Jax woke slowly.
For a moment, he wasn't sure where he was — only that something felt different.
He was warm.
Heavy.
There was weight draped across him in a way he wasn't used to.
One arm was pinned beneath Bunny, her breath soft and even against his shoulder. The other rested beneath Llandra, her fingers loosely curled as if afraid to let go even in sleep.
Across his chest lay Zee and Nyxian, their warmth pressed close from either side, hair spilled like dark silk across his skin.
Sunlight filtered in through the tall windows.
Late-morning, he guessed.
And then the memories hit him all at once.
The laughter.
The closeness.
The raw moments that passionately stretched long into the night.
They had gone to bed one way — uncertain, nervous, untouched.
They would wake up as something else entirely.
Jax lay still for a long moment, listening to their breathing, letting the reality settle.
Then a new thought surfaced.
I want to do something for them.
Carefully — painfully carefully — he began to move.
Every shift was calculated, slow as a surgeon's hands. He freed one arm, then the other, easing himself inch by inch from beneath the tangle of limbs and warmth.
Nyxian stirred slightly, her hand tightening reflexively before relaxing again. Though appreciative of where her hand was, it was a part of his body he intended to keep with him.
Jax froze.
Then, when she didn't wake, he continued.
At last, he stood.
When he exited the bedroom he saw the rest of the Suite.
The living room looked like a battlefield.
Clothes, cushions, overturned furniture — signs of a night that had left nothing untouched.
He dressed quietly and used a tele-stone to contact the lobby, then one of the restaurants he partially owned. Even without modern technology, the world had its conveniences.
He made arrangements.
Breakfast.
Flowers.
Delivered discreetly.
An hour later, everything had arrived — omelets, fruit, pancakes, warm bread, juices, and coffee. He cleaned what he could, arranged flowers on the table, and plated everything with care.
It wasn't enough.
Nothing could ever fully measure up to what they had given him.
But it was something.
He was placing the final flower when the bedroom door opened.
Nyxian and Llandra stepped out together.
They were wearing his shirts — and nothing else.
Nyxian arched a brow. "I was worried you were a hit-and-run after last night."
Jax smiled softly. "I wanted to say thank you."
Their eyes fell on the table.
Llandra reached him first, hesitation flickering across her face — then gone as he drew her into an embrace.
"Good morning, Beautiful," he murmured, kissing her gently.
Nyxian followed with far less restraint, pressing close and smiling in a way that made his pulse quicken.
"Good morning, my beloved." She playfully squeezed his butt before sitting at one of the seats.
Bunny and Zee emerged next, moving carefully, wrapped in his shirts, hair tousled, smiles sleepy and content.
Each greeted him in their own way — a kiss, a touch, a quiet moment held just a second longer than necessary.
They ate together.
Laughter came easily.
Eventually, Llandra frowned at her system screen.
"…Have you checked your notifications?"
Zee blinked. "I muted mine."
"We all did," Bunny added.
Llandra swallowed.
Her screen glowed.
iPOINTS LEVEL 3
TOTAL iPOINTS GAINED: 1069
Stat Points Available: 106
New Skill Slots Available: 5
New Upgrade Skills Available: 8
The table went very quiet.
Llandra's voice trembled.
"Uh… everyone?" she said quietly. "I think you should all look at your systems. It looks like unique experiences stacked… and stacked hard."
They did.
And the room exploded.
"The system counted everything."
"What?!"
"Legendary skill?!"
"That's not real—this can't be real!"
"Oh my goddess, I can reallocate everything!"
Zee nearly dropped her mug. "I can push my Intelligence and Mana Control into the thirties!"
Bunny was half-laughing, half-bouncing on her heels. "I have more stat points than I've ever had in my life!"
Nyxian stared at her screen, eyes glowing with dangerous delight."Upgrade skills… legendary unlock… oh, I like this system."
Jax smiled at their excitement.
He slowly opened his own status screen.
His smile faded.
LEVEL: 1
Experience Points: 1,000,000+
Unspent Skill Upgrades: 32Unspent Legendary Kill Upgrades: 20
"Well that is nice," Jax thought looking at his options to upgrade his Shadow Powers.
But still Level 1 experience. No advancement. He had thought since he killed the dragon and had tons of experience points to level up, that maybe he was being forced to level up through iPoints. But even that hadn't worked.
"…That's odd," he murmured.
Nyxian looked at her system. "What is Shadow Summoning?"
Jax looked at her in astonishment. "Do you have that skill too?"
"It says I have an option to choose that. Do you know what that is?"
Jax nodded. "I have that as well. I was able to capture the dragon and make a Shadow Copy of the original. It kept its power. Its will. Its instincts. I think that is a very power tool to have and to grow."
Nyxian looked at Jax, "So, you going to give me some private lessons," she asked in a very flirtatious manner.
Jax smiled and just nodded. "Of course."
Llandra, overhearing their conversation. "Did you say that you can summon that S Ranked Dragon as a Shadow Beast?"
"I can. Yes."
The girls froze.
Llandra leaned closer. "That's not possible. You would need God Type mana reserves and be at over level 150. What level are you?"
Embarrassed, Jax states that he is just at level ONE.
Zee frowned. "But your skills are amazing."
Bunny followed. "And your strength must be off the charts to defeat the dragon with punch."
"And after last night, we know your endurance and recovery health is unmatched," Nyxian added.
"So how are you still only a level ONE?"
Silence settled as the implication sank in.
Nyxian tilted her head, studying him — not teasing now, not flirting.
Thinking.
Then she looked up.
"Can we see your stats and System Screen?"
The room went still.
Jax blinked. "Can we see each other's screens?"
"If the user allows it," Nyxian replied. "And we are your future wives after all."
Llandra's expression sharpened. "Would you allow us to do that?"
Jax hesitated.
Then he shrugged. He didn't see why not. He didn't care. Especially with them.
They gathered around behind him to view his System.
He really is a level ONE.
But then they saw his stat points.
Strength: 999+
Speed: 999+
Agility: 999+
Accuracy: 999+
Perception: 999+
Endurance: 999+
Intelligence: 999+
Mana Control: 999+
Luck: 999+
Charisma: 99+ ***
Beauty: 50+ ***
Zee whispering "These numbers shouldn't exist."
Llandra realizing "This system wasn't designed for someone like you."
Zee swallowed. "That's why you don't level."
Bunny's ears drooped slightly. "Because… you're already maxed out?"
Jax exhaled slowly. He hadn't really paid attention to his system, except when it notified him of a change or new skill option to learn.
"I think," he said, "my system doesn't measure growth the way this world expects."
Nyxian smiled. She was reading the last two stats with the *** warning.
Upgrades available, capped at mortal levels. Choosing to increase these stats runs the risk of overwhelming mortals. Dangers include mass hypnosis and uncontrollable lust.
"Wonder if you purposefully increased those on us last night." She touched his shoulder. "If you did, I really don't mind."
Jax looked at her. Now curious if somehow he did. He'd like to think he didn't have to influence them that way, but he can't say he didn't subconsciously.
She leaned forward, elbows on the table, eyes burning with excitement.
"I feel like nothing is impossible for you."
Llandra straightened. "And being with you, I feel like there is nothing we can't accomplish."
"We can do anything," Bunny added softly.
Jax stared at his screen again.
"Well, except getting Jax past level one," Nyxian added teasingly at Jax's expense.
"Don't worry," Zee said. "We will protect you."
All of their smiles widened.
