Chapter 135 - I Have Never Seen Someone So Brazenly Shameless

"Golbat, keep that Crobat busy!"

"Aerodactyl, use Giga Impact on that Dustox!"

Lance issued his commands with a face like stone.

Meanwhile, Hanzo Shura was growing increasingly anxious. Despite his bravado, the gap between a Pseudo-Elite and a true Elite Four member was a chasm he couldn't cross. His Pokémon were being systematically dismantled.

I just need my men on the ship to seize the passengers, Hanzo thought, sweat beading on his forehead. As long as I have hostages, even Lance won't dare finish me.

On the Lower Deck

"Ivysaur, use Vine Whip on that Feraligatr!" Feng Che commanded.

Ivysaur deployed eight vines. They intertwined in groups of four, forming two massive, corded "fists" that hammered against the Feraligatr. Despite the alligator's raw power and bulging muscles, Ivysaur held its ground.

Feraligatr's fist glowed with an icy light—Ice Punch. It slammed into the incoming vines, freezing them into thick pillars of ice. But Ivysaur didn't flinch; it used the momentum to headbutt Feraligatr's jaw, sending the heavy predator stumbling back. Ivysaur then slammed its frozen vines against the deck, shattering the ice, and immediately re-bound the Feraligatr.

With a roar of effort, the Grass-type hoisted the one-ton alligator into the air. Ivysaur's pink bud burst open, releasing a pre-charged Solar Beam. BOOM. When the smoke cleared, the Feraligatr's hide was scorched red, and it slumped over, defeated.

"My Feraligatr... defeated by an Ivysaur?" Nakata gasped from the floor. "That thing is Level 38! It should be impossible!"

"You rely too much on raw stats, Nakata," Feng Che said, walking toward him. "My Ivysaur was using Mega Drain every time they collided. It was getting stronger while your Feraligatr was being bled dry."

Elsewhere, Seadra was struggling against the combined assault of Froakie, Corvisquire, and Golduck. Panicked, the Seadra unleashed a massive Whirlpool. The vortex expanded until it was nearly a meter wide, humming with the sound of a crashing tide. Seadra hurled it toward Froakie, but the move was so large it swept up Nakata's own allies—Kinglers and Cloysters were tossed across the deck like toys.

"What a terrible teammate," Feng Che mused. "Froakie, observe that technique. It's a good defensive utility."

"Froakie, Water Pulse!"

Froakie launched a basketball-sized sphere of water. Having mastered the speed of its technique, the pulse was formed in under a second. It struck the heart of the Whirlpool, causing the entire move to collapse into a harmless splash of rain.

"Corvisquire, use Hurricane to pin Seadra!"

"Litten, add Ember to the wind!"

The four localized twisters Corvisquire created were instantly ignited by Litten's sparks, surrounding Seadra in a cage of fire.

"Seadra! Use Rain Dance!" Nakata screamed, finally finding his voice.

Seadra shrieked toward the heavens. Thick black clouds gathered instantly, and thunder rolled across the sea. But there was no rain.

"What?! Why isn't it raining?!" Nakata stared at the sky in confusion.

"Because," Feng Che laughed, "you're trying to control the weather in front of a Dragonair."

He pointed to Lance's Dragonair nearby. The blue pearl on its neck was glowing with a deep, pulsing light. In ancient texts, Dragonair pearls were said to have the power to settle even the most violent oceans. It had simply "hijacked" the Rain Dance, suppressing the moisture before it could fall.

Without the rain to cool it, Seadra was quickly dehydrated by the fire-vortex and fainted.

Nakata watched in horror as his two strongest partners were taken down.

"Mr. Nakata, you have one Pokémon left," Feng Che said, standing over him. "But I think we're done with the formalities."

Feng Che reached down and unclipped the Poké Balls from Nakata's belt.

"Return, Tentacruel!"

The jellyfish, which was still wrestling with Ditto, was sucked back into its ball before it knew what happened. Feng Che then locked the ball's mechanism and did the same for Feraligatr and Seadra.

"Mr. Nakata, I'll take these off your hands. Thank you for your 'generosity'," Feng Che smiled warmly.

Nakata nearly spat blood. "You... you're robbing me! I'm the poacher, but you... you're a demon! In thirty years, I have never seen someone so brazenly shameless!"

"You called me a 'kid' earlier," Feng Che whispered, leaning down. "I'm just returning the favor. Now, you've spent years stealing; surely you have a retirement fund hidden somewhere? Tell me where your collection is, and I might leave you with your life."

Nakata's pupils contracted. This boy wasn't just strong—he was a predator.

Feng Che didn't wait for an answer. He placed a hand on Nakata's forehead. Memory Scan.

Under the influence of his boosted psychic powers, Feng Che delved into Nakata's mind. He saw everything: the lives taken, the trainers betrayed, and finally, a secret account in Saffron City's underground bank filled with rare treasures.

"I see... a private vault in Saffron. Very nice. I'll be taking that," Feng Che muttered. He then flooded Nakata's mind with psychic feedback, wiping the last hour of his memory and scrambling his neural pathways.

Nakata began to foam at the mouth, his body twitching as if he'd suffered a stroke.

"I've left you your life, so don't be too grateful," Feng Che said to the unconscious man. "The League's prisons will be your home now."

Feng Che recalled his team. The deck was still a mess of battling Poachers and panicked tourists, but the immediate threat to him was neutralized.

Now... for the Silver Wing of Lugia.

He turned his gaze toward the bridge. A legendary treasure like that was too good to pass up.
