Chapter 7 - Crisis Upon Blue Star

‎"Every squad leader on base—front of me, right now!" Commander Babar's voice boomed across the Command Center, sharp as a blade.

‎"If anyone arrives late… I will punish them with my own hands."

‎His tone was pure steel—no one dared doubt him.

‎---

‎Meanwhile, Shintaro was escorting Ziro through the dimly lit corridors.

‎"Umm… Shintaro," Ziro asked cautiously, "is something dangerous happening? I don't know all the details, but… I think something went wrong with the mutation of all living beings on Earth, right?"

‎Shintaro didn't look at him. "Don't panic. Get some rest. We'll discuss it later."

‎Ziro stepped into his assigned quarters. But before he could speak—

‎Click.

‎The door locked.

‎Ziro's eyes widened. "No! Shintaro—open the door! Why are you locking me in here? Shintaro!!"

‎But Shintaro was already gone—disappearing into the shadows, moving to lock every other survivor's room one by one.

‎Some people peeked from their doors to see what was happening—until they caught sight of Shintaro. His cold presence, his silent movements… to them, it was like a mist-born phantom had appeared. They slammed their doors shut without a word, making his job far easier.

‎ziro ughhh!!! Fuck it won't even budge....what can I do now...

‎---

‎In the Command Center, Commander Babar stood at the front, scanning the room with eyes like twin storms.

‎"Listen carefully," he said, voice heavy. "If anyone here isn't paying attention… I'll be happy to personally repeat the explanation later."

‎The anger in his tone made a few leaders straighten instantly.

‎He glanced at the empty spot near the end of the table. "Hmph. Shintaro isn't here yet. One minute, then…"

‎The first voice came from a man in a long medical coat, sleeves stained faintly red—Medic Squad Leader, Doc. Octo.

‎"What's the sudden fuss? I was in the middle of treating the injured when your summons came."can you make it quick I need to tidy up my work.

‎Another voice followed, smooth but weary—Hunter Squad Leader, Lilith.

‎"Ugh… I need rest. Do you know how many monsters we had to kill just to clear the port's construction zone?"

Hehehe... Blue tech develop leader Shishir-"I just want to collect every material in this planet. Then I will become the king of tech..hahahaha!!!"

‎A deep, armored voice cut in—Iron Defense Leader, Roman.

‎"Enough. If the commander called us all at once, it must be urgent."

‎From the research wing, Professor Sherry adjusted her glasses. "Be quiet. Commander will explain. But… why are they here? The Mad Dogs aren't squad leaders."

‎Babar answered simply, "I called them. They're not leaders—but they're… capable."

‎first blood !! double kill !! triple kill !! maniac!!savage!!!

Everyone irritated...

(‎sudden )Crash!

‎"What the—?!" Sherry spun toward the noise.

‎"Hey! Mad Dogs! Don't touch that—No!! My computer!"

‎Babar's gaze didn't waver. "They need discipline. But they're still useful."

‎In that brief moment, the last missing figure entered—Shintaro, Ranger Squad Leader—silent as a shadow.

‎Babar nodded once. "Now that everyone is present… I'll begin the briefing."

‎The atmosphere shifted instantly. Even the Mad Dogs stopped moving. No one had ever seen Commander Babar this serious.

‎---

‎"You all know," Babar began, "that it hasn't been long since the planet called Earth was swallowed by the Black Star."

‎His voice was deep, carrying weight.

‎"Every time a planet falls, we face disasters—monsters, chaos, survivors fighting to live. Sometimes, a few manage to escape. We've seen this before. But…"

‎He paused. Eyes swept across the room.

‎"This planet is different."

‎He took a step forward.

‎"What if I told you… Earth didn't have a thousand people? Not even a million. It had eight billion."

‎Gasps and murmurs broke out.

‎"I know what you're thinking—'That means the survivor count must be huge.'" His tone hardened. "But it wasn't only humans that lived there. There were trillions of other species. Which means—at least a billion, maybe trillions, of monsters have survived the mutation."

‎The silence was suffocating.

‎"As a result, our Ranger Squad has suffered heavy injuries—some haven't returned at all. Even the Hunter Squad took losses while clearing the port's surroundings."

‎His gaze sharpened like a drawn blade. "You understand the situation now. This isn't a fight for territory. It's a fight against a living, breathing ocean of predators."

‎Then, to everyone's shock, Commander Babar bowed his head.

‎"I—Commander of Sky City Military Port—beg you… save as many survivors as you can. And for those still on the planet Blue Star—kill every monster that breathes."

‎The room erupted in protests.

‎"Commander, no—!"

‎"You don't need to bow to us—!"

‎Doc. Octo's voice rose above the rest. "We know the stakes. To survive, we have to fight. After all—" his eyes narrowed, "with great power… comes great responsibility."

‎Every squad leader nodded in agreement.

‎A faint warmth returned to Babar's voice. "Then… we move."

‎In the next breath, the warmth was gone—replaced by steel.

‎"Squad leaders—move out immediately. Kill every monster. Rescue every human. That is my order."

‎A unified "Yes, sir!" shook the room.

‎And with that—the hunt began.
