Shuu looked around the Emperor's room with a lazy sigh.
He knew that it was time for him to get up and head out, but he did not want to get up.
The kids were still sleeping around him, and Shuu pushed his body back on the bed to be beside them and relax. And he would have stayed like this the whole day, had the knock at the door not interrupted him.
Since Emperor Kaiden was not in the room, Shuu debated whether he should open the door or not. But in the end, he decided to open it because it sounded urgent.
Knock
Emperor Kaiden's chambers were huge, and they even had a dedicated guest area before the bedroom. It took some time for Shuu to cross it all and get to the door to open it.
"What do you want?"
He asked a flustered guard standing on the other side of the door.
