Chapter 15 - Chapter 15: The Triumphant Return

The EN server's spawn point was a marvel of collective effort—a bustling hub of buildings, farms, and infrastructure that had grown organically over months of streams and collaboration. Nether portals hummed with their characteristic drone, farms stretched across the landscape in neat grids, and paths connected the various structures like veins in a living organism. It was home, and right now, it was busy.

In one section of the gaming room, three members of Hololive Council had just emerged from their own adventure. Fauna, Mumei, and Kronii stood at the Nether portal, their characters still wearing the golden helmets necessary for safe passage through the hellish dimension. Their inventories were full, their armor was damaged, but they were alive and that was what mattered.

"Phew, we made it..." Fauna's gentle voice carried a note of exhaustion. Even her usual serene nature had been tested by their expedition.

Kronii immediately began taking inventory, her organized mind cataloging their haul with precision. "Twenty-three blaze rods, sixteen ender pearls, seventeen obsidian blocks, thirty-seven leather, fifty-seven string, two stacks of iron nuggets..."

"And three fire resistance potions," Mumei added, her character doing a little spin of celebration. "I think we got a good barter with the piglins! They were really generous this time."

"But we're out of gold..." Fauna observed, checking her empty inventory slots where gold ingots had once been. Bartering with piglins required gold, and they'd gone through their entire supply.

"We can always use Kaela's gold farm back in the ID server," Kronii suggested pragmatically.

"Yeah, at least we got what we needed for stuff," Fauna agreed. "We always run out of ender pearls especially. These will help us with the End project."

"We'll probably have to go back and get some gold next week," Mumei mused, already planning their next expedition. "Make it a regular thing, maybe? Weekly Nether runs could be—"

"Wait, girls..." Kronii's voice cut through their planning session. "Is that..."

All three of them had turned their view angles, looking toward the horizon. Something was approaching. Something unusual.

Meanwhile, in another part of the server, Hololive Advent was hard at work on their agricultural empire. Shiori Novella, Koseki Bijou, and the twin-voiced Fuwawa and Mococo (collectively known as FuwaMoco) along with Nerissa Ravencroft were putting the finishing touches on what appeared to be their thirteenth wheat farm.

"Okay, I think that's the last row of wheat," Shiori announced, placing the final seeds with satisfaction. Her character stepped back to admire their work—neat rows of farmland stretched out before them, a golden sea of grain waiting to be harvested.

"Hm? Uh..." Bijou's voice carried a note of confusion. She'd turned her camera angle away from the farm, looking toward the horizon.

"What?" Nerissa asked, still placing water sources to hydrate the farmland.

"Oh..." Bijou's single syllable was loaded with meaning.

"What..." Fuwawa echoed, her curiosity piqued.

"Whoa, bau..." Mococo's voice carried her signature verbal tic, a sound of surprise.

"What is it, bau?" Fuwawa asked her twin.

"Look, bau," Mococo directed, and Fuwawa's character turned to follow her gaze.

"Bau? Whoa, bau..." Fuwawa's response mirrored her sister's surprise perfectly.

"Is that...?" Shiori squinted at her screen, trying to process what she was seeing.

"I think it is..." Nerissa confirmed, her voice filled with wonder.

What they were seeing looked like something out of an epic film. In the distance, approaching at what seemed like slow motion despite being normal game speed, was Hololive Myth. But they weren't just walking back. They were arriving.

Ina rode a black horse, its dark coat gleaming in the Minecraft sun, her character sitting tall in the saddle like some conquering hero. Her usual calm demeanor seemed to radiate even through her pixelated avatar.

Kiara sat atop a brilliant orange horse—the color almost perfectly matching her phoenix theme. The horse wore diamond horse armor that glinted with every step, a gift from Ina that transformed the mount into something truly majestic.

Amelia, ever the practical one, had somehow acquired a camel during their journey. The two-seater mount lumbered forward with its characteristic awkward gait, with Ame controlling from the front seat. Behind her, Gura perched with her trident held high like a banner, the weapon's enchantments causing it to shimmer.

Calli brought up the rear on a white horse—not just any white horse, but one clad in the incredibly rare netherite horse armor. The dark, almost purple-black armor contrasted beautifully with the horse's pale coat, making the ensemble look like something from a high-fantasy raid.

And behind them, marching in formation like some bizarre army, came twenty iron golems. Their massive forms created a thunderous rhythm as they walked, their heads swiveling back and forth in that characteristic golem way. Above each one floated a name tag: Iron Tako 1, Iron Tako 2, Iron Tako 3... all the way to Iron Tako 20.

IRyS had just returned from her fishing expedition, her inventory full of cod, salmon, and the occasional treasure. She approached the Advent group, cheerful and ready to show off her catches. "Hey guys! What's up? I got some cool fishes from the—"

She stopped mid-sentence, following everyone's gaze to the approaching procession.

"What am I looking at?" IRyS asked, her voice a mixture of confusion and awe.

"I think we are seeing a slow-mo bit," Shiori observed, her tone suggesting she was trying to rationalize what was clearly just five people riding horses and a camel.

"A very dramatic slow-mo bit," Bijou added with an appreciative nod.

In yet another section of the server, Hololive Justice was preparing for their own adventure. Elizabeth Rose Bloodflame, Gigi Murin, and Cecilia Immergreen stood in their armory, equipping themselves with iron armor sets, shields, and bows. Their target: a pillager outpost they'd spotted during an earlier scouting mission.

"Okay, we got armed," Elizabeth announced, adjusting her character's helmet. Even in Minecraft, she managed to project that demonic nobility that made her character so distinctive.

"Yep, all done," Gigi confirmed, testing her bow with a few practice shots at a nearby tree.

"Uh... girls?" Cecilia's voice carried a note of concern, or perhaps disbelief.

"What is it—" Elizabeth turned her view angle and her sentence died. "What the fuck?"

"Is that an army?" Gigi zoomed in with her spyglass. "Of iron golems?"

"I think those are iron golems, yes," Cecilia confirmed, her usual composed demeanor cracking slightly with confusion.

The Myth procession came to a halt at the center of the spawn area. All the other EN members had congregated now, their characters forming a semicircle around the returned explorers. The twenty iron golems stopped their march, standing at attention like soldiers awaiting orders.

"Sup," Gura greeted casually, as if she hadn't just arrived with the most extra entrance in Hololive Minecraft history.

"Why... why do you all look like you came back from a deranged colonial expedition?" Fauna asked, her gentle voice somehow making the observation sound even more pointed.

"That's exactly what it looks like, really," Ame confirmed, dismounting from her camel.

"Yeah, that's pretty much what happened," Kiara added, her character hopping off her orange horse and patting it affectionately.

"We had a conquistador moment," Calli explained with a shrug that somehow translated through her avatar's body language.

"That's... amazing?" Kronii said, though it came out as more of a question than a statement.

Nerissa was still focused on the most visually impressive element. "Why does Ina have so many iron golems? Named 'Iron Tako 1 through 20'?"

"We just survived a large hill siege against a horde of mobs," Ina explained matter-of-factly, as if this was a completely normal occurrence.

"The WHAT?" Multiple voices responded simultaneously.

"Yeah, it happened," Gura confirmed, finally dismounting from the camel's back seat and stretching her avatar.

"Wait, wait," IRyS held up a hand, trying to process everything. "I get that you're all riding horses to make it faster, but why are Ame and Gura riding a camel?"

"It was effective," Ame defended her choice immediately. "It's a two-seater, plus we didn't want Gura to get lost while trying to go back."

"Hey! Rude!" Gura's protest was automatic, though there wasn't much heat behind it.

"You nearly got lost midway while trying to go back home," Calli pointed out, her tone that of someone who had witnessed this near-disaster firsthand.

"Okay, what EXACTLY happened?" Elizabeth demanded, her curiosity overriding her initial shock. The Justice members had abandoned their pillager raid plans entirely, too invested in this story.

Calli took point on the explanation, her natural storytelling abilities coming to the fore. "Basically, Gura thought it was a great idea to do a long expedition to find some loot."

"Which was fine for quite some time!" Kiara interjected, defending the early parts of their journey. "It was scenic even! We spotted a mushroom island!"

"Yeah, we also passed by a scenic waterfall too," Ina added, her voice carrying that wistful quality that suggested she'd probably taken screenshots.

"But then we stumbled into a thick forest," Ame continued the narrative, her detective's mind organizing the events chronologically.

"And stumbled upon creeper spawners in a cave. A CAVE," Calli emphasized, still somewhat traumatized by the discovery.

"And it was night, so more mobs came in," Kiara's voice rose slightly, the memory of the panic still fresh.

"So many skeletons, zombies, and spiders," Gura listed, counting on her fingers despite her hands not being visible.

"And we got aerial attacks by phantoms," Ina added, her calm tone somehow making the situation sound even more dire.

"So we had to survive the whole night on top of a hill," Calli concluded.

"Like the Battle of Helm's Deep?" Mumei asked, the Lord of the Rings reference coming naturally to her.

"Yeah, but with a dirt castle," Ame confirmed, and the absurdity of that statement hung in the air for a moment.

"Basically, we just... had a heavy siege at night," Kiara summarized, probably understating the chaos they'd endured.

"And we luckily found treasure with the help of my philosophical wisdom!" Gura announced proudly, puffing out her chest.

There was a pause. Several EN members exchanged glances, even through their avatars.

"What does that mean?" Fauna asked carefully, sensing there was a story behind this claim.

"You don't want to know," Calli said quickly, perhaps too quickly. "Well, you will after the stream..."

Bijou wasn't ready to let the iron golem question go. "But we are still questioning how Ina had so many iron golems. Named, too, mind you."

"I got them from one of Kaela's storage warehouses," Ina explained, as if this was obvious. "She has a lot of iron blocks and name tags for some reason."

"Of course..." Kronii nodded slowly. "That makes sense."

"And we brought gifts!" Gura announced suddenly, her character accessing her inventory with a flourish.

The Myth members began laying out their loot, placing items on the ground for everyone to see. The response was immediate and enthusiastic.

"Is that DIAMONDS?!" Shiori's voice cracked slightly with excitement.

"A whole stack of gold!" Nerissa was already calculating what they could craft with that much gold.

"Emeralds!" Mococo and Fuwawa spoke in unison, their twin telepathy making them react identically.

"The enchanted books... so many..." Elizabeth was examining them, her strategic mind already planning which items to enchant.

"You also got Heart of the Sea?" IRyS's eyes widened. "We can make an underwater city!"

"That's what I was thinking!" Gura bounced excitedly, already envisioning the build possibilities.

Fauna surveyed the assembled group, the treasure pile, and the twenty iron golems standing guard. A decision crystallized in her mind, and she turned to address everyone. "Okay, you know what? You girls deserve it." She turned to the others, her voice taking on an authoritative tone that belied her usual gentle nature. "Alright, girls, drop everything you were planning to do. Let's throw a party for our expedition group!"

"YEAH!" The response was unanimous and enthusiastic.

Kiara's KFP (Kiara Fried Phoenix) building had been transformed. The restaurant-themed structure, normally used for casual hangouts and the occasional roleplay stream, now bustled with activity. Every EN member had gathered, their characters filling the space with color and motion.

The menu was simple but perfect: chicken. Lots and lots of chicken. Kiara's farms had been raided (with permission), and now the ovens worked overtime, cooking stacks upon stacks of the golden-brown poultry. The smell, if Minecraft had smell, would have been incredible.

"To Myth's expedition!" Kronii raised a cooked chicken like a champagne glass.

"To somehow surviving Gura's terrible ideas!" Calli added with a grin, earning a playful punch from Gura.

"To the Iron Takos!" Ina declared, and everyone turned to look outside where the twenty iron golems stood in formation around Ina's house. She'd placed them strategically, creating a defensive perimeter that looked both impressive and slightly ominous. Each golem stood at attention, their names floating above them like military ranks.

"Ina, are you building an army?" Elizabeth asked, only half-joking.

"I'm building a DEFENSE," Ina corrected with a mysterious smile. "The Iron Takos will protect us all."

"Iron Tako 7 is my favorite," Mumei announced randomly.

"Why Iron Tako 7 specifically?" Fauna asked.

"He has kind eyes," Mumei explained, which made no sense since all iron golems had the same face, but somehow everyone understood exactly what she meant.

Gigi had pulled up a map on her secondary monitor, tracing the route Myth had taken. "So you guys traveled 30,000 blocks? That's insane!"

"30,127 blocks to be exact," Ame corrected, her detective's precision showing. "Chat was very helpful in providing coordinates."

"And you walked all the way back?" Cecilia's disbelief was evident.

"Well, we rode horses and a camel for most of it," Kiara clarified. "But yes, the whole way."

"That's dedication," Nerissa said admiringly.

"That's stupidity," Calli corrected, but she was smiling.

"That's ADVENTURE!" Gura declared, striking a pose with her trident.

The party continued, stories flowing as freely as the virtual chicken. Council shared tales of their Nether expedition, the close calls with piglins and the terrifying moment when they'd almost fallen into lava. Advent talked about their farming empire and their plans to become the server's primary food supplier. Justice discussed their pillager raid plans, which had been postponed but not forgotten.

"We should do a server-wide expedition sometime," Shiori suggested, the idea taking root. "Like, everyone together. See how far we can get."

"That would be chaos," IRyS laughed.

"That would be AMAZING," Bijou corrected.

"We'd need so many resources," Fauna calculated, her mind already planning logistics.

"Kaela's storage has us covered," Ina said confidently, and no one could argue with that logic.

Outside the KFP building, the sun was beginning to set on the Minecraft server. The iron golems stood their eternal vigil, the farms continued their automated processes, and the Nether portal hummed its constant tone. The EN server was alive, vibrant, and full of stories.

Inside, surrounded by friends and chicken, Myth basked in the warmth of their triumph. They'd ventured out into the unknown, survived impossible odds, and returned with treasure and tales. Gura's "philosophical wisdom" had been mocked, laughed about, and was probably already being clipped for Twitter, but somehow it had worked.

"You know," Kiara said thoughtfully, munching on her character's umpteenth piece of chicken, "we should name our dirt fortress. Make it official."

"The Siege of Dirt Castle," Ame suggested immediately.

"Fort Myth," Gura countered.

"Helm's Dirt," Mumei offered, getting laughs.

"How about 'Never Again Hills'?" Calli proposed dryly.

"'Gura's Folly,'" Ina said with a perfectly straight tone.

"RUDE!" Gura protested, but she was laughing too.

They never did agree on a name, but it didn't matter. The fortress—whatever it was called—stood 30,000 blocks away, a testament to their survival and teamwork. Maybe they'd return to it someday, build it up into something impressive. Or maybe they'd leave it as a monument to chaos, a dirt-and-stone memorial to a night of siege and survival.

For now, though, they had chicken, friends, and twenty iron golems named after takos.

In the world of Hololive EN, that was more than enough.

"Same time next week?" Gura asked hopefully.

"Absolutely not," everyone replied in unison.

But they were smiling as they said it, and everyone knew that when Gura inevitably suggested another expedition, they'd all say yes.

Because that was what Hololive was about—terrible ideas, incredible adventures, and friends who'd follow you into a mob siege with nothing but dirt blocks and determination.

"To Myth!" Fauna raised another chicken.

"To EN!" Kronii added.

"To the Iron Takos!" Ina insisted.

"To adventure!" Gura declared.

"To somehow surviving it," Calli concluded.

Their laughter echoed through the KFP building, through the server, and into the hearts of the thousands watching their streams. This was Hololive EN—chaotic, creative, and always, always entertaining.

And somewhere, 30,000 blocks away, a dirt fortress stood on a hill, empty but not forgotten, waiting for the day its creators might return.

The Iron Takos stood guard, the party continued, and the Minecraft world spun on.

It was a good day.

And not a single destruction happened… yet.
