Chapter 8 - The group

Subash's severed head didn't stop grinning. Even as it lay in the dirt, it mocked the demon. "Is this all you've got? I was hoping for a 6th Demon Skill, but you're just a disappointment."

To the demon's horror, Subash's body walked over, picked up the head, and slammed it back onto his neck. With a sound of shifting bone and stitching flesh, he was whole again. Karthik manifested on Subash's shoulder, cackling like a maniac, lending his dark mana to Subash's blade.

On the other side of the battlefield, Isha was surrounded. Seeing her in trouble, Isha's sisters joined the fray. They didn't need words; their bond was their strength. Together, the sisters chanted in unison, summoning a massive, swirling [Abyssal Water Wall] to trap the Air Demon.

Isha didn't waste the opportunity. She closed her eyes, drawing in Cosmic Energy from the stars. The water wall, controlled by her sisters, began to crackle and freeze under Isha's absolute zero temperature.

"Foolish monsters," Isha hissed. She moved faster than light, her fist connecting with the frozen barrier, shattering it and the demons inside.

As the remaining demon tried to flee, trembling with fear, Rudra held Isha back. His eyes were dark, reflecting the demon blood he had consumed. "Let him go, Isha. We aren't just killing them anymore. We are building a cage of fear around them. Let him run to his master and tell them that Death is comThe adrenaline from the battle had finally begun to fade, and exhaustion weighed heavily on the group. But just as Rudra and his friends prepared to rest, the rustling of leaves surrounded them. Figures emerged from the shadows—not demons, but men armed with advanced weaponry and mystical artifacts.

Rudra immediately surged forward, his hand crackling with Void energy. "Who goes there? One more step and I'll erase you."

A man in a tactical general's uniform stepped into the moonlight, raising his hands in a gesture of peace. "Peace, Rudra. My name is Vishnu."

"How do you know my name?" Rudra hissed, his eyes narrowed. "Are you with the demons?"

Vishnu smiled calmly. "Hardly. I watched your village fall. I saw the monsters destroy everything you loved. We've been tracking your progress ever since you started fighting back."

"Why should I trust you?" Rudra countered. "Demons are masters of disguise."

General Vishnu didn't argue. He drew a combat knife and made a quick, shallow cut on his finger. Bright, crimson liquid welled up. "Demon blood is as black as their souls, Rudra. Mine is as red as yours. I am human, and I want you to join us."

Seeing the red blood, Rudra finally lowered his guard. Vishnu invited them to their stronghold, and the group traveled under the cover of night to the city of Vijayawada. They climbed the steps of the Kanaka Durga Temple, but they didn't stop at the altar. Behind the hills of the temple, Vishnu pressed a hidden seal against the rock face.

A Portal shimmered into existence, humming with ancient energy. They stepped through and found themselves in a massive, high-tech underground assembly hall.

"Welcome to our headquarters," Vishnu announced. "Our organization is known as the RSS."

As Vishnu introduced Rudra's team to the gathered soldiers, a tall, scarred warrior stepped forward, looking at Rudra with disdain. "These kids? I've been training here for three years, surviving the harshest missions. You're telling me these newcomers are stronger than us?"

The room went silent. Rudra looked the warrior in the eye, his expression cold. "If you doubt it, let's settle it now. A duel."

The warrior roared and lunged, but Rudra didn't even draw his sword. He manipulated the Void, bending the space around the warrior's punch. Before the man could blink, Rudra appeared behind him and delivered a single, calculated strike to a pressure point.

The warrior hit the floor, unable to move. The entire assembly gasped. Rudra stood tall, his presence commanding the room.
