Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 - I Don't Know

I rubbed my eyes with my hands, slowly with a bit of irritation from the thought of being blinded.

When I opened my eyes, I got blinded again by the breathtaking… I mean the sight-taking scenery of the place I was transported to.

Who would've thought I'd get flashbang'ed two times in a row? Man, life really was beautiful when you couldn't see anything.

"Hello?" My eye's blurrynes was slowly fading, allowing me to take sight of my surroundings. I wasn't in Tokyo anymore, at least not in any place I knew of.

The place was bright. It was like I was in the sky, floating yet standing as cold breezes brushed by me. In front of my sight sat a white-bearded man, with long hair of the same color. He was sitting on what I thought was a throne, gilded in emerald and amethyst. He looked like he could tear me apart like a thin-ass paper.

*A body builder or a builder of bodies?*

I lightly tapped the floor with my foot. It was hard, its appearance like pure marble but from the materials of heaven. Not that I would know any.

Around us were pillars of the same material, ridged and shimmering. It was holding the roof above, high as I was.

I swallowed hard, my heartbeat sharpening by the second. "Where am I?"

The man sitting laughed, maniacally and nobly. Quiet. Is he the one bring me there? He looked… divine. And old.

"At ease, my friend." He stood up, readying his arms like some big reveal was about to happen. "You are within the Realm of Goblets!"

He wasn't lying. There were countless enormous, golden goblets in rows with blue flames emitting above.

Behind me, at what seemed like the other end of the island, stood a towering door of gilded alloys and gold. It was closed, yet behind the door, there were star-like particles that disappeared shortly after.

"Ease my confusion, where the hell am I?!"

He slightly pushed his head back as if surprised. "I just said, friend. At the golden halls within the Realm of Gob—"

"I heard that, old man. Why the hell am I here?"

He smiled, yet an irritated face hid behind. I wouldn't be surprised if he smited me there.

I was already used to the feeling, anyway.

"You see—"

"Why am I here?!" I repeated before he could finish speaking.

The old man closed his eyes, inhaling the cold air that surrounded us. "As I was saying—"

"Answer my damn question first!" I stomped the ground like a kid I was. The sound that came was like a rock hitting another rock, though more softly.

"Can you shut up for a minute and listen, you problematic kid?" His eyes turned crystal white, veins began popping from his entire body, and a gust of wind blew past me, slightly pushing my bangs to the back.

It made my skin crawl.

"You know what, the elderly get to speak first."

He cleared his throat, his eyes and body turning back as it was. "As I was saying, a mortal from my world yielded its blood in turn to lend you a hand. But since I cannot interfere with someone else's world and soul, I instead ask you to a redemption within my lands. A visit, a transfer to my world."

'Yielded their blood', he said. I didn't understand a thing he said, but it sounded stupid.

"Who in their right mind would 'yield' their blood to lend me a hand?"

The actual question was, who knew me? Were these worlds of the same world yet in a different plane of existence? How could someone, from another world, possibly know me and my dear, beautiful state in life?

I didn't sacrifice myself for someone else's blood as a payment for my life's jaded-ass decisions.

"That I do not know. It must've been a very stupid person to do that for you."

That guy, despite being a god or something, was roasting me burned.

Man, I'd be mad if someone asked me 'why' I turned against the world, if I ever start my villain arc.

"Aren't you a god? Someone noble, divine, respectful? Free of any sins?"

His lips curved into a wicked smile. "That doesn't forbid us from jokes, and aren't you a mortal that's supposed to respect us beings?"

Do I respect or believe in gods? I certainly do believe now. But respect?

I'd rather praise a demonic god of some sort than those who watched me fail and fall in life.

"And by transfer to your world, you mean me, live inside your world?"

"You're not just problematic, but slow too."

My world, Earth, has basically exiled me. Not in a pit of beautiful women, but in a pit of darkness where it swallowed me whole.

A life of uncertainty, of bad luck, of light that was supposed to help but instead joined the darkness and continued to push me to the edge.

Suffering—

What people call life.

"Would anyone know me there, like a prince?" I asked, curious. If I could start a brand new life there, then I'd go without hesitation.

"No one would know you."

"I'll say yes, but how exactly does this transferring work?"

He thought about it for a few seconds. "Hm, you'd get transferred to a random location. It's like a fantasy, as your kin would refer to it."

You know what's crazy about my already-crazy youth? I barely watched any fantasy, sci-fi, or any of that sort of movie or anime. It's one of the few things people find strange about me. Like, what's so strange about it? I wasn't attached to technology like others were.

"Fantasy. Curious," I responded. "Are there gonna be dragons and girls of different races, kins?"

He rubbed his forehead with his fingers, irritated by my valid questions. I mean, who wouldn't want those in a "fantasy" world? I knew I'd love them. I'm mischievous but safe and innocent.

"For the dragons and different kinds, origins, yes. Ancient medieval world type."

*What about the girls?*

"There's no point in saying no," I said. "So please, lend me your hand to your, uh, world!" I yelled, my right leg bending down to a kneel in a swift and impressive movement. It's a god, after all.

"Expect the unnatural, problematic child."

Then, strings of light began to form around me, surrounding me like vines on a tombstone. It was neither thin, nor thick. It varied, rising high till it met the roof. There was no other sensation, except for the fact that I couldn't move.

"And don't die the minute you land," he added, laughing maniacally like he'd planned something.

As I inhaled the cold air, another light blinded me. Like the first, it wasn't painful, nor did I feel anything from it but a faint fatigue. He is a cool guy, despite being a god.

What else did I know about the old hag's world? Nothing. Only that it has fantasy things.

That was enough information, and the fact that someone "yielded" their blood for me?

I was gonna find that person and put some sense into them.
