A week later, Tenrou Island...
Laxus and Zorn were already waiting at the designated location on Tenrou Island for Erza and Mirajane to arrive...
The Fairy Tail ship, currently heading their way, was sailing on the sea, filled with Guild Members, with camping equipment and various supplies from the last examination placed nearby.
"Natsu, are you okay?" Happy stood by, looking at Natsu with a worried expression.
Natsu, his face pale, lay on the ground, enduring the dizzying sensation, desperately trying to suppress the surging urge to vomit. His cheeks puffed out as he covered his mouth with his hand. As a large wave hit, the ship rocked more violently, and Natsu could no longer hold it in, running directly to the railing and throwing up.
Seeing this, Gray burst into laughter, mocking Natsu. He also tried to take a picture with his camera, but Natsu caught him out of the corner of his eye. Enduring the discomfort, the two started running and brawling on the ship again.
Erza and Mirajane, however, stood directly at the bow, gazing solemnly towards Tenrou Island in the distance, lost in thought. Makarov, the Master, sat on a wooden barrel, leisurely sipping wine.
"Everyone, look, Tenrou Island!" Wakaba shouted as he saw Tenrou Island appear before them, drawing Everyone's attention to it.
"Yosh, full speed ahead, charge!" The helmsman became excited and drove the ship with all his might. The speed immediately increased by another level, rapidly advancing forward. Natsu, who was still running and chasing, immediately stopped, covered his mouth with both hands, and ran to the railing to vomit again.
Gray took the opportunity to quickly snap a few photos, chuckling as he enjoyed Natsu's embarrassing pictures.
The ship slowly came to a halt. Makarov stood on the wine barrel, raising one hand to signal Everyone to be quiet and holding a whistle in the other. Everyone listened attentively for the Master's announcement. Mirajane and Erza stood on either side of the bow, their gazes fixed on the two distinct paths on the island.
"Ready, now, the Examination begins." After Makarov finished his announcement, he blew the whistle. As the sound rang out, Erza and Mirajane pushed off with force, soaring rapidly into the air. Mirajane went directly to the left, and Erza flew directly to the right.
Zorn and Laxus, using their powerful Observation Haki, sensed who was coming towards them and prepared themselves. Zorn directly conjured a light sword in his hand, and Laxus's body crackled with lightning. Both of them looked seriously at the end of the path before them.
"Master, then us..." Cana walked to the Master's side, reminding Makarov, who was still gazing into the depths of the island. Makarov came back to his senses, raised his hand directly, faced the Guild Members, and said excitedly:
"Yosh, as planned, let's have a feast!"
"Oh~" The Guild Members cheered, happily moving materials and other items to the coast, gathering firewood, setting up pots, pitching tents, and cutting ingredients. Everyone was bustling with activity.
"Cana, move aside, I'm just going to watch near the examination site, I'm not doing anything." Natsu jumped and clamored for Cana, who was blocking him, to move. He had originally planned to sneak to the battle scene to observe while Everyone else was busy. He was just about to run into the forest when Cana stopped him.
"No way, Zorn specifically told me to watch you, worried you'd sneak off. And sure enough." Cana put one hand on her hip and spread the other helplessly, her expression a mix of helplessness and determination.
"Then I'll challenge you first, then go find them." Natsu stood firm, flames erupting from his right hand, his eyes equally determined and excited as he looked at Cana. Perfect, he wanted to see what level Cana had reached after following Zorn for the past year or two.
Dragon Slayer Magic - Fire Dragon's Iron Fist! Natsu's hands met, and a magic circle flashed. Flames slowly gathered in his right hand, and the accompanying high temperature ignited the air. Clearly, this attack was powerful. Cana, however, watched Natsu with interest, showing no concern, and extended a hand to stop the Guild Member who tried to step forward.
Natsu stomped his right foot forcefully, instantly exerting power and dashing forward. A large crater instantly formed on the ground as his right hand, wreathed in flames, attacked Cana.
Cana also praised Natsu, noting that he had indeed become much stronger. Without hurrying, she stomped her right foot, which had gathered terrifying magic power, forcefully onto the ground before her. A massive force struck the ground. Under Cana's control, the ground instantly split, and a huge, thick, magic-infused stone slab stood before Cana.
Natsu's fist struck the stone slab, and the man and the slab were at a stalemate for a moment. Still, under Natsu's attack, cracks spread across the entire slab. "Crack, crack," with that sound, the stone slab shattered.
Natsu maintained his forward punching motion, directly facing Cana. Cana, however, directly raised her right hand and grasped the still-flaming fist. With a forceful turn, she flung Natsu into the air.
"What?! She's that strong!" Natsu was still surprised in the air that Cana had ended the battle so easily, not noticing that he was flying directly towards where the Master was drinking. Makarov sensed something and looked up. Just as Natsu was about to crash, he instantly grew massive, catching Natsu in his palm.
After Cana flung Natsu away, her left foot stomped to the left, and a ground crack instantly shot into the depths of the forest. Trees fell one after another, kicking up thick clouds of dust.
"And you, Gray, you can't go any further. Come back with me." Cana turned and gently persuaded Gray, who was still cautiously advancing and now dumbfounded.
"Hi, okay, I understand." Gray, still in his dazed posture after hearing her, mechanically turned, his limbs stiff, and walked step by step towards the campsite.
"Sigh."
Seeing this, Cana sighed helplessly, patted the dust off herself, and, pulling the equally shocked female Guild Member, returned to the campsite. She didn't want to use violence, but it seemed to be the only effective way to stop Natsu and Gray.
Erza and Mirajane also happened to stop attacking the magical beasts at this moment, simultaneously turning their heads with puzzled expressions towards the direction of the fighting sounds behind them. After seeing Natsu being flung into the sky, they roughly understood what had happened and no longer paid attention, focusing on clearing the path to the examinees.
Looking down from the sky, the two's Forward speed was equally fast. Facing the magical beasts, they dispatched them with one punch or one slash. The magical beasts' heads were swollen, and they had directly fainted. Clearly, neither of them had killed them. This level of test was easy for them to handle.
To be continued.
