Chapter 7 - THE GRIFFIN SISTERS

"Elise?"

"Is that you Elise?" Eloise moved closer and she frowned deeply. It was her younger sister. They have been searching for her for a few days and had even reported her missing to the police.

"So this is where you ran to? You have nerve Elise, after everything you did to father." Eloise began. One would think Elise had killed someone by how she accused her so loudly.

Then, she hurried outside to get the rest of her sisters to come see the rat they had all been looking for.

Elise had no idea this was their favorite sewing place, otherwise, she would never have agreed to step out of the car for fear of being caught.

The last thing she had wanted when she stepped out of the mansion was to meet her family. She had thought that since she was now with a man like Lucien Voss, they would never be able to see her.

"Where?" She heard the others and panicked immediately.

"Who are they?" Ruth asked and before Elise could respond...

"Oh my God, I cannot believe it." All six of them ran in with their children to see Elise who was still standing with Ruth. John who had been deep in conversation with the owner paused at the scene unfolding before him. His eyes narrowed.

"Elise!" One of the sisters poked Elise's shoulder. Her name is Eleanor, the third daughter.

"How dare you run away," Eleanor yelled at her.

"What are you even wearing?" Another asked. She was Esther, the fourth daughter.

"Do you think disguising yourself as a man would change anything. You look hideous and your heart is still as dark as the deepest part of hell." Eloise yelled. She was mad that everyone pointed at her to donate her kidney since Elise ran away.

They said she had more advantages of living more than the others since they were all getting older.

Why should she have to donate her kidney?

She had taken it upon herself to find Elise and now that she had found her, she would never let her go.

"Do you work here now? What person would even hire a person like you?" Edna, the first daughter asked. Then all six women turned to the owner of the shop.

"Oh Madam Sasha, we have no idea you would go this low." Ember, the fifth daughter said.

"I don't want any problem in my shop," Sasha said stepping forward.

"This girl is our sister and a very wicked person at that. She caused our father's illness, yet has refused to help him out." Elise frowned at her words. She didn't mind if they told others bad things about her, but John was here and she wanted to maintain a good reputation before her master.

"I didn't cause father's illness." Elise defended herself.

"Oh shut up." Edna barked at her.

"I just had a baby, and she expects me to take good care of my sick father. How can you be so heartless Elise? This is why you're the way you are you malnourished donkey." Elise's eyes moistened. They knew she was this way because of her illness.

"I'm pregnant Elise. You know it's not our fault you're not blessed in marriage and have children like us even though you're of age. The least you can do is help OUT." Esther said.

"I don't know why we're even wasting our time talking. You're coming back with us right now." Eloise grabbed her hands and Elise started struggling with her. Her body was already weak. Hell, her body is always weak, but she struggled with healthy Eloise.

"You're resisting?" Eloise barked.

"I'm not going back with you. I will not donate my kidney to anyone." Elise fought back, biting the hands off Eloise who screamed from the pain.

"This is it, take your madness out of here. You're scaring my customers." Sasha yelled at them but they ignored her for the second time. Never in her life has she seen such an uncouth family.

"Elise!!!" A hand went across Elise's face harshly and she fell to the floor.

A bag landed on her back then came another.

"How dare you try to hurt a family member after everything we've done for you? Eloise is pregnant for crying out loud." Esther yelled at her hitting her with her own heavy bag, containing her children's things and Elise spat out blood immediately.

Everything was slowly turning black, and in that moment, she let the darkness consume her.

"You'd better hope nothing happens to her," Edna said pointing to Elise on the ground without an idea that their sister had passed out.

"Drag her feet, we must take her to the doctor now!" Eleanor grabbed Elise's feet but Elise didn't budge or fight back like before.

"Elise?" They called.

"Elise stop messing around." Esther used her feet to kick her but no response came. All the saw was blood spilling from her nose and mouth.

They all panicked. "Is she dead yet. Hurry, let us take her to the hospital so that we can remove the kidney before it dies with her." John frowned at this. He had stayed there quietly to see how things would turn out, but right now, it was getting out of hand.

He had no idea the maid he found last night had family. He had told his master she had none.

He didn't know why he had not investigated and just assumed. Oh, his master is so going to kill him if he finds out.

"Enough." John's voice was calm. As Calm as it always was, though it often gets misunderstood but can be very dangerous to the right persons.

All six sisters turned to look at him.

He crouched beside Elise, fingers pressing to her neck to feel her weakened pulse and his jaw tightened.

"She's barely breathing," he said calmly.

Edna scoffed. "We don't need your help, mister."

"You would need my help soon when you answer to my boss," John said calmly.

"You'd better hope nothing happens to her. You have just hurt a property of Lucien Voss. He doesn't play with his people." Their eyes turned wide.

There wasn't anyone who wasn't aware of Lucien Voss. A multi-billionaire and ruthless tycoon.

No one wanted to be under his mercy, because he is heartless.

They weren't fazed by Elise's illness. No. In fact, they all wanted her dead long before now. They have punished her so much in the past even though they knew she was seriously sick.

"We underestimated you Elise. Wow." Eloise said.

"Let's go," Edna said and all the women stepped out of the shop immediately.

"Miss Elise." John tried calling, but no response came again. He quickly carried Elise in his arms and into the car.

While the car drove away, the Griffin sisters stared at the car that carried their sister. "What a smart bitch."

"Now fucking a man as high as Lucien Voss." Esther shook her head.

"How are we sure that man was not lying," Eleanor asked.

"Yeah, from what I know, Lucien Voss is gay," Esther said.

"You're right, but whoever that man is. He looks really powerful." Eloise said.
