes on them, these two are walking straight at where Mina was.

The woman had a black hair with a streaks of yellow, the same as her piercing eyes. On her waist was a belt holding a different size of knives. But what caught Moon attention the most was her necklace. A white string holding a silver cylinder.

An Artifact.

Moon seen a few of them—Day, the Hero's sword was one of them. And he knew what it took to be able to wield them.

"Ulya, you kept me waiting."

Ulya scratched her head, laughing awkwardly. "I apologize, I've lost the track of time again. You know how it is here."

The boy stepped forward, furrowing his eyebrows. "Please address my master as Lady Wasp. I would not tolerate disrespect toward our hero."

"What's wrong with calling her Ulya? Her name is Ulya, right? Don't you think so?" Mina smirked, "Ulya"

Shiing~

The sound of a sword unsheathed.

The brown steel pointed at Mina's neck, "I, Toshi Kenichi, challenge you to a duel… to the death."

"Challenge denied, I don't have time for kids stuff."

Toshi ground his teeth, his hand was shaking the sword. His face darken.

Looked like he was about to leap toward her.

Until Ulya pat his back, "Now, now. Toshi, its best not to create a problem here now, okay? After all, you're being watched."

"Watched?"

Then she turned to Moon.

"The Hero Of The West."

Upon hearing that the boy sprang up straight and gave the man sitting, a ninety degree bow. "I am honored of meeting you!"

Ulya sat, "Let's get to the business shall we?"

The put a box on the table.
