A girl's room, huh?
It's been ages since I last stepped foot in one.
Or rather… I've never truly been in one before. Well, except for Karen's room back home.
But when she started getting more aggressive—coming suddenly closer, touching my arm longer than necessary, and asking questions that carried hidden meanings—I always found excuses to leave.
I stayed away, and told myself it was better that way. I didn't want to betray Mr. Steven's trust and sleep with his daughter, but was that correct?
Would Mr. Steven really have minded?
I kind of wish I had paid her more attention now. Maybe things would have turned out differently.
I hope they're alright back on Earth. Karen, her siblings, her mother, and that child of hers I never got to see… I wonder if she later found the father.
Now that I think about it, I was supposed to meet her a few days after my death, wasn't I?
She seemed so desperate in her last messages, like she was holding on by a thread.
