Chapter: The Silent Murder
One day, the Seven Sins gathered to discuss the death of their brother—
a death so perfect that it left no traces behind.
Envy spoke first.
"Thank you all for gathering today. I have something important to tell you."
Gluttony frowned.
"What do you want to tell us?"
Envy's expression darkened.
"Our brother Greed has been killed by an unknown individual—someone who possesses terrifying power.
We all know how incredibly strong Greed was."
Wrath shouted in disbelief.
"What?! How did he die?!"
Pride clenched his fist, anger burning within him.
"He will regret this."
Lust asked coldly,
"What are we going to do?"
"We will search for him and find the one responsible," Envy replied.
Lust nodded.
"We should go to the cave where Greed died first."
Envy shook his head.
"He disappeared after his death."
Gluttony growled impatiently.
"Then what do we do?"
"We hunt him down," Envy said firmly.
Envy stood up, gripping his weapon—a bloodstained dagger—and turned toward the exit.
"Follow me."
The Seven Sins left their headquarters and headed toward the mountain where the cave once stood.
After arriving, they began searching carefully for any trace of the killer.
"We must search every corner," Envy ordered.
"I agree," Lust said.
Suddenly, Gluttony spoke.
"I found something."
They all rushed toward him.
"It's blood," Gluttony said.
Envy's eyes sharpened.
"Someone lives nearby. Search for a house."
The Seven Sins split up, each heading in a different direction.
Suddenly, Pride shouted,
"Envy! We need to go down into the forest below—there's a house there!"
"Everyone, move down the mountain!" Envy commanded.
They descended into the forest, searching for anything that could be connected to their brother's death.
"I found it!" Lust called out.
"There's a house to the north of the mountain peak!"
They all rushed toward the house.
Wrath raised his hammer and smashed the door open with brutal force.
Inside, a man named Yuto heard the door shatter.
"Who's there?!" Yuto shouted.
He rushed out of his room, drawing a flaming sword, ready to defend himself from any sudden attack.
Sloth spoke calmly.
"Come outside. The battlefield will be wider."
Yuto smirked.
"So you want to fight? Then come!"
He stepped outside the house and summoned elemental swords around him.
Lust shouted angrily,
"You killed our brother!"
"I didn't kill anyone," Yuto replied coldly.
"But I know who did."
Sloth's eyes narrowed.
"Then that connection ends now."
The battle erupted instantly.
Gluttony lunged forward, swinging the Scythe of Devouring.
Yuto reacted quickly, blocking the attack and striking Gluttony's chest from afar with his flaming blade.
At that moment, Sloth activated the Hour of Sloth, slowing Yuto's movements.
Gluttony barely escaped the fatal strike.
"These weapons… they're incredibly powerful," Yuto muttered.
Suddenly, all Seven Sins attacked at once.
Sloth's power slowed Yuto further.
Lust hurled her spear.
Unable to move in time, Yuto was struck as Envy pierced his chest.
Yuto fell to the ground, his body soaked in blood, standing on the edge of death.
With his final breath, he whispered,
"He will take revenge on all of you… you bastards."
Wrath stepped forward.
"In your dreams."
He raised his hammer and crushed Yuto's head—
ending his life.
