On the Seventh revival, Noah froze the moment he saw his surroundings.
He was back in the living room where they had first entered the instance.
The only difference...
Four additional corpse lay on the ground.
The Spectacled Youth.
The others.
"So that's how it is."
Noah nodded slightly.
"The boss wanders around the fortress... so it's only natural this place would temporarily become a safe zone."
After repeatedly hiding and dying, Noah had gathered enough information to piece together the truth.
Everyone in Miller Family Fortress was already dead.
There was no one to join forces with.
If he want to clear this instance, he could rely only on himself.
The Spectacled Youth's analysis hadn't been wrong.
The villain had indeed been injured after slaughtering the entire fortress. When they first encountered him in the living room, that had been his weakest state.
But as he continued searching.
He recovered.
And the more he recovered, the faster he found Noah.
During the first revival, Noah had managed to hide for half an hour.
By the sixth, he lasted barely fifteen minutes.
Miller Family Fortress was an instance.
The available space was limited.
And the villain had terrifying perception.
He could detect faint breathing, heartbeats, even the subtle fluctuations of life itself. As long as someone was alive, he would eventually find them.
Noah's increasing strength only made thing worse.
Strength : 48
Agility : 47
Constitution : 48
Spirit : 47
Nealy five times that of an ordinary person.
He could now clearly see the villain's movements. He could react.
But it didn't matter.
The villain's demonic cultivation was complete, and his swordsmanship was flawless. With the same attributes, he could unleash far greater power.
"Five times isn't enough..."
"Then ten times."
Noah's eyes hardened.
"I refuse to believe I can't kill you."
This time, he didn't hide.
Experience told him that the stronger he became, the more obvious his presence grew. Continuing to hide would only shorten the time before death.
Five minutes later.
They met.
The villain paused, tilting his head slightly.
"Kid... you look familiar."
His voice carried a trace of confusion.
"Are you a twin?"
Noah didn't answer.
No one paid attention to an ant they crushed repeatedly. In the previous deaths, he hadn't even been seen properly.
"Forget it."
The villain shook his head.
A sword flashed.
Noah died.
Eight Revival.
Ninth Revival.
Again and again.
This time, Noah didn't just grow stronger.
He memorized everything.
The layout of Miller Family Fortress.
Every corridor.
Every Shortcut.
Every dead end.
The villain's patrol routes.
Where to avoid him.
Where to draw him in.
Where to die... and where not to.
However, Noah noticed that the villain showed no further improvement.
Including his strength.
After roughly three hours, the villain's growth stopped completely.
Noah finally let out a breath of relief.
If the instance boss could continue growing endlessly, this instance would be outright impossible.
Though it was already ridiculous enough.
By the fifteenth revival, Noah was still discovered but this time, he managed to last a full forty minutes.
At this point, his attributes had reached:
Strength : 80
Agility : 79
Constitution : 80
Spirit : 79
With these terrifying stats, once Noah went all out to escape, the villain under normal circumstances couldn't catch him at all. Only by using movement techniques could he barely keep up.
But the villain had a limit.
His internal energy and a stamina were not infinite.
Noah on the other hand was different.
After countless deaths, he had long discovered the hidden effect of Infinite.
Every revival returned him to peak condition.
No fatigue.
No weakness.
No accumulation of damage.
Noah grew stronger the more he died.
The villain only grew weaker.
When the villain finally caught up again, he was already panting heavily, sweat soaking his clothes. The Miller Family Fortress had become a nightmare.... people who simply refuse to stay dead.
And when he finally saw Noah's face clearly...
His mind broke.
"It's you again... again!"
"How many twins do you have?"
"Your mother damm it how could she give birth to so many?"
The villain was on the verge of collapse.
As an instance boss, he could not comprehend resurrection. He subconsciously ignored the vanishing corpses, convincing himself they were just brothers.
If not for a few revivals where Noah died too fast for him to see clearly, he would've collapsed much earlier.
"Murderer," Noah shouted, charging forward. "You slaughtered Miller Family Fortress and killed my six brothers!"
"I'm here for revenge!"
He attacked first.
Even though Noah's attribute had surpassed the villain's, the latter's martial arts were still refined. Sword light flashed.
But this time.
The blade only pierced a short distance before getting stuck.
High constitution meant terrifying defense.
Moments later, Noah died again.
Another hour passed.
Noah revived once more.
His attributes had climbed to 91 - 92.
Looking at the villain now pale, trembling, as if hollowed out... Noah smiled gently.
"Killing me so many times..."
"Was it satisfying?"
"Want to try again?"
The villain said nothing.
He turned and ran.
But with his internal energy nearly depleted, his speed looked laughable in Noah's eyes.
Boom!
Like a violent gust of wind, Noah closed the distance in an instance and raised his fist.
"We are a very hospitable people," Noah said calmly.
"Whether you're friend or enemy, we always ask one thing first.."
"Have you eaten?"
"If not... eat my three punches."
The villain roared and launched a desperate counterattack.
His sword thrust toward Noah's heart.
Crack!
The blade shattered under Noah's punch.
The second punch crushed Villain's chest, bones collapsing inward.
The third punch smashed into his head, bursting like a broken jar of sauce.
The villain died on the spot.
