Keifer's POV
I was sleeping peacefully when I woke up drenched in sweat and I had tears in my eyes.
"Wth just happened?",I whispered to myself while trying to recall everything.
Was it a nightmare?And then everything came flushing back.
*In Keifer's dream*
Everyone was happy.I was with Jay,her family,my siblings and my mother.(Yes you read it right,his MOTHER)Me and Jay were going to announce her pregnancy and we were really nervous because we're too young.
We were eating dinner at Jay's house and everything was going good until someone unexpected showed up in her doorway.Keizer.My monster father who made our lives a living hell.My mother tried to protect me and my siblings by talking to him but he didn't listen to a word she said.
His eyes were fixed on Jay and slowly moved to her stomach.Then he smirked and started approaching her.I instinctively went in between them and held Jay behind me.He looked at me.Like really looked at me and said loud enough for everyone to hear
"So, I heard that you're having a child.Is that true?"
My heart dropped but I didn't let it show.Instead I answered with confidence in my voice
"Yes.Got a problem with that?"
"Don't talk to your father like that Keifer",he said
"Father?So now you're my father huh? How about 10 years ago? Where you treating us like a father treats his son's then?"
"It doesn't matter anymore.Im still your father either you like it or not."
"No.You lost the privilege of a father the second you laid your hands on us", I said pointing at my siblings and mother."So,no it's none of your business what we do anymore.Leave.Now that I'm still calm.Before things get messy."
I could feel everyone staring at me.Jay on the other hand was still behind me looking straight at Keizer's eyes with a smug grin on her face,like saying 'you don't want to see him getting mad.Leave while you still have a chance'.
He actually listened to me and left.The second he closed the door on his way out I felt her hands tugging me from behind.I instantly turned towards her and hugged her tightly,but not too tightly because I'm scared that I might hurt the baby.
"Hgm hgm, we're still here you know"Percy said
"Shut up Percy"I said letting go of Jay and looking at her.
"You're brave you know?",she said
"I'll always be if it means protecting you and our baby"
"Oh yeah about that...."Angelo cut me off."Would you mind explaining what the hell is happening?"
Oh no he is angry.We' re not off to a good start.
"I'm pregnant ", Jay blurted out while slowly getting behind me again
"Wow scared of your own kuya?"
"You can't blame me though.I think you should hide too.I mean look at him, he's fuming with anger right now."
I slowly turned around and faced him.
"WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY SISTER, WATSON?",he screamed
I looked at my mom who was now sitting on a chair trying to process everything.She wasn't mad though,she was calm.Too calm.
"Mom",i said
She looked at me.
"Answer the question Angelo asked you Keifer."she said in a dangerous voice
"WATSON!",he roared
"LOOK AT ME AND TELL ME YOU'RE JOKING RIGHT NOW..."
"No, Angelo we're not joking."
That was it.He suddenly stood up and started coming towards me,while I just stood there waiting for what he's gonna do.But I definitely didn't expect what he'd do next.
He stopped in front of me stared at me and then pulled me into a tight hug.
"You better not mess everything up, Keifer."
"Okay Boss"
"And stop calling me Boss.Just call me kuya too."
I was too stunned to speak so I just hugged him back.Slowly everyone joined us and started crying happy tears.When we pulled back I looked at Jay and kissed her forehead.Then I pulled her,my mother and my siblings into another hug.
"Ate?",Kieren said to Jay
"Yes, Kieren?"
"Since you are pregnant does that mean me and Keigan are gonna be uncles?"
"The best uncles ever",she answered laughing.
*Keifer's dream ended*
And just like that I woke up.So it wasn't a nightmare huh?And the tears were happy tears.
"That was so weird",I said already standing up
Jay's POV
*Skip to 2 weeks*
Today is my last day here.I need to start packing my stuff.I started with my clothes.As I was storing them in my suitcase I came across old photos of me.Most of them were with Section e and Kiefer.I miss them so much but I can't meet them yet.
After I finished packing my clothes I went downstairs to see everyone one last First I went to papa.Je was watching TV so I just sat beside him hugged him tightly.He looked confused at first but hugged me back eventually.
Then I went to my stepmom Lina.She always saw me as her own child and I feel safe with her.I hugged her too and went to Percy's room.
I opened the door and he was watching a movie.
"Hey",he said
"Oh,hey.Can I sit with you?"
"Sure.Is everything ok?"
"Yeah,I just want to be with you",I said hugging him tightly.
"You sure?"
I nodded.
"I'll miss you Percy.I'll miss miss you being self obsessed about your face every ten minutes.", I whispered
"What did you say baby sistah?"
"Nothing,don't worry about it"
"Do you want to sleep here tonight Jay?"
And God I wanted to because it might be the last time I'm seeing him but I couldn't.I need to leave ASAP.
"No,Percy.I can't sorry."
I stood up I opened the door to leave.
"I love you Jay.",he said
What happened to him?No baby sistah,no bragging about his face.Is he sick?
"I love you to Percy"
I smiled at him and left.I think I'll miss him the most.He is always there for me and understands me so much.But it's all in the past now.I have to move forward for me and my baby.
I wrote a note explaining my situation and sneaked out of the room.I took a final look at my house and disappeared into the night.
Percy's POV
She looked calm.Like too calm.The way she spoke with sadness in her voice like it was the last time she'll see me.The way she hugged me tightly like I might go away.I asked her to stay with me but she denied.
*The next morning*
I woke up and went to Jay's bedroom to wake her up as usual but she wasn't there.At first I thought she might have woken up before me until I noticed that her stuff were missing.
"Jay",I said.No answer
"Jay Jay are you here?"
Still no answer.
I went downstairs and found Mama and Papa crying.
"Hoi what happened here?"
They looked at me and gave me a note.
"What's this?",I asked
"Read it"
I did.I started crying too.She left.She thought she will be a burden.She thought that we wouldn't want the baby.
I tried calling her but she didn't pick up.Damn Jay you're making me worry.I called Keifer and told him everything.
"I'm on my way there",he said
Keifer's POV
Percy called me and told me about Jay.He said that she left last night.She left a note and vanished.Why do you keep disappearing Jay?
The moment he said she's gone I was already in my car going to the airport.I need to be there.I need to find her.
I arrived 6 hours later (I'm not sure how long the flight actually lasts so I put a random number 😅)and immediately went to Percy's house.
"Percy?Where are you?"
"Bro, you're here.I missed you"
"Me too.Now,I've told Edrix to track her location so we can find her easier."
"Don't bother.She left her phone here"
"She did what?"
"She knew you would track her"
He's right though.We have tracked her many times.
"She's really gone,huh?",I asked unable to believe it
No one spoke after that.
*Meanwhile....*
Jay's POV
I arrived to California at noon and went to my apartment.It was small but cozy and cute.
"I guess this is our house now",I said while rubbing my belly
I started college there.I wanted to be a doctor.It was really hard but it was my dream since I was little.
*6 months later*
It happened too fast.I was at home studying when I felt a strong pain on my stomach,followed by water in between my legs.
"Oh my goodness this is happening...."
I quickly called my friend Liz.She was always there for me when I needed help and supported my decisions.
"Hey girl.Whats up?"
"Hey Liz.My water just broke.Can you come with me to the hospital?"
"WHAT? Don't worry Jay.Im coming in 5 minutes t your place."
"Thanks Liz.I knew I could trust you."
"Always.Now get your hospital bag and open your door.Im outside.
I did.She was waiting for me in the doorway,eyes wide with fear.
"Let's go", I said.
The drive to the hospital wasn't long but It felt like years.The moment the car stopped Liz jumped out shouting for a doctor.
"Yes ma'am we can handle the situation from here."the doctor told her
"Liz,come with me please 🥺"
"Yeah, sure"
They took me to the emergency room while I was screaming in pain.
Once I laid down on the bed the doctor came and started telling me to push.
After many hours, crying and shouting a high pitched cry cut through the room.
"It's a girl.",Liz said
I took her into my arms and she immediately stopped crying.
"Hi baby.Im your mom",I said while tears streamed down my face.
"Have you thought of a name for her?",the doctor asked
"Kayla Serina Mariano Watson",I said
I wanted to name her after Keifer's mother because I know how much she meant to him.Mariano because that's my name,my blood and Watson because that's her father's name.Oh,and Kayla was Liz's choice and I loved it.
"I would like to see Keifer's reaction to this",Liz said
"Yeah...He would love her"
"I bet he would cry."
We both laughed.
"I miss him", I said
"Don't you think you two should meet up.Like he has a daughter now and he doesn't even know."
"No.Not yet.Im not ready."
"Ok"
