"Fine... Fine. I've lived long enough anyway."
"Drampa, sacrifice your life to summon a massive Draco Meteor!"
"I will wipe the Dragon Clan off the face of the earth!"
"This weak, pathetic excuse for a clan... They possess such magnificent power, yet they lack the ambition to use it to rule the world!"
The Second Elder spat out the words with venomous fury.
"Even if I must die, I'll make sure to leave you all in utter ruin!"
As the Second Elder's words fell, Drampa's body began to wither at a rate visible to the naked eye. Deathly gray aura filled its eyes, and its scales faded into translucent paleness. Massive amounts of psychic energy burst forth from its dying frame, reaching into the deepest reaches of space.
Far off in the cosmos, a blue psychic aura suddenly enveloped a stray asteroid.
Pulled down by the force, the asteroid plunged into the atmosphere, friction igniting a fiery inferno around its surface. Thunderous sonic booms reverberated from the heavens long before the impact.
As it drew closer, the clan members below watched in sheer horror as a flaming sky-fall hurtled directly toward their location. Infused with the boundless Dragon energy bleeding from Drampa, the colossal dragon meteor burned with a blinding, golden light as it roared through the atmosphere.
Seeing the golden meteor descend, a faint, contented smile touched Drampa's face. A moment later, its body dissolved into nothingness, like fading foam on the tide.
"Elite Four Champion Feng Che... Let's see how your Gengar handles a dragon meteor of this scale!" the Second Elder sneered viciously. "If you can catch this meteor, I'll admit defeat! But if you fail, the entire Dragon Clan burns with me!"
"Of course, Zekrom could easily shatter it—but that wouldn't be your power, now would it?"
The Second Elder taunted Feng Che, calculating that Zekrom would never stand idly by. If Zekrom intervened, it would be proof of Feng Che's reliance on legendary power, sealing the Elder's psychological victory. If Zekrom refrained, then the Dragon Clan would simply be reduced to ashes alongside him.
"Second Elder, every last one of your Pokémon is gone. You lost a long time ago."
Feng Che cast a cold, contemptuous glance at the old man, his eyes dripping with disdain.
"However..." Feng Che paused, a smirk playing on his lips. "Just to make sure nobody claims I won ungracefully, I'll use Mega Gengar to take this Draco Meteor down."
Surging Viridian Force erupted from Feng Che's body, pouring endlessly into Mega Gengar.
Empowered by the overwhelming influx of Viridian energy, Mega Gengar began to swell rapidly. Expanding at a mind-boggling rate, it transformed, unleashing its Gigantamax form.
In its Gigantamax state, Gengar's appearance shifted dramatically. Like its Mega form, its lower body remained submerged beneath the ground, but its upper torso towered like a colossal fortress. Its cavernous, gaping maw stretched impossibly wide, revealing a long, trailing tongue that licked at the void. The inside of its mouth was an abyss of pure darkness, while its two stubby arms looked comically small compared to the immense size of its jaw.
"Gigantamax Gengar, swallow that meteor!" Feng Che commanded sharply.
Gengar's physiology naturally housed an interdimensional stomach. Once the Draco Meteor entered its gullet, Gengar could easily neutralize its destructive force within that endless void.
Gigantamax Gengar threw its jaw open wide. A terrifying gravitational pull burst from its throat, seizing the Draco Meteor right out of the sky.
Forced off its original trajectory, the meteor was dragged downward by the irresistible suction, spiraling straight into Gigantamax Gengar's waiting mouth.
The onlookers watched in stunned silence as the monstrous golden meteor vanished down the Pokémon's throat. With a heavy, earth-shaking thud, Gigantamax Gengar snapped its jaws shut, bringing the terrifying crisis to an abrupt halt.
"Hahaha!" The Second Elder burst into maniacal laughter, his eyes bloodshot and crazed like a lunatics. "Feng Che, you think you've won? No... you've already lost!"
"I had explosives planted all throughout the Dragon's Den!" he screeched, his voice laced with malice. "The moment I press this button, the entire cavern goes up in flames! My lineage has already escaped—they will start the Dragon Clan anew! We are all going to hell together!"
He slammed his thumb down on a concealed trigger built into his cane.
Silence followed. The expected cataclysmic explosion never came.
"Surprised, Second Elder?"
Feng Che's voice cut through the silence smoothly. "I found your explosives ages ago and took the liberty of disarming every single one. As for those juniors you thought escaped... they didn't make it very far."
Feng Che snapped his fingers. Instantly, the petrified form of Du Long appeared before the Second Elder.
"Du Long... Du Long!" Shock and horror contorted the Second Elder's face as he stared at the statue.
"I petrified him," Feng Che said, a cold, serene smile gracing his face. "Hand over the DNA Splicers, Second Elder. It's over."
"Hahaha! You'll never find where the DNA Splicers are hidden!"
The Second Elder violently bit down on a hidden poison capsule lodged between his teeth.
"Feng Che... I'm going ahead! I'll be waiting for you in hell!"
The old man laughed madly as black blood welled up from his mouth, spilling over his lips.
Feng Che leaned in close, his voice a soft, mocking whisper in the dying man's ear. "Actually, Second Elder... I've known where the DNA Splicers were the whole time. I was just messing with you."
The Second Elder's eyes snapped wide open in horror and disbelief. He collapsed to the ground, his eyes fixed in a stare of unyielding agony as the life left his body.
The crisis threatening the Dragon Clan was finally over.
Under the watchful gazes of the gathered clan members, Feng Che strode purposefully toward the altar of the Dragon Shrine. Zekrom was already waiting for him atop the dais.
"I am taking over as the next Clan Leader," Feng Che announced, his voice ringing clearly across the shrine. "If anyone disagrees, step forward."
The moment his words landed, blinding arcs of lightning erupted from Zekrom's body. A majestic sky of thunder materialized overhead, raining down endless bolts of lightning that struck the earth with deafening roars.
Faced with Zekrom's overwhelming display of legendary power, the entire Dragon Clan fell deathly silent, silenced by awe and terror.
"Very good. No objections," Feng Che said, turning his gaze toward the elders. "Drayden, Zinzolin... do you accept my ascension as the new Clan Leader?"
"We have no objections," Drayden and Zinzolin answered in unison, bowing their heads in complete acknowledgment of Feng Che's absolute strength.
"Excellent. Now, I shall pass judgment upon the crimes of the Second Elder's faction."
Feng Che's voice grew stern. "The Second Elder's lineage refused to submit to the governance of the Dragon Clan, openly defied Clan Leader Drayden, incited internal rebellion, and attempted to unseal Kyurem. Their crimes are unpardonable."
"The Second Elder has committed suicide to escape justice. As for the rest of his co-conspirators, I have sealed them all in stone. Their petrification shall never be lifted."
Feng Che turned his gaze back onto the old leader. "Tell me, Leader Drayden... are you satisfied with my verdict?"
