They began walking back toward the central square.

The streets were still active, though the atmosphere around them remained slightly tense. Some people recognized them and kept their distance.

As they moved through a wider street—

A group of knights approached from the front.

Alan stopped.

Marie Rose and Latina also slowed down.

At the front of the group was the same woman from earlier—the captain of the Red Phoenix Knights, Han Sua.

She stepped forward and gave a slight nod.

"I apologize for earlier," she said. "We have also punished the other involved in that incident."

Alan looked at her.

"We noticed," he replied.

Han Sua didn't waste time.

"I would like to ask for your help with something," she said.

Alan didn't answer immediately.

"…What kind of help?" he asked.

"Something that requires strength," she replied.

She glanced around briefly, then gestured toward a nearby building.

"Let's talk inside."

Alan nodded once.

They followed her into a private room inside a nearby building. The knights remained outside.

Once inside, Han Sua closed the door and spoke directly.

"There is a dungeon connected to the castle," she said. "It has recently changed."

Alan listened quietly.

"It used to be manageable," she continued. "But now stronger creatures have appeared. Powerful undead. Their numbers have increased."

Latina looked at her. "And the knights can't handle it?"

Han Sua shook her head. "We've already lost several people."

Marie Rose remained silent.

Han Sua continued, "It's become unstable. We plan to clear it, but we lack the strength to do it safely."

She looked at Alan.

"If you help clear it, everything inside will belong to you."

Alan thought for a moment.

"Why ask us?" he said.

Han Sua answered honestly.

"Because you can do it."

There was no hesitation in her voice.

The room became quiet.

Alan glanced at Marie Rose and Latina.

Then he looked back at Han Sua.

"…We'll check it first," he said.

Han Sua sighed in relief, thinking at least they hadn't rejected her outright.

"Okay, please come with me. The City Lord is waiting for you," she said as she began leading them toward the city lord's palace.

The palace was grand and well-guarded.

When they arrived, they saw the City Lord, Han Seokbong, waiting near the entrance.

As they approached, Han Seokbong's eyes widened slightly. He could feel a terrifying presence coming from one of the two women.

He swallowed but quickly composed himself, maintaining his calm and dignity as the City Lord.

"Welcome," he said, greeting them.

Alan gave a slight nod.

Han Seokbong looked at them carefully before speaking again.

"Thank you for coming," he said. "Captain Han has already informed me of the situation."

He stepped aside and gestured toward the entrance.

"Please, come inside."

They followed him into the palace.

Inside, the hall was spacious and well-decorated, but not overly extravagant. Guards stood at a distance, maintaining order without interfering.

Han Seokbong led them to a meeting room and took a seat.

"Let's talk here," he said.

Alan and the others sat across from him.

Han Sua stood to the side.

"The dungeon beneath the castle has changed recently," Han Seokbong began. "It used to be stable, but now stronger undead have appeared."

Alan listened without interrupting.

"We believe something deeper inside has caused this change," Han Seokbong continued. "We have sent teams before, but the losses have been high."

Latina looked at him. "How deep does it go?"

"We don't know yet," he replied. "No one has reached the end."

Marie Rose remained silent, but her gaze showed she was already aware of the situation.

Han Seokbong continued, "If you are willing to help clear it, we will not interfere. Everything inside will belong to you."

Alan nodded slightly.

"We'll take a look first," he said.

Han Seokbong nodded in return.

"That is enough."

He stood up.

"I will have someone guide you to the entrance."

Han Sua stepped forward again.

"I'll take them," she said.

Han Seokbong agreed.

"Then I'll leave it to you."

Alan and the others stood up.

Without wasting time, they followed Han Sua out of the room.

They walked through the palace corridors in silence.

Han Sua led the way at a steady pace. The guards they passed stepped aside and didn't speak.

After a few minutes, they reached a restricted area at the back of the palace. Fewer people were present here, and the atmosphere was quieter.

Han Sua stopped in front of a large door.

"This leads down," she said.

Two guards standing there opened the door without question.

A staircase appeared, going down into the underground.

Alan looked at it briefly.

"No one else goes down now?" he asked.

Han Sua shook her head. "Only small scouting teams, and even those stopped recently."

Alan nodded.

They started descending.

The stairs were long and narrow, lit by dim lights along the walls. The temperature dropped slightly as they went deeper.

After some time, they reached the bottom.

A wide stone corridor stretched ahead.

There were signs of previous battles—marks on the walls, broken weapons, and dried blood.

Han Sua stopped.

"This is as far as we go," she said. "We usually operate from here."

Alan looked ahead.

The corridor was quiet.

"Alright," he said.

He turned and looked at his wives.

"You should go back. I'll handle this on my own and return after clearing it," he said.

They nodded and stepped back, returning with Han Sua.

Han Sua glanced at Alan as he walked deeper into the dungeon.

"Will it be alright?" she asked.

Marie Rose replied calmly, "I have already sensed the entire dungeon. It is weaker compared to him. Most likely, he will be bored."

Han Sua nodded and didn't ask further. They moved away from the entrance and waited.

Meanwhile, deeper inside the dungeon—

Alan walked forward along the corridor.

After a short distance, figures began to appear from the darkness.

Undead.

They had humanoid forms, but their bodies were pale and stiff. In their hands were thin, silver threads that moved like needles.

The Silver Needle Undead.

As soon as they noticed Alan—

They attacked.

SHHK—! SHHK—!

The silver threads shot toward him from multiple directions.
