Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 - The Monster's Rise and The Vow

A lone Royal Knight was racing through the dark streets at full speed.

The horse's hooves slammed against the stones like hammers—

with every step, a sound tore through the air.

A letter was pressed against his chest.

A white envelope.

Sealed with red wax—

Church of Knowledge and Light.

The seal still felt warm.

Not long ago—

inside the Church, that glass sphere had fallen and shattered on the floor.

The Archbishop was staring at it.

Inside the sphere—

was an eye.

Enormous.

Black.

Wrinkled.

Blood was dripping from its eyelids.

The moment his gaze met that eye—

his knees hit the ground.

His breathing went out of control.

His whole body trembled,

as if cold poison was flowing through his veins.

He began stepping backward—

one step…

then another…

then a third…

His face had gone pale.

Then suddenly he straightened up and started walking forward quickly.

Passing through a long corridor, he stopped in front of a door.

The door opened.

Inside was a vast library.

Tall shelves filled with thick books.

The smell of old ink and paper hung in the air.

The Archbishop went straight to a desk.

He picked up a sheet of paper.

His hands were still shaking.

Then he began to write—

"I, the Archbishop of the Church of Knowledge and Light…"

Frederick Sinclair.

The pen scratched across the paper

as he wrote everything that had happened so far.

When he finished,

he folded the letter, placed it into an envelope,

and sealed it with the Church's official stamp.

Then he handed it to that Royal Knight.

"Take this," his voice was clearly shaking.

"To Headquarters. Now."

And now—

that same Royal Knight was tearing through the dark streets.

The horse's breath came out like steam.

The wind struck his face.

Finally, a massive building appeared in the distance—

Royal Knight Headquarters.

He rushed straight inside.

The woman at the reception took one look at his condition and understood.

She stood up

and rang the bell beside her

seven times in a row.

The sound echoed through the entire building.

And with it,

Royal Knights began moving toward the main hall from all directions.

Something big was about to happen.

The main hall of Royal Knight Headquarters filled up.

Royal Knights had arrived from every direction.

Metal armor clashed against metal.

A tense pressure filled the room.

A senior officer stepped forward.

His name was William Windsor.

He opened the Archbishop's letter and began reading.

In just a few lines, his face hardened.

He understood who was behind all of this.

"Order Eye Group…"

he thought.

That faction had been infiltrating the roots of the Empire for a long time.

Their old plan was to remove the King and seize power.

But this was not the time for politics.

He lifted his head and looked at the Royal Knight in black armor standing in front of him—

Alexander Stuart.

"Immediately," he ordered,

"take all Royal Knights currently at Headquarters and go to Blackwood Palace.

Stabilize the situation.

I want a report on everything."

The black-armored Royal Knight turned without a word.

Forty-five Royal Knights followed him.

At that same moment, High Alert was declared in the capital.

Civilians were ordered to stay inside their homes.

Horses, carriages, and foot soldiers—

all began flowing toward Blackwood Palace.

Inside the Domain—

the situation was still slipping out of control.

Two Royal Knights, holding stretched silver threads in their hands,

were circling Roshan—

avoiding his tentacles,

looking for the right moment.

Suddenly—

both of them charged at once.

The silver threads flashed in the air

and sliced Roshan's main body

into two halves.

For a moment, everyone held their breath—

but—

Roshan laughed.

Black vines were now sprouting from his body.

Roots.

Alive.

They were spreading beneath his skin.

The silver thread couldn't cut them.

Narco clenched his teeth.

"Second plan," Narco ordered.

"If we can't cut him, we corner him."

The two Royal Knights tightened their threads and began pulling Roshan.

At the same time, Narco and two Noble Paragons attacked him.

One extended his claws

and began slicing the black vines—

but it had no effect.

The other pulled a staff from his coat.

"Tiny Flame."

Small flames fell onto Roshan.

The vines began to burn—

but he still didn't stop.

Then a Royal Knight stepped forward.

He spread both palms.

"Water Bubble."

A massive sphere of water crashed over Roshan.

Narco's plan was clear—

heat with fire, then cool with water—

to break his structure.

It had some effect.

The silver threads tightened again.

But the black vines were still alive.

Then I saw it—

a zombie was moving toward me.

No Royal Knight was nearby.

And then—

Slash.

Historia's sword struck.

The zombie's head fell to the ground.

"Master," she said calmly,

"there's no need to be afraid."

I understood—

she was no ordinary maid.

She was an AI, a master of every skill.

At that moment, she had become a warrior.

Every movement precise.

Every strike trained.

Even the Royal Knights were stunned by her swordsmanship.

Meanwhile, on Roshan's chest—

the black vines began to gather and fuse.

They were forming the shape of an eye.

A terrifying, pulsating eye.

From it, deep darkness began to spread.

Narco and the Royal Knights froze.

But—

one Royal Knight stepped forward.

He was unconscious,

yet through sheer willpower,

the aura of that eye had no effect on him.

Roshan attacked him.

First strike—dodged.

Second—dodged.

Third—he still kept moving forward.

Then—

he stomped the ground.

And like lightning,

drove his sword into Roshan's chest—

straight through the forming eye.

The eye shattered.

The dark aura vanished.

Roshan screamed.

Blood poured from his mouth.

But—

his tentacles twisted and lunged at the Royal Knight.

Before the Knight could pull his sword out,

two strikes went through his armor.

His chest was ripped open.

He was dead.

Roshan lifted his body into the air.

Then—

the black-armored Royal Knight looked at Narco.

Narco nodded faintly, sadly.

The black-armored Knight snapped his fingers.

The Royal Knight's body—

hanging in Roshan's tentacles—

exploded.

The blast hit Roshan's face.

His skin burned.

He screamed in pain.

Outside the Domain—

the Royal Knight unit from Headquarters had arrived.

Blackwood Palace was now hidden inside two Domains—

Roshan's black hell,

and the Wind Church Paragon's protective Domain.

The clash was about to grow even bigger.

Everyone realized—

Roshan was no longer human.

He had completely broken—

his mind, his soul, his control… everything was shattered.

His body suddenly began to swell.

Bones crackled.

Flesh stretched,

as if some invisible hand were forcing him to grow larger.

Flames flickered beneath his skin—

red and black fire.

Then Roshan absorbed both of them into himself,

as if his body were burning from the inside.

Then—

the Red Moon suddenly flared like the sun.

So bright

that it became impossible to keep the eyes open.

The world turned white.

The zombies were caught in that light—

and began to burn, turning into ash.

There were no screams.

Only smoke.

Cracks formed in the black Domain—

like glass breaking.

In the next moment—

the Domain shattered.

The Red Moon vanished.

The sky became visible again.

All the zombies on the ground were burned away.

No more hands were emerging from the earth.

For a few seconds…

hope appeared.

But—

I felt a strange heaviness.

I looked up.

And there—

above us,

another massive Domain had already formed.

It was different.

More stable.

Colder.

More… dangerous.

Inside it stood dozens of Royal Knights and Paragons—

fully prepared.

They had come to protect the Noble Families.

And then—

everyone's gaze turned to Roshan.

Where a human had once stood,

now there was—

an 18-foot-tall, red-skinned monster,

with only one eye and a body of flesh.

Steam poured from his breath.

His eye was burning.

The word fear was not enough.

At that moment—

in one corner of the Domain,

a black hole opened.

It was an exit.

Royal Knights shouted—

"All Noble Families!

Evacuate immediately!"

They moved forward as shields.

One by one,

the families began entering the black hole.

I turned back.

Roshan—

that monster—

was staring at us.

And I knew—

this wasn't over.

This…

was only the beginning of the real war.

The Royal Knights were evacuating us quickly.

Then—

Roshan kicked the massive marble statue of Rowan the First.

The entire statue creaked and tilted.

Seeing this, Rowan Blackwood stepped forward.

That statue had been built in memory of his father.

Rage burned in his eyes.

He came out from behind a Royal Knight, reached into his tuxedo pocket—

and pulled out a card.

"Purification."

His voice was cold.

The card shattered into fragments of light in his hand.

In the next moment—

the sky split open.

A sharp beam of light pierced the Domain and struck Roshan directly.

His body began to burn.

Not fire—

something else.

As if his very existence were dissolving.

For the first time, Roshan stopped.

His knees hit the ground.

Above, the Domain was damaged by the light but began to rotate and repair itself,

and within a few seconds, it was completely restored.

At that moment, the Royal Knights had already taken us outside the Domain.

But the Domain's doorway had not yet closed.

On the road, lines of carriages were waiting—

Noble Families were being sent home.

Then my eyes went to a clock tower there.

On its top—

a man was standing.

White tuxedo.

A mischievous smile on his face.

He was watching us.

Then he turned

and began walking down the stairs.

As I sat in the carriage, I remembered everything that had happened inside.

Roshan.

Royal Knights.

The Domain.

The power of Paragons.

My fist clenched on its own.

I wanted power too.

Power so great that no one could stand against me.

Then I saw—

that same man had come down.

Without stopping…

he walked toward the open hole in the Domain

and went inside.

No Royal Knight stopped him.

No one blocked his path.

A cold wave ran through me.

He was probably a Paragon too.

The carriage started moving.

The palace began to fall behind.

In another carriage, Rose Desk was sitting with her lips pressed tightly.

Narco was still inside that Domain, fighting Roshan.

Moon had her eyes closed, praying.

And I was sitting here, wondering what was happening inside.
