Rey moved through the manor's depths like a specter. The automatons spread out, their sensors tracking heat signatures and movement.
Wherever they found Order members, death followed.
Some died to the automatons' energy weapons, cut down before they understood what was happening. Others lived long enough to see Rey emerge from shadows, his presence a promise of oblivion.
None of them could do anything to resist.
They could only flee.
A group of four had gathered in the manor's kitchen, sorting through stolen silverware and jeweled plates. Rey entered through the doorway, and they looked up with smiles—surely their allies had come with news of the Deep Vault's complete plunder.
The smiles died when they saw his eyes.
"Wait—" one began.
Rey didn't wait.
His hands moved with brutal efficiency. Necks snapped. Skulls caved in. Chaos Energy corroded flesh wherever he touched.
Two died in the first five seconds. The remaining two tried to run.
