Chapter 45 - Chapter 45: Mysterious Building

"She is cheating!"

Looking at Tsunade, Li Ke blurted out his complaint.

The reason was simple.

In the previous battle, he was almost victorious!

Then…

Tsunade activated the Yin Seal.

Her stored chakra instantly replenished her stamina, and because chakra is a combination of physical and mental energy, it also restored Tsunade's mental strength.

Then, it was a matter of being incredibly resilient, albeit weak.

And the most absurd thing was that every time Tsunade used the chakra within the Yin Seal, her damaged areas would be repaired again, and the newly cleared paths would revert to their original state, consuming a huge amount of Li Ke's energy and mental strength, directly leading to his defeat.

After all, Li Ke, as an Earthling, had a limit to his stamina, and he couldn't eat indefinitely, so naturally, he was defeated.

There was nothing he could do about it.

"It's all because you're too weak!"

Tsunade naturally wouldn't admit that she activated the Strength of a Hundred Seal in a fit of anger because she didn't want Li Ke to mocking her.

However, she would also never admit to lose against him!

"You just didn't want to lose, right?"

Li Ke retorted again.

"Shut up!"

Tsunade shouted guiltily, then turned her head away, refusing to look at Li Ke, and continued digging into the ground, hoping they could last longer next time.

Li Ke didn't say anything more, but there was a reason he had said that earlier.

"The energy points have increased..."

Looking at his energy points, Li Ke fell silent.

Because when Tsunade had just done it with him, the energy points were no longer 25, but 30 per attempt; Li Ke had noticed this change.

They'd just done it ten times, earning a full three hundred points. Even considering his back and health, that meant Tsunade could return in a few days.

To be precise, beside taking away her first, he also realise that both of them has special feeling.

Although Tsunade's early return was a passive effect, there was no doubt she had developed some subtle feelings for Li Ke.

After all, being taken to the heavens by Li Ke so many times was bound to create some subtle emotions.

Furthermore, she was a traditional woman, making these feelings even more complex.

If Li Ke were in the world of Naruto, if he were a ninja, or even a landowner from the Land of Fire, he could probably find a way to marry Tsunade, right?

Unfortunately, this was a special situation arising from a special context. Even if Li Ke wanted to, Tsunade wouldn't.

"So, should I tell her?"

Li Ke swung his pickaxe, pondering this matter.

Although Tsunade's body was incredibly comfortable and useful, and Li Ke was indeed quite fond of it, it was certain that keeping Tsunade in this world indefinitely was a rather cruel thing to do.

Taking a breath, Li Ke, who had used up a lot of nutrients, felt a little hungry. He looked up at the sky and sighed helplessly.

"Hopefully, next time some casual girls will come."

Rias Gremory might seem casual, but she's only casual with people of value. As for Lux, needless to say, she's a pure little princess; doing *that*, it would probably be hard for her to accept.

"Although it's a bit despicable, but if more girls from Fanservice Anime came, it would be easier for me to level up my skills."

Scratching his head, Li Ke sighed, but then he immediately thought of something.

"Speaking of which, where did those two go?"

Li Ke was still very curious about where the newcomers were.

While he was talking about the newcomers, the two newcomers were also talking about him.

"Damn it…it's not as simple as that person said…"

Rias looked at the dense swarm of zombies before her, their bodies radiating ominous green energy, their eyes glowing yellow. Her beautiful eyes narrowed involuntarily.

She was slightly out of breath, and somewhat helpless. After leaving Li Ke's camp, she had planned to use flight magic to take Lux to explore other places.

Then, she noticed something was wrong.

First, her flight magic was consuming an unusually high amount of energy. And as she took to the air, countless zombie birds kept appearing from nowhere.

These birds relentlessly charged towards their location. Even though she protected herself with a magical shield, the strange birds continued their relentless attack, constantly draining her mana with their attack.

On top of that, her mana was recovering slowly, the relentless drain was increasingly depleting it. After flying only five or six kilometers, they had to stop at the factory beneath them.

Because there were just too many zombie birds! The longer she flew, the more zombie birds appeared. She hadn't paid much attention at first, but by the time she realized something was wrong, they were practically everywhere.

So she was forced to look for a place to land; she wanted to find a relatively safe place to wipe out the zombie birds in the sky.

Moreover, while in the air, she noticed that a cannery building was still operating, so, believing she had exposed Li Ke's lie, she landed with Lux in there.

Then…

Things became incredibly troublesome!

Zombies! Countless zombies!

After she blasted open the door that no one had opened with a fireball, the zombie monsters that Li Ke had described began to appear continuously from the factory. Not only that, these monsters were incredibly ferocious, densely packed with them, leaving no gaps!

"Damn it! What the hell is going on at this Canned Food Factory site?!"

Rias unleashed another fireball, blasting away a large number of zombies and creating a huge crater in the ground.

Her ears heard it clearly! The factory here was still operating!

That meant if anyone was here, they definitely wanted to kill them!

However, Rias, having exhausted too much magic power, couldn't continue flying like before, as that would deplete her last bit of magic. although her strength wasn't low, but no matter how many they kill they keep on coming.

Beside her, Lux, panting heavily, leaned on her wand, watching with fear the monsters that were trampling over the corpses of their companions but still charging towards them.

Looking at these monsters, Lux took a deep breath and spoke to Rias.

"Miss Rias, I can try again."

She had unleashed several powerful flashes of light before, but while each kill killed countless zombies, just like Rias, the zombies emerging from the Canned Food Factory seemed endless! She had barely cleared one passage when more zombies surged out.

Rias nodded. Looking at the densely packed zombies, already piling up like human pyramids, she gritted her teeth and decided to return to Li Ke's camp.

Although it was humiliating, it was better than completely exhausting her magic here!

"Then prepare yourself. We still need to fly for a while, and then fly away from here! If that man is right, these zombies won't chase us anymore once they're far away! Use the flashes of light only when I tell you to!"

She stretched out her hands again, and the barrier and flight spells appeared once more. Lux immediately felt her body become lighter again, but Rias's face paled even more.

Gritting her teeth, Rias blasted a fireball towards the exit, then, taking advantage of the opening created by the blast, she quickly dashed out, soaring into the sky and colliding with the dense swarm of zombie birds.

Without bothering to kill the zombie birds, Rias focused on increasing her speed, rapidly advancing towards Li Ke's direction. When she passed through the flock and looked down at the ground, she, like Lux who had been carried by her, couldn't help but widen her eyes in shock.

Zombies, countless zombies, swarms of zombies were 'pouring' out of the Cannery building!

They were howling madly in her direction, but fortunately, unlike the zombie birds in the sky, these zombies seemed to lose their target after flying a certain distance. They hovered in place for a few moments before returning to the Canned Factory building.

"Thank goodness... otherwise we would have been in real trouble..."

Rias breathed a sigh of relief. Looking at the dense, swarming mass of zombie birds behind her, blotting out the sky, she smiled at Lux.

"Miss Lux, it's up to you now."

"Okay!"

Lux, still unaware of Rias's Devilic nature, nodded, then raised her staff high. A surge of raging light instantly gathered at her chest.

The next moment, the torrent of light pierced through the relentlessly pursuing zombie birds.

"Final Spark!"
