Chapter 26 - Ten Nations Wiped Out! The Ultimate Terror!

The instant the Will of Blue Star spoke—

before the livestream chat could even process what was happening…

before the two White Rooster Nationcompetitors could even react…

They were dragged straight underground by the Giant Thousand-Hand Centipede—vanishing without a trace.

And the moment they disappeared—

their livestream feed went black.

The viewers instantly lost it.

"Damn—why did the screen go black?!"

"No idea! That thing surfaced and in less than three seconds—black screen!"

"Yeah, you're lagging!"

"This isn't joke time! That was A-rank!"

"They're probably done for…"

"Wait—Will of Blue Star hasn't announced their deaths yet! Maybe they're still alive!"

As the comments said—

they weren't dead yet.

But…

Just like the Will of Blue Star described, once they were dragged beneath the earth…

they began a nightmare that made the phrase "one thousand minus seven" feel sickeningly real.

And the White Rooster Nation duo's horror was only the beginning.

The forest wakes up—and starts hunting

After the White Rooster Nation incident, competitors scattered across that same forest region began encountering the Giant Thousand-Hand Centipede one after another.

Every case looked the same:

Dragged underground in an instant.

Livestream—black screen.

Like a predator that had slept for ages and finally decided it was time to feed.

Bad news rolled across the forest like a plague.

And after a long stretch of silence…

the Will of Blue Star finally delivered the verdict for White Rooster Nation:

[Detection: White Rooster Nation competitor(s) deceased! White Rooster Nation's resources have been fully extracted!!]

Only then did the leaders of the world truly understand what was happening.

Up until now, with expert teams guiding their competitors, many nations had started to see progress. Confidence was rising.

They believed human intelligence—strategy, traps, coordination—could overcome beasts that mostly lacked intellect.

Given enough time, competitors would grow stronger… then gradually push into higher-rank zones and claim better resources.

But reality smashed that illusion to pieces.

An A-rank creature.

A Giant Thousand-Hand Centipede.

It dragged everyone straight back into the abyss.

This was the Divine Domain.

In the face of absolute power, tricks meant nothing.

Against an A-rank monster with that kind of force…

humans had no way to fight back.

Evacuation orders… that arrive too late

World governments reacted fast, issuing emergency instructions to any competitors still inside the forest:

Get out. Now.

Just hours ago, some of those same officials had been dreaming of claiming this enormous forest as a strategic resource.

Now nobody dared look at it.

Because no one had even seen the centipede's full strength.

Sometimes it appeared for only seconds.

Sometimes it didn't even appear at all—the feed simply went black, and that was that.

Humans fear nothing more than the unknown.

And against a creature they couldn't track, couldn't predict, and couldn't even properly see—

officials and viewers alike felt the same thing crawling up their spines:

a deep, helpless despair.

This forest wasn't a "high-tier resource zone."

It was a forbidden region—

a place humans were never meant to enter.

But even with evacuation orders sent out…

the hunt didn't stop.

By the time people woke up and tried to flee, it was already too late.

The forest was vast.

And during their resource search, many teams had traveled deep inside.

Getting out now was easier said than done.

Worse—

it was as if anyone heading toward the edge was being deliberately targeted.

The centipede moved like a ghost.

One moment it was on the east side of the forest—

the next it was on the west.

Nobody could grasp its path.

Nobody could predict where it would strike next.

And almost without exception—

competitors inside the forest began to fall.

[Detection: "Gala Nation" competitor(s) deceased! Resources fully extracted!!]

[Detection: "Cig Butt Nation" competitor(s) deceased! Resources fully extracted!!]

[Detection: "Dried Fruit Nation" competitor(s) deceased! Resources fully extracted!!]

...

...

Death notices kept coming, one after another.

Listening to that relentless sequence of announcements…

the world went numb.

"My God… that's ten-plus countries wiped out already!"

"What kind of monster is this?! The whole forest feels like its backyard!"

"Honestly… it probably is its backyard."

"How is it crossing such huge distances so fast?"

"A-rank, man. That speed makes sense…"

"Thank God our country's competitors didn't spawn in that region… otherwise we'd be finished."

They were right.

Under the centipede's hunt, the number of nations wiped out had already climbed into the double digits.

And just as fear reached its peak—

the Will of Blue Star spoke again.

But this time, it wasn't another death announcement.

It was something else entirely—
