Chapter 16 - 16. THE ARCHITECT ABOVE THE MUD

The dawn on the northern outskirts of Jianghai no longer felt bleak. Although the scent of mud and the remnants of medical waste dumped by the Song family still lingered, a new aroma began to dominate—the scent of wet earth breathing anew. The energy spring Lin Xuan discovered last night now flowed through small trenches dug manually by him and his ten employees. The water was not only crystal clear but emitted a faint bluish glow that felt warm upon touching the skin.

Lin Xuan stood in the middle of the swamp in rubber boots caked in mud. His blistered hands were now wrapped in gauze, yet he did not stop. In front of him, a simple water purification machine assembled from scrap parts and leftover construction metal began to hum.

"Young Master, look at this!" shouted the young engineer, pointing toward a patch of land that had been watered by the spring last night. "The vegetable seeds brought by Miss Seo-Ah... they are growing three times faster than usual. This makes no biological sense."

Lin Xuan wiped the sweat from his forehead with his dirty sleeve. "The universe does not respond to what you desire through daydreaming, but to what you prove through the sacrifice of your body. This spring is the reward for our intention to cleanse this land, not merely to exploit it."

The bustle in the Forbidden Land transformed into an orchestra of hard work. There was no longer a Lin Xuan sitting in a luxury leather chair giving philosophical orders. Now, he was the first person to lift concrete blocks and the last person to put down his hoe.

For his employees, seeing a usually untouchable Lin Xuan eating boxed rice on a pile of bricks while discussing drainage systems created a bond of loyalty far stronger than any monthly salary. They no longer felt they were working for a boss, but rather fighting alongside a leader.

Han Seo-Ah did not stay idle either. She, who usually wore silk gowns, now wore cargo pants and a simple t-shirt. She helped Lin Xuan's mother cook for the workers and joined in planting seeds in the cleared areas.

During a break, Seo-Ah sat beside Lin Xuan who was studying a land map. "Do you miss your grand office in the city center, Xuan? Sometimes I feel guilty seeing you have to get so dirty like this."

Lin Xuan looked at his rough hands, then at the wooden hut they had just repaired. "I used to have everything but I felt like a thief robbing fortune from the future. Now I have nothing, but every nail I drive into this hut feels like an eternal possession of mine. Luxury is an ornament that can be stolen, Seo-Ah, but creation from point zero is a dignity that cannot be snatched away."

However, the tranquility was disturbed by a buzzing sound in the sky. Three drones belonging to the Song Group flew low over their land. From the bellies of the drones, a thick green liquid was sprayed toward the swamp and the newly grown plants. It was high-dose chemical herbicide mixed with corrosive poison.

"They are poisoning our land!" one of the workers screamed in panic.

The plants that were once green began to blacken instantly. A pungent chemical stench filled the air. Song Jin-Ho did not want Lin Xuan to just be poor—il wanted Lin Xuan to lose hope on barren land.

Lin Xuan stood tall. His eyes sharpened. He did not run for cover. Instead, he ran toward the pure energy spring.

"Bring all the buckets! Channel the water to the main canal!" Lin Xuan commanded.

He jumped into the middle of the water channel that had been contaminated by the poison. Lin Xuan closed his eyes, pressing both palms into the water flow. He performed the Purification Resonance technique. In his mind, he did not reject the poison with anger. He instead visualized the poison molecules as stray energy that needed its frequency realigned.

Using the energy from the spring as an amplifier, Lin Xuan sent high-frequency vibrations through the medium of the water. The water that had begun to turn murky due to the poison suddenly glowed golden.

A miracle occurred. The chemical liquid from the Song family, which should have been lethal, instead decomposed and merged with the minerals from the energy spring. Under Lin Xuan's control, the poison was transformed into a more concentrated nutrient. The plants that had withered suddenly rose again with stronger stems and wider leaves.

"He... he turned poison into fertilizer?" the young engineer whispered in awe.

Lin Xuan collapsed to his knees in the mud, his breath gasping. The technique drained his physical body which had not yet fully recovered. However, he smiled seeing his land remain green. "When you focus on providing benefits to the land and the people around you, the earth will protect you in ways that cannot be penetrated by even the most advanced technology."

News about the Miracle Land that remained fertile despite being poisoned began to spread to the poor villagers around the northern region. That afternoon, several villagers came carrying empty bottles, pleading for a little water for their sick families.

Lin Xuan welcomed them with open arms. He shared the water without asking for a single cent. In his eyes, this was not about business, but about building a Positive Frequency Ecosystem.

Among the crowd of villagers, an old man with a bamboo conical hat and tattered clothes stood silently. His sharp eyes watched Lin Xuan's every move. He was one of the Elders of the Nine Heavens—the Red Robe in disguise.

The Elder was shocked. He expected to find a broken Lin Xuan or a Lin Xuan building a secret weapon. But he instead found a man who was hoeing the ground and sharing water with the poor.

"He is not building a company," the Elder thought in horror. "He is building the trust of nature. A person who holds the heart of the earth is far more dangerous than a person who holds an energy sword."

Lin Xuan turned toward the old man as if he knew who was behind the hat. He simply nodded politely, then went back to work lifting piles of bricks.

That day, atop the mud and trash, Lin Xuan was no longer just a naive dreamer. He had become a true Architect building his world from the very first grain of dust.

Never underestimate the power of actions done with dirty hands and a pure heart. The universe does not only grant miracles to those who pray at the altar, but more often gives them to those who dare to sweat on the lowliest ground. True success is not about how high you fly, but about how strong the roots you plant in the middle of a storm are.
