Krunos have a special tradition. After a respected figure like a family member days they mourn for forty days anot stay silent. They don't say even a word, they become mutes to show their respect.
Late Queen was like a mother to everyone of them so there was an absolute silent for days in these snowy, bitter lands.
Kasren was eating his breakfast. Dry bread, some vegetables, a little bit of cheese and a hot drink which made from some bitter fruits. In this land there are only two things which are fancy. Old castle and their cemetery.
Kasren never blamed his luck, mother, folk. He never felt discouraged, even after exiled from the capital with his mother. He only thought, thought and thought from the moment he started to understand his situation.
He exiled with his mother because his mother lost the power struggle against the other spouses of the king. He suddenly came his mother's land and felt the bitter cold. His maternal family also weakened by other nobles for decades. He was like a slave who waits to die inside of this castle as a cage for him.
But there was something nobody knows about this place, everybody in this cursed kingdom forgot here and thought like a doomed place. However late queen thought differently. She had to protect her son so she used every mean to create people and organizations around him. People loyal to the bond, people who has revenge desires inside of their heart because of abandonment. Their ancestors fought alongside with the people of this kingdom but now they can't even feed themselves properly.
When Kasren lost in thoughts while eating a woman appeared out of nowhere. She was Yyuer, the only person who can come his side without notice. A blind beautiful girl who has black clothes all over her body. She bowed her head and gave him a letter. Kasren started to read it and suddenly his emotions changed. There was an envoy coming from the capital to offer condolences for the late gueen with the banner of the king and house Sitra.
He looked at Yyuer and said prepare everything with a cold face. He broke the mourn oath which Yyuer didn't surprised at all. She nod her head and left the room.
He felt boiled anger inside of his heart for a moment but remembered his mother's last advice.
King sent an envoy of people who poisoned his mother to offer condolences. He smiled to this situation suddenly and laughed to it from inside.
He walked to the mirror and looked at the Kruno Flag. He slightly turned his eyes to the other flag which should be on the higher place. Its now burnt and threw to the ground.
There is no place in this snowy land for other's flag, power or authority anymore.
