Profile:
Arthur Pendragon is the savior chosen by the Sword of Selection to bring about humanity's salvation from the forces of the profane.
After pulling Excalibur from its resting place as a boy, Arthur traveled across the continent, honing his swordsmanship and obtaining feats while gathering around him the knights that would eventually form the Round Table.
Alongside the Knights of the Round Table and the Wizard of the Lake, Merlin, Arthur waged war against the ones who betrayed Heaven (Dragons, Witches, and Demons) and pushed them into a far-off region of the continent (Camlann: the Worlds End), making enough room for humanity and other friendly species to form kingdoms and for the Knights of the Round Table to found the Pendragon Empire.
After forcing the profane into Camlann, Arthur and his companions would set up a seal to prevent any of the cursed beings from escaping, and would establish an impenetrable fortress known as Camelot to oversee the seal and act as a military post in the unlikely scenario that the Seal were to break.
Arthur would spend about 100 years overseeing the Pendragon Empire and ensuring that it flourishes, but soon realized a problem with the current state of the continent- the fickle and destructive nature of his fellow constellations.
Once again assembling the Knights of the Round Table, Arthur subjugated every constellation under heaven's banner and forced them into a binding oath that would only allow them to exercise their might in the underdeveloped outer edge of the empire, the strip of land bordering Camlann and Camelot.
That land would later be known as the Outland/Battlefield of the Stars.
Arthur would spend another couple of centuries ruling over the Pendragon Empire, but would soon realize that under his rule, the Empire was stagnating.
The Empire was simply too reliant on the Knights of the Round Table and Arthur himself to feel the need to progress.
Becoming more and more aware of this fact, Arthur began searching amongst the populace for possible successors to take over the empire since he had not wedded or sired any children himself, and in this search, he found a boy who shared a trace of his bloodline: Mordred.
After adopting the boy and naming him his successor, Arthur trained his prodigious adopted son to the point where his prowess was not out of place among the knights of the Round Table, and left the empire and the key to Camlann to Mordred while he and the Knights of the Round Table relocated to the fortress of Camelot.
There, Arthur and the knights would mediate in conflicts between the constellations and manage the seal on Camlann, but Disaster would soon strike when the strongest among the cursed beings in Camlann would begin to stage their escape.
The Witch of the Fallen, the Cursed Dragon, and the Firstborn of the Demons began amassing power by slaughtering and absorbing their own kind, evolving to the point where they could damage the seal Arthur and the Knights had put in place and let small vessels of their power run rampant throughout the world.
Those vessels of the profane would wreak utter havoc, and Arthur and the knights soon found themselves spread thin, unable to contain the chaos fully-
And unfortunately, a vessel of the Witch of the Fallen would soon make its way to the Pendragon Empire, where a Mordred, already slightly resentful of being abandoned by his adopted father and the Knights of the Round Table, would be forcibly corrupted into a twisted mess of jealousy and anger.
Arthur and the Knights eventually managed to round up what they thought was the entirety of the profane vessels and strengthened the seal on Camlann after shoving them back inside.
Soon, though, Mordred, corrupted by the Witch of the Fallen's power, would make his way over to Camelot and ambush Arthur and the Knights- shattering the Round Table with a swing of his sword and opening the improved seal on Camlann- allowing the forces of the profane to bleed back out into the realm.
Arthur, seeing this, would engage in a final battle against the forces of the profane and his adopted son.
Unfortunately, Arthur would soon realize that faced with such odds, it would be impossible for him to triumph- and thus, he would exert every ounce of power he possessed to drag the profane and his adopted son back into Camlann before severing it from the rest of the world with the help of Merlin and Excalibur.
In the disconnected land of the abyss, Arthur would battle the profane to the bitter end, slaying the dragon, the witch, and the demon, before ultimately falling to his adopted son Mordred, who, upon inflicting the final blow on his father, would regain his sanity and kill himself shortly after.
Class Skills:
- Magic Resistance (EX): As a transcendent swordsman and the one blessed by the Sword of Selection, Arthur is naturally resistant to the supernatural.
Only magecraft of the EX rank could have any hope of harming him.
- Riding (D): Arthur had some skill with horses as a youth, but quickly found steeds unable to keep up with his prowess as he grew older- thus his skills with a steed are rather lacking in comparison to others of his class.
Personal Skills(At Full Power):
- Sword of Salvation (E -> A+): To ascend to the realm of a Swordmaster, a swordsman must imbue a concept/idea into their swordsmanship- and as the one destined to be a hero, every swing of Arthur's sword brings about salvation to all.
Arthur's swordsmanship is at its most powerful when it is swung to protect someone else, and it is further empowered in direct proportion to the amount of danger he and the person he is protecting are in.
- Transcendent's realm (A++): A warrior at the apex of the world possesses a will strong enough to overwrite reality.
As a swordsmaster and a constellation standing at the very top of the food chain, Arthur's transcendent will forces reality to adhere to his own imagery- allowing him to dictate the terms upon which he fights.
The effects of this transcendent will can be resisted by those with incredibly strong convictions and nullified by deploying a reality marble.
-Sixth Sense (A ->A++): Having lived for centuries and having fought for a majority of them, Arthur's combat sense has evolved into a supernatural sense that allows him to avoid attacks that would ordinarily be impossible to avoid.
Taken to its extreme, Arthur is capable of dodging attacks that affect causality.
- Fairy Sealing Magic (A): Taught to Arthur by the Fairy Merlin.
The illustrious sealing magic of the fairies is a school of magecraft known for its incredible potency in containing the unholy.
It's a magecraft that is executed through rituals and arrays, normally requiring extensive preparation to carry out.
- Blessed by the Stars (B->EX): Stars are a blessing bestowed upon a being by the heavens as a qualification for ascension after the completion of a singular feat or a collection of feats united under a certain theme.
These stars not only grant unique authorities related to the theme of the prerequisite feat, but also allow the user to access a unique energy called starlight with properties somewhat similar to those of Mana.
Starlight can be used as a replacement for mana if the need were to arise, but it is more often used as the fuel to power the unique authorities stored within the Stars.
Arthur's base stats increase in accordance with his Star Count.
