The Faculty Room
"Michikatsu-kun! Tough day, isn't it? I saw what happened in the cafeteria!"
Nemuri Kayama—the R-Rated Hero, Midnight—laughed and patted Michikatsu‘s shoulder as he sat drinking tea.
"...It is of no consequence. Bakugo has no chance of defeating them."
"You really trust your girls, don't you? Is it because they're your fiancée and sister?"
"It is not a matter of sentimentality. It is a conclusion reached through objective judgment. They are stronger than most Pro Heroes or Villains. I did not train them to be weak."
Michikatsu spoke dryly while grinding ink against a stone. He dipped a brush into the liquid and began grading papers, filling out documents in his archaic, meticulous script.
Midnight watched him, fascinated by his outdated habits. Since she hadn't personally witnessed the extent of Himiko and Momo‘s combat capabilities, she assumed Michikatsu‘s confidence was just a byproduct of brotherly and romantic affection.
"Well... if you‘re that sure, I suppose we‘ll see it for ourselves during today‘s combat training."
"Indeed. It would be beneficial for everyone to see the difference for themselves."
"You really talk like they're in a league of their own. They're just kids at the starting line, Michikatsu."
"Then... how do you explain me?"
Midnight was momentarily speechless. Michikatsu, at sixteen, was already a direct Commission operative and a faculty member. He was living proof that age did not necessarily dictate one's "starting line."
"Anyway, Michikatsu-kun... please, can't you just use a ballpoint pen or a pencil like a normal person?"
"This is a proper writing implement."
She sighed at him, watching the brush strokes on the government documents.
"Oh, right. A letter came for you, Michikatsu-kun."
Midnight handed him a high-quality, antique envelope. When Michikatsu saw the sender‘s name, all six of his eyes widened in unison.
[Sender: Kagaya Ubuyashiki]
Kagaya Ubuyashiki. In Demon Slayer, he was the 97th leader of the Demon Slayer Corps, a private organization dedicated to eradicating demons. The Ubuyashiki bloodline shared an ancestor with Muzan Kibutsuji, and because they had produced a progenitor of evil, the family was cursed to die before the age of thirty. Only by marrying women of priestly blood could they extend their lives, but the curse would never truly lift until Muzan was destroyed.
In the original story, the 97th head, Kagaya, died in a suicide bombing to weaken Muzan. The curse was finally broken during the tenure of his son, Kiriya, after the Demon Progenitor was finally slain.
The heads of the Ubuyashiki family were known for their foresight and their "1/f fluctuation" voice, which possessed a natural ability to soothe those around them.
But why...? A person who shouldn't exist in the world of My Hero Academia had sent him a letter. Michikatsu carefully broke the seal and read the contents.
[I would very much like to meet and speak with you. I would be honored if you would pay us a visit. / Sincerely, Kagaya Ubuyashiki of Kimetsu Village.]
...Kimetsu Village? Is there another reincarnated soul besides myself? I must investigate this as soon as possible.
He tucked the letter into the folds of his garment.
"What is it, Michikatsu-kun? A love letter?"
"It is a message from an old acquaintance. He has invited me for a conversation."
"Psh! Boring. But why a letter? Why not a text?"
"Because to use such impersonal means would be a breach of etiquette toward him, Kayama."
"Whoa... you really are an old man at heart, Michikatsu-kun!"
"......Is that so......."
Michikatsu felt a small, silent sting to his pride.

Heroics Basic Training
"I am!!! Coming through the door like a normal person!!"
All Might burst into the room in his Silver Age costume. The students cheered, overwhelmed with the presence of the Number One Hero, the Symbol of Peace. Some, however, were distracted by the fact that All Might‘s visual style looked like a completely different genre of art.
"The lesson for today‘s Heroics Basic Training is this!"
All Might held up a card. It was simple:
[COMBAT TRAINING]
Anticipation and anxiety flickered through the room in equal measure.
"And for this combat training, you‘ll be using these!"
All Might pressed a button, and the wall slid open to reveal suitcases containing their costumes.
"The designs you submitted based on your Quirk registrations! Heroes need to be flashy as well as powerful! Your identity is represented by your costume! Change and assemble at Ground Beta!"
"""YES, SIR!!!"""
The students grabbed their respective cases and sprinted toward the locker rooms.
"Whoa... Yaomomo... is that costume okay? There‘s a lot of... exposure."
"My Quirk, Creation, requires me to manifest objects through my skin. I have to leave room for the process to occur; it's a matter of practicality," Momo explained calmly.
"Himiko, you‘re wearing a kimono? It‘s so elegant! Very traditional!"
"Hehe... it was designed to match the one Michikatsu gave me as a gift! (///////)"
In the girls' locker room, the conversation flowed freely as they examined each other‘s costumes.
"I still can't believe Mr. Tsugikuni is Himiko‘s brother... and Momo-chan‘s fiancé."
"Sorry, everyone! We got asked so many questions we just let it slip!" Mina apologized, pressing her hands together.
"Don't worry about it, Mina-san," Momo said with a gentle smile. "It isn't a secret we intended to hide forever."
"Still, once people find out, there'll be talk about favoritism or 'elites' sticking together, ribbit..." Tsu noted logically.
Himiko hugged Tsu and chirped, "Michikatsu is very strict about professional boundaries! And we don't care about those kinds of stares. We‘ve lived through much worse—a little gossip is nothing."
To Himiko, who had once been branded a monster and abandoned by her family to rot in the gutters, the idea of being looked down on for "privilege" was laughable.
"And I‘ve been the subject of rumors since birth because of my family name," Momo added dismissively. "That kind of scrutiny is nothing new to me."
"You guys are really tough," Jiro muttered. All the girls nodded in agreement.
"Appearances are important, young men and women! Realize it now! From today, you are Heroes!" All Might boomed.
The exercise was "Villains vs. Heroes," a 2v2 indoor battle where the Villain team guarded a mock nuclear weapon and the Hero team had to either capture them or secure the bomb. Pure American-style training.
The teams were decided by lottery, and the pairing was—
Villain Team: Izuku Midoriya & Katsuki Bakugo
Hero Team: Momo Yaoyorozu & Himiko Tsugikuni
Of all the possible matchups, fate had delivered this one.
Momo and Himiko shared a predatory smile. They finally had the chance to instill some "manners" into the arrogant boy who had spoken so rudely to their Husband. The other students found their smiles a bit chilling. Before the Villain team could enter the building to set up, Momo called out to them.
"Bakugo-san."
"Hah? What is it, Ponytail?"
"We shall be your opponents. However... we shall not be using our full strength. We won't even use our Quirks. We shall face you with nothing but our Breathing Styles."
"HUH?! Are you looking down on me, you bitch?!" Bakugo roared, his rage igniting instantly.
"Why would we use our full power against someone who believes his own mediocre talent is the pinnacle of the world? Hehe... how pitiful."
At her mocking smile, Bakugo‘s voice dropped to a low, feral growl.
"I‘m going to kill you, Ponytail..."
"I would like to see you try."
