Loona is sitting at the desk in I.M.P Headquarters when suddenly the door opens and inside are thrown Blitz, Moxxie and Millie, all of them handcuffed.
"What the fuck?!"
Loona yells, both in shock and annoyance. She then frozes, when a familiar figure walks inside.
Prince Morningstar? What is he doing here? Oh my Beelzebub, what did you do this time, Blitz?
"Greetings Miss Loona. Would you be so kind as to show us to the conference room? I would also appreciate if you joined us since this matter involves the I.M.P as a whole."
Loona looks at Blitz, lying and cursing on the ground. She then looks at the prince again. He wears a kind and charming smile, his pale violet eyes seem to directly radiate calmness.
Loona feels suddenly calm in his presence.
Her colleagues and friends feel equally at ease, despite being handcuffed. Even Blitz stopps cursing.
"Of course, Your Highness. It's this way."
Uncharacteristically polite, Loona ushers the prince and her colleagues into the conference room.
She feels a bit embarrassed, when she notices prince looking over Blitz's notes on the whiteboard behind the head of the table.
"Please sit down."
Mephisto says to the I.M.P members who immediately obey without any comments.
"As for the crash, luckily none of my employees were killed. However, they were hurt and are currently at the hospital. Also, two of my security cars were completely destroyed, and this means that you will have to make up for the damage somehow."
Blitz is already taking a breath to protest, when Mephisto shoots him a threatening look.
"And there is also another, much more serious matter..."
The prince says in a serious tone before pausing to look each of them in the eye one by one. His expression is now cold, his smile disappears and it is clear, that he is in no mood for any tricks.
"Your business requires you to visit Earth. So I wonder how a group of imps and a hellhound travel on Earth. Which of the Ars Goetia Houses gave you the means and permission? Or did one of the Seven Sins give you permission?"
"Stolas- I mean Prince Stolas, he gave us permission and lent us his grimoire."
Blitz says hesitantly, trying to hide his nervousness behind a big smile.
Stolas will surely handle this issue with this dude, since they are both princes, right?
At least that's what Blitz secretly hopes for.
Mephisto is silent and is just looking Blitz dead in the eye.
Could this be the one Stolas cheated on his wife with? I guess that then it would probably make sense, that he gave this group permission to travel to Earth. But I have my doubts about it being legal.
"That grimoire – bring it here."
Mephisto says, looking now at Loona. He's sure, that if he sends Blitz for the grimoire, the imp will try to escape.
The tall hellhound goth lass stands up from the table and goes to Blitz's office. After a minute she returns, grimoire in hands.
Mephisto immediately recognises the sigil on the books cover.
It truly belongs to Stolas – or at least to the family of Goetic King Paimon...
"Do you have a contract here, that confirms you are legally borrowing this book?"
They all look at each other and then, again somewhat nervously, Blitz speaks.
"You know, Your Highness, there wasn't a time for that yet, and this contract is, how do I put it, somewhat immoral?"
I don't want to tell a brat from the royal family about me being a whore to some pompous asshole.
Mephisto rises an eyebrow at Blitz's response.
Immoral deal? In Hell? No way...
Prince thinks to himself sarcastically, while internally rolling his eyes. Then he simply says:
"So, basically you have this grimoire illegally..."
Blitz panics and shouts:
"No, we really have a permission! Just ask Stolas!"
Mephisto coldly responds:
"That maybe so, but it doesn't change the fact that he lend you his grimoire illegally, as there is no document proving otherwise. Hellborn demons of lower class aren't permitted to hold such a powerful items, unless they are in contract with a Goetic demon or higher."
There is silence in the whole room. Moxxie closes his eyes, clutches his head, and begins to wail softly. Millie snuggles up to her husband and looks pleadingly at Mephisto. Blitz gets up from his chair, climbs onto the table and says straight to the prince's face:
"You know what, you moron? Now I'm going to call Stolas to come here and deliver the fucking agreement here in writing, since Mr. 'I have to shit according to the regulations' obviously has nothing better to do than piss off those who weren't born as well as he was!"
Millie and Moxxie gasps while Loona just facepalms and whispers:
"We're so fucked."
Mephisto's expression is unreadable. He just silently stares at Blitz.
Amusing, this imp. He has some serious guts no doubt. Or he's just plain stupid.
"You see, I actually do have a better things to do with my time, than bother myself with the likes of you. Like, for example, today's meeting with the VoxTek Enterprises, which I had to cancel because of you."
Claimed Mephisto with a rather mocking tone. He isn't sure if this imp irritates him or entertains him. Either way, Blitz was right about one thing – they should call Stolas.
....
The tall owl-like demon currently argues with his not-so-dear wife. When they are at the height of their argument, the phone rings.
Nothing.
Neither of the two bird-like Goetic demons bothers to notice the phone ringing. On the other side of the call, Blitz silently prays to Satan, that Stolas will pick up eventually.
C'mon you horny bastard. Pick up the damn phone!
The phone ringed again and this time, someone actually noticed it. Octavia, daughter of Stolas and Stella, stared at the ringing phone for a moment before announcing:
"Mom, dad! The phone is ringing!"
Neither of her parents turns to face her, however her voice stops them from yelling at each other further.
Finally, Stella snorts and leaves the room. Stolas looks at Octavia, who rolls her eyes and walks away as well.
A really perfect start to the day.
As soon as Stolas gets to the phone, his mood improves greatly.
Blitzy is calling me?!
"H-Hello Blitzy."
"Hey, Stolas, we uh have a bit of an emergency here-"
"Ooh, what kind of an emergency?"
Says Stolas in a seductive voice, making Blitz slightly blush and cringe at the same time.
"Look Stolas, could you just get to the I.M.P Headquarters a real quick?"
"Of course, Blitzy. I'll be there in ten minutes."
"Great. I'll see you then."
Before Stolas can answer, Blitz immediately hangs up to avoid a possible endless goodbye from Stolas' side and thus not to embarrass himself even more.
Stolas really sounded like he couldn't wait to see this imp again.
Mephisto notes to himself.
....
When Stolas arrives, he is surprised to see in conference room, in addition to Blitz and his staff, three tall black-suited hellhounds and the Prince of Hell himself.
"Your Highness? Wha- what are you doing here?"
"Greetings, Prince Stolas. The boss of the I.M.P claims, that you permitted him to use your grimoire."
Mephisto says in a serious voice and places the grimoire in front of Stolas. Stolas swallows hard. Unlike Blitz, he is well aware that his little deal with Blitz is illegal and that Prince Morningstar finding the Stolas' grimoire with Blitz could cause problems. A huge problems.
"However, it seems that the written down contract is missing."
Continues Mephisto as he notices Stolas's shocked expression. He really doesn't want to cause too much trouble for the Goetic Prince, so he suggests:
"I suppose, that this issue can still be fixed. If you conclude the contract today and give me a copy of it, I can deliver it today to the Goetic King responsible for overseeing the fulfillment of contracts."
As Mephisto finishes his proposal, Stolas pales. That king is Stolas' father, the Goetic King Paimon. Although Stolas would have preferred his father not to find out about his affair with Blitz, he couldn't deny that it is still a better option, than going to the Hell's Courtroom with it. That could also end with Blitz's execution, given that since Lucifer's departure from the Wrath Ring, Satan, the Sin of Wrath, has been leading the Hell's Courtroom.
"Very well, I- I suppose that is fair. Thank you, Your Highness, for deciding to keep this matter between us."
Mephisto gives him a slight nod.
"In that case I think there's no time for delay. Let's write it all down and get it over with."
Fortunately, the contract doesn't have a lot of conditions, so it doesn't take long to write it. As a witness, Mephisto also reads the contract, to verify that everything in it is as it should be and that there is no loophole in it.
This makes Stolas blush with embarrassment and Mephisto earns some unflattering nicknames such as "pervert" "creep" or "sicko" from Blitz.
Mephisto, on the other hand, is completely unfazed by the contents of the contract and reads it with blank expression.
Loona then makes a copy, which she hands to Mephisto with a disgusted expression.
"Okay, you already have the fucking copy of our contract. How about you waltzed the fuck away now?"
Mephisto just raises an eyebrow. Then he scathingly says:
"Sure. Have you already come up with a proposal on how to pay for the damage to my vehicles? Because I'm afraid your little company can't afford to pay me anything right now."
Oh crap.
"Uh, Blitz? What did you do?"
Asks confused Stolas.
"Nothing! It was a fucking accident, okay? It's not like I planned to crash into one of this asshole's fancy security cars!"
"Blitzy! Watch your tongue, you are talking about Prince Morningstar."
Blitz rolls his eyes and then apologizes with a forced smile.
"Apology accepted. Actually, if you don't have a better suggestion, I have one. Since several of my bodyguards are in the hospital right now, you four could stand in for them until they recover. Afterward, we'll be even."
"No fucking-"
"Of course he accepts it, you are very kind, Prince Mephisto."
Shut up, Blitz. Shut. Up.
"Splendid. I'll take my leave then. I expect to see all four of you in Lu Lu World this evening. I'll see you then."
Mephisto doesn't wait for an answer and leaves the room with his hellhounds. Once Stolas is sure, that Mephisto and his security can no longer hear him, he turns to Blitz.
"Are you crazy, Blitzy? I really like your sovereignty about you, but if you acted like this in front of any other noble, they would have killed you on the spot! Fortunately for you, Morningstar's reputation as a 'benevolent prince' seems to be at least partially true, given that he treated you more like a business partner than a slave. Even though he appeared to be irritated, in the end he decided not to make a scandal out of the whole matter by taking it to the Infernal Court."
"So what? Should I be grateful?"
"Yes, Blitz. You should."
Blitz rolls his eyes again. Stolas just hopelessly sighs. Then he opens the portal, leading to his house and leaves the I.M.P Headquarters too.
