"Gain friendship and commitment."
Alex looked into Kasareth's eyes, his tone sincere.
"Humanity will form an alliance with the Usvej Ark to jointly resist the great enemy of Chaos until the galaxy is restored to peace."
Kasareth fell silent, clearly evaluating Alex's request.
While cooperation between Humans and Eldar was one thing, transferring technology to Humans still required careful consideration.
After all, it was impossible for the two sides to cooperate forever; once the threat of Chaos receded, the two races were highly likely to resume hostilities.
Seeing the other party hesitate, Alex continued to appeal to reason and emotion, intending to persuade him.
"After the Great Rift unfolded, the Warp winds have intensified by more than a hundredfold, and Mutants and Psyker are emerging endlessly. If even the penetration and invasion of Chaos cannot be effectively prevented, how can Humanity possibly defeat Chaos?"
"Helping Humanity is helping the Eldar. The Prince of Pleasure is constantly trying to corrupt the souls of your race. If Humanity fails, who else can be your ally?"
"Is it the Orks who view war as a source of pleasure, or the soulless Necrons, or the Tyranids / Tyranid who seek to devour the entire galaxy?"
Alex's words finally made Kasareth nod.
"Alright, you have convinced me."
"We will help you train Psyker and teach you how to properly use this power."
"Allow your Psyker to master the techniques and knowledge to combat Chaos, ensuring that important Human worlds will no longer be invaded."
"Thank you for your generosity." Alex smiled, "The friendship between Humanity and the Usvej Ark will surely endure."
The Eldar had long been divided into Craftworld Eldar, Exodite Eldar, Drukhari / Dark Aeldari, and Harlequin Troupes.
The alliance between the Death Guard and Guilliman did not mean that the entire Eldar race had allied with Humanity.
The Drukhari / Dark Aeldari's raids on Human planets were still common.
The Usve Ark world could only represent themselves, not the entire Eldar race.
Alex could only promise friendship with the Usvej Ark.
As for other Eldar factions, at most he would not provoke them.
If they sought death, he would not mind retaliating in kind.
Kasareth nodded, then spoke again: "When we came to the Calixis Sector, we received information from the Harlequin Troupe. They asked me to issue a warning to you."
"The treacherous Changer is intending to target you. The dark forces of the entire sector will become a web of conspiracy to bind you until you are completely defeated."
"The first to bear the brunt will be the Menagerie, this source of corruption rooted in the Calixis Sector, which is highly likely to cause all your efforts to come to naught."
"The Menagerie?" Kaiting frowned, repeating the blasphemous name.
"Does the Inquisition have anything to say about this?" Alex looked at Kaiting.
"Holy One, there is relevant information about this organization in the Inquisition."
Kaiting stepped forward.
He ordered his servant to take his bio-seal to retrieve the corresponding data.
The servant was very fast.
Soon, he returned with several members dressed in Inquisition attire.
They all held documents and data-slates.
The data-slates were placed into the reading device of the projection apparatus.
The textual documents were distributed to everyone.
As the projection refreshed, an introduction to the Menagerie appeared before everyone.
Among the many threats faced by the Calixis Sector Inquisition, the Menagerie was one of the most evil and dangerous entities.
Even though the Inquisition had spent a great deal of manpower and resources, they had not been able to confirm the Menagerie's true physical form.
Many people still did not acknowledge its existence, believing it to be mere nonsense.
But the Inquisition has always believed that the Menagerie truly exists and could potentially subvert the Holy Terra (Earth/Reality) of Calixis Sector.
The previous Grand Inquisitors, after a series of investigations, finally determined the Menagerie to be a threat that the Inquisition must eliminate.
They believed the Menagerie was very likely a terrifying region located somewhere in the Warp, composed of various secrets, intricate conspiracies, and horrors.
When someone is chosen, they are drawn into it through various inconceivable means.
The Menagerie exhibits the so-called 'truth' to its chosen audience, reveals the 'reality' of the Warp, and makes people confront the 'essence' of the universe.
This revelation causes terrible damage to the mind, body, and soul.
Most people go insane, while those who survive are forever changed, becoming staunch believers.
The last clearly recorded member to have entered the Menagerie was a foundry worker a year ago.
The individual claimed to have seen the 'truth' of the universe.
"Humans are monkeys, goats, elephants, everything; infinitely variable, anything can be Human, the word Human is meaningless."
"The Emperor is a liar, and the existence of the Imperium is an even greater lie. Only by destroying the Imperium and killing the Emperor can Humanity achieve salvation."
Before this worker was arrested, he was very enthusiastic about promoting the doctrine of change, advocating that the universe was constantly changing and that people could only survive by adapting to change.
The worker died after multiple interrogations.
His co-workers and relatives who had heard him preach the blasphemous doctrine were also listed as targets for excommunication.
Some were physically eliminated, and some had their memories and minds purged, being turned into Servitors.
Little Fatty, Chosen Llama, and other Players on the periphery of the meeting hall also passed around the Inquisition data they had received.
As high-level Players and Warband commanders,
they had always enjoyed the right to participate in meetings, and even to express their opinions.
However, considering the nature of Players, Alex had never required them to attend, but rather allowed them to choose freely.
"I'm quite sure Tzeentch has opened a zoo now." Little Fatty said humorously, looking at the data in his hand.
"It's a bit like a rule-based horror, using a series of methods to ultimately twist the mind and completely corrupt the soul."
Chosen Llama nodded, agreeing with Little Fatty.
"This game is just great, it has everything. I wonder if one day some Cthulhu characters like Deep Ones will pop up?" Blood Pigeon said with a laugh, not looking serious at all.
"Cthulhu will probably be hard to find, but Deep Ones are a dime a dozen; the Koronus Expanse seems to have them." Little Fatty stroked his chin. "Perhaps we'll encounter them when we expand outwards after we finish the Calixis Sector."
"When that time comes, we'll catch a few for Gabe; that guy said he wanted Cthulhu last time." Blood Pigeon revealed a mischievous smile.
Little Fatty raised an eyebrow and returned Blood Pigeon's mischievous smile with a look that said, 'I understand.'
"You two!!"
Little Alpaca rolled his eyes.
Even Slaanesh Daemons aren't as twisted as you guys!!
"..."
The people at the meeting also whispered amongst themselves, exchanging opinions.
In the past, the Inquisition's information was strictly confidential, and ordinary people couldn't access it at all.
Now, with the Great Rift open and Daemons rampant, coupled with the extremely rampant traitor forces in the Calixis Sector,
there was no longer a need to keep this information confidential, allowing ordinary officials like them to see it.
"The other party most likely intends to take advantage of the instability in the Calixis Sector to wantonly sow seeds of corruption, which will then erupt at a critical moment."
Alex could guess the intentions of those Tzeentch Daemons.
"The cunning of the Changer of Ways has always been the greatest among the gods. If they decide to deal with you, it will certainly be a series of conspiracies," Kasareth said. "You must be prepared, Saint of the Emperor."
Alex nodded. "I will, but I still hope you can assist us in eliminating these unstable factors."
"This is precisely why we are here, but how do you require our assistance?" Kasareth inquired.
"Can you find a way to send people into the Menagerie?" Alex looked at Kasareth, his face filled with anticipation.
Kasareth's eyes widened.
This request was somewhat unexpected for him!!
He had thought the other party would be thinking about how to sever the Menagerie's connection with Holy Terra (Earth/Reality),
or perhaps seeking out those who had been corrupted to cut them off at the root.
Who would have thought that the other party's first idea was to send people in!!
Was he suggesting that there weren't enough people corrupted by Tzeentch and wanted to step up the efforts??
"It is possible, but I do not recommend doing so. Even the most devout believers sent inside will be thoroughly corrupted."
The Eldar's psychic abilities at their peak were incredibly profound and beyond imagination.
They even had their own Eldar Pantheon in the Warp.
Things that were difficult for other races to comprehend,
such as the Menagerie's 'Tyrant Star' and the like,
were merely commonplace for them.
"Naturally, we can't send ordinary people." Alex grinned and laughed. "The God Chosen are protected by the Emperor's power; they can avoid the Menagerie's corruption."
Kasareth's pupils dilated slightly; this idea sounded feasible.
When the God Chosen first appeared before the Eldar, they had performed divinations on them,
and found that the fate of these people was a void,
evidently protected by the Emperor and some mysterious power.
As familiars of the Fifth Chaos God, the possibility of them being corrupted was indeed negligible.
The Menagerie was terrifying for ordinary people, who were powerless to resist.
But for powerful beings, it was nothing remarkable.
If everything could be corrupted and twisted into its own image,
Tzeentch would have long ago dragged Skarbrand and the Masque into it for fun.
'Perhaps it is feasible. If the God Chosen can be sent in, the power of the Human Emperor might influence the Menagerie.'
The more Kasareth thought about it, the more he felt this idea was simply genius.
The Menagerie would become a battlefield for Tzeentch and the Lord of Humanity,
and the mastermind behind it would surely be so vexed he would vomit blood.
Alex asked, "When can they be sent in?"
"It will take some time to prepare." Kasareth nodded. "A week from now."
"Thank you for your trouble, Seer."
Alex expressed his gratitude.
It looked like he could add some new gameplay for the Players.
How could a game not have dungeons!!
Let the Menagerie be the first.
"It's merely a small matter," Kasareth said.
"How come this plot feels like new gameplay is coming out?" Little Fatty sounded a little excited, his voice filled with anticipation.
"This Menagerie data doesn't look like it's about hack-and-slash; it must be about us outsmarting Tzeentch in the Menagerie."
Blood Pigeon agreed with Little Fatty's point of view.
"It looks like a dungeon is really coming out, and the Eldar will help. Maybe we can even get some Eldar relics."
"Sounds pretty good, but can the new gameplay not involve strategizing!! I'm not very good at that." Little Alpaca was a bit troubled.
"Then what are you good at? Seduction?" Little Fatty raised an eyebrow, a mischievous smile on his face.
Little Alpaca grabbed Little Fatty's collar, gave a sharp tug, and then delivered a knee strike to his abdomen.
The immense force instantly made Little Fatty's face flush red,
and he doubled over like a large shrimp, collapsing to the ground.
Little Alpaca clapped his hands. "I'm better at hitting people. Do you want to try again?"
"No, I've already felt it." Little Fatty waved his hand.
After a long while, he slowly stood up, his legs trembling uncontrollably.
"It would be great if the Menagerie could have a hack-and-slash mode, where you don't have to think about anything, just keep cutting," Little Alpaca said with some regret.
"It's Khorne's loss that he didn't bless you," Blood Pigeon said faintly from the side.
"Do you know who the strongest Chess Saint of the Han Dynasty was?" Little Fatty rubbed his stomach, leaning against the wall.
"Who?" Blood Pigeon was puzzled.
Little Fatty put his other hand on Blood Pigeon's shoulder and began to explain.
"It was Emperor Jing of Han, Liu Qi. The reason he was called the Chess Saint was because he used the chessboard to smash his opponent to death. When his opponent died, he won the game, so this move was also called Liu Qi's Sure-Win Chess Method."
"Other games are hard to say, but Warhammer OL, which claims to be 100% realistic, means that Players can develop entirely new ways to clear it, not limited to one. They can definitely use the Sure-Win Chess Method too."
Little Alpaca showed a look of sudden realization, clenching his fists.
"Does that mean if I just kill the Menagerie's BOSS, it counts as clearing it??"
