Maxing out Bear Grappler didn't cause Hyuga Arin to lose his role as a sniper—but how many shots he could fire was another matter entirely.
As the power increased, the chakra consumption rose accordingly.
Still, the power was definitely far greater than simply throwing things by hand.
"I really want to become a jinchūriki," Hyuga Arin muttered suddenly, feeling a surge of longing for that identity.
"That way I wouldn't have to worry about chakra at all."
With just this max-level Bear Grappler alone, if he became a jinchūriki, he wouldn't fear anyone—he'd instantly have Kage-level combat power.
As for the village's fear and hatred toward jinchūriki?
Hyuga Arin would teach them exactly what Homelander meant.
He doesn't eat beef!!
Of course, that was just wishful thinking.
A jinchūriki position would never fall to him.
The Hyuga clan had never produced a jinchūriki in the first place.
"I remember that Tailed Beasts drop Tailed Beast Chakra, and nine of them can be fused into Ten-Tails Chakra," Hyuga Arin rubbed his chin.
If he couldn't become a jinchūriki, he could always farm all nine Tailed Beasts instead.
…That would have to wait until he could solo five ninja villages.
Hyuga Arin finally turned his attention to the eight items in his inventory.
Five came from Shōzō.
Three came from Terra.
Among them were two items that gave Hyuga Arin the confidence to return to Konoha.
[Nen Exorcist Skill Fragment (2/10)]
One fragment had dropped from Shōzō, and one from Terra.
Now, all ten fragments had been fully collected, and they fused together automatically.
[Skill: Nen Exorcism]
"Finally… I can deal with this damned Caged Bird," Hyuga Arin let out a low chuckle.
From now on, the Hyuga main family would no longer be able to control him.
He chose to learn it immediately.
[Nen Exorcism (No Level)]
No-level skills were extremely rare in the game, and every one of them was incredibly powerful.
Take Nen Exorcism, for example—it could expel any seal or lingering force formed by energy.
Other no-level skills included Voice of All Things from the pirate world, and Prophecy from the Naruto world, among a few others.
The former was relatively easy to obtain—farming Kirigakure ninjas made it drop fairly often.
The latter required farming the Great Toad Sage of Mount Myōboku.
Voice of All Things allowed one to understand the voices of both living beings and inanimate objects, making it perfect for missions—a favorite skill among quest-focused players.
Prophecy, on the other hand, allowed players to see all item drop tables. For grinding-focused players like Hyuga Arin, it was a god-tier skill.
Hyuga Arin only knew the drops of major bosses.
For people like Shōzō or Terra, he had no idea what they would drop beforehand.
With Prophecy, you'd know everyone's drops in advance.
He did have cards with similar effects, but those were consumables.
A skill only required chakra.
Hyuga Arin removed his forehead protector and gathered chakra in his hand, lightly wiping it across his forehead.
The green markings slowly turned into black patterns.
It symbolized the complete suppression of the Caged Bird Seal.
"To completely remove it will still take time," Hyuga Arin said, holding up a mirror and examining the black markings on his forehead.
They actually looked better than the green ones.
Nen Exorcism didn't erase it instantly—the Caged Bird Seal was far too complex, and it had been bonded to Hyuga Arin for too long.
For now, it could only deactivate it.
Based on his calculations, fully erasing it safely would take at least three years.
This was the safest method.
If Hyuga Arin didn't care about damage to his Byakugan or his brain, he could forcibly erase it by expending a massive amount of chakra.
But to be safe, he abandoned that violent approach.
He didn't want to become an idiot.
If he went blind, leveling up or using the Breath of the Archangel could heal him.
If he became an idiot… he might not even think to use them.
The main family really deserved to die.
"Byakugan!"
Hyuga Arin activated his Byakugan.
The 360-degree blind spot was completely gone.
Aside from the black markings, the Caged Bird Seal's effects were now entirely absent.
"It seems Nen Exorcism could also remove Tailed Beast seals," Hyuga Arin mused, rubbing his chin as his thoughts began to wander again.
Only after forcefully reminding himself that his strength still wasn't enough did he pull his thoughts back.
He turned to the remaining six items.
First were the other two drops from Terra.
[Chimera Ant Ring: Increases Nen capacity by 1000]
[Skill: God's Left Hand, Devil's Right Hand]
"Jackpot," Hyuga Arin's eyes lit up as he stared at the skill.
This was Kuroro's ability from the original Hunter x Hunter—specifically, Kortopi's power from the Phantom Troupe.
Touch an object with the left hand, and the right hand could create an identical copy.
Living beings couldn't be copied, but even fixed biological forms could be replicated.
Regardless of size, the copied object would disappear after 24 hours—and it retained all the original object's functions and effects.
In other words, if he had one explosive tag, he could have endless explosive tags.
He just needed to use them all up within 24 hours.
The only real limitation was his chakra.
"Learn it. Learn it."
Hyuga Arin put on the ring and immediately learned the ability.
[Chakra/Nen: 1132 / 1110 + 50 + 20 + 1000]
His chakra cap surpassed two thousand.
The pressure on his chakra reserves vanished instantly.
"I'm not far from ten thousand chakra anymore," Hyuga Arin clenched his fist.
His hands were clean—equipment didn't appear unless he chose to display it.
[God's Left Hand, Devil's Right Hand (Lv.1) EXP (0/100)]
He digested the usage of the ability.
By consuming chakra, he could copy inanimate objects. The larger and heavier the object, the greater the chakra cost.
Since it was only level one, the copied items lasted just one hour—but they retained all original properties.
Unlike the original version, he couldn't track the copies simply by touching the original. That likely required leveling up.
"One hour is more than enough," Hyuga Arin thought.
Everything would probably be used up by then anyway.
And he could always upgrade the skill later.
Finally, he turned to Shōzō's four drops.
[Nanika's Wish List Fragment (1/10)]
No need to say much—he'd only collected three so far.
The remaining seven? Who knew how long that would take.
[Dark Battle Blade: +1000–5000 Attack. Inflicts Disease, Weakness, and Severe Injury states. Killing an enemy grants +10 Attack.]
"Top-tier Hunter equipment," Hyuga Arin said, taking it out and admiring it fondly.
He never expected to obtain a Hunter endgame weapon at just level twenty-something.
It was part of the Dark Set's top-tier gear.
Thankfully, these items had no level requirement—he could use it immediately.
With this blade in a frontal clash, he wouldn't fear anyone.
"Wait a second…" Hyuga Arin suddenly realized something.
"My melee combat ability seems to have dropped."
After Bear Grappler turned into the Paw-Paw Fruit ability, his raw strength had plummeted.
"No good. I need to find a chance to learn Monster Strength Technique."
He'd tasted the benefits of overwhelming strength too many times to give it up so easily.
He stored the blade and turned to the last two items—
Two items that made him feel like the game's possibilities had just expanded again.
