Chapter 22 - Dark Future

"Tsk! Brat, don't take my kindness for granted. I am only helping you because we need to work together to face those threats."

Hearing his arrogant voice, Naruto knew Kurama was just trying to save his face.

"I know. I know."

He made some cup ramen and filled his stomach before eating it. After he finished his meal, he went to bed and sat cross-legged.

He closed his eyes and appeared inside his mindscape.

Because of the memories, this was as easy as breathing for him.

He walked towards the cell.

At this moment, Kurama was releasing a lot of Chakra and pressure from the cell, but Naruto didn't panic.

He didn't even blink as he walked in front of the cell and entered the cell.

"Humph! All the fighting experience and knowledge of thirty years old in the body of twelve years old."

Kurama snorted as he saw Naruto ignore his pressure so easily. If it were previous Naruto, he would've been scared.

"I can't help it, okay. But there are a lot of things that I feel like I am missing. Ahh, yes, it's your memories."

"Our memories should've been combined. Why am I not receiving your memories?"

Hearing that, Kurama snorted.

"Tsk! You think you can handle my memories. Even your future-self is just an idiot who needs my help to understand Nuclear Fusion."

"If he gives you those memories, your mind would burn out before you could even handle one percent of it."

Naruto rubbed the back of his head with an embarrassed look on his face.

Even he remembered that Nuclear Fusion should be something humans figured out.

But while he didn't remember a single thing about it, Kurama had memorized everything and even knew how it functioned.

"Hey, it's my fault that I am not good at theoretical knowledge."

Naruto apologized, admitting his shortcomings.

Seeing this, a look of surprise appeared on Kurama's eyes as he nodded.

"Now, you feel more like a brat who has accepted the knowledge of the future."

Then, his expression got serious as he continued.

"So, you should understand just how important our next decision will be. Whether it is Ishiki, Code, Daemon, Eda, or even other Otsutsuki, you must get stronger to defeat them."

"Naruto has learned to believe in the future generation. But then why did he pass these memories to you?"

Hearing his question, Naruto paused and thought for a moment.

A bright smile appeared on his face as he said.

"So that my children will not have to go through what I did."

Kurama nodded and said.

"Exactly! There is an extra piece of information that your future-self hadn't passed to you since it is exclusive information I received after we fought there."

"But, this piece of information is quite cruel. I can pass it to you, but are you sure you can accept it??"

"Remember, if you can't accept it, you will not be able use my Chakra properly."

Hearing his words, Naruto panicked for a moment.

Considering how they had connected through those memories, Naruto knew Kurama wouldn't remind him of something if it was an easy thing.

And considering how he just overcame his anger and hatred, Kurama shouldn't have doubted him even more.

But he did. And that terrified him.

Was the future really that bad that Kurama was worried that he would lose control?

After all, he hadn't accepted his darkness or even purified Kurama's hatred.

So, unless Kurama actively refines Chakra for him, all that extra Chakra leaking out of his body would definitely have severe consequences.

But he thought about his future self.

Despite believing in his son and the future generation of Konoha, Naruto still sent the memories to the past.

He was betting everything on those memories. If it created a Parallel World, then at least nothing would change in that world.

But if he didn't then, future Naruto was literally betting on him, believing that he would choose the right direction for the world.

At this moment, Naruto realized that the weight of the world was on his shoulders.

Since the future-self trusted him so much, how could he back down so easily?

He raised his hand and clenched his fist.

"Kurama, I will not lose control. I will not let down those who put their trust in me."

Hearing that, Kurama smirked and gave him a fist bump.

Suddenly, Naruto was bombarded with a new piece of information.

This didn't come from the perspective of Kurama or even his future son. It came from the perspective of his future daughter.

He 'died'. Boruto Uzumaki became Boruto while Kawaki became Kawaki Uzumaki.

Three years later, the threat of divine trees rose. His son became strong, surpassing even him.

For Himawari, Boruto was Kawaki, and Kawaki was Boruto.

But since he was watching this from an outside perspective, he knew Boruto and Kawaki were two different people.

More importantly, Himiwari had figured out that Kawaki wasn't Boruto, but every time she did, her memories kept changing.

Although she wasn't very smart, her bond with her brother was very strong. So, sometimes doubts emerged, especially since she was living with him.

But as her memories kept changing more, she genuinely started believing that Kawaki was her brother.

This made Naruto realize just how deadly Otsutsuki's power was.

They could fundamentally rewrite reality to their whim. But it was a good thing that not all Otsutsuki possessed this level of power.

Naruto also saw that everything happened because of Kawaki and how his son literally became the criminal who killed the World's Hero.

He also found that the only people who didn't believe in this were Sasuke's daughter and Boruto's class president, Sumire.

When he learned that, Naruto couldn't help but give thumbs up to his son.

He managed to get Sasuke's daughter.

He understood why Kurama was afraid that he would lose control.

After all, all of this happened because he took in Kawaki.

But Naruto shook his head as he watched this from his future-self perspective and his own perspective, gaining a new understanding of this move.

"But then, think again, Kurama, if I hadn't adopted Kawaki, Ishiki would've been revived in Kawaki and destroyed the world."
