Both techniques disintegrated into blinding light—
vanishing at the exact same moment.
Silence fell.
And so—

Kael lunged instantly—his presence vanishing.
Neraxis' eyes sharpened.
THUD!
Kael's fist smashed into Neraxis' face, launching him off the building like a broken cannonball. The structure cracked behind them, concrete screaming as it collapsed inward.
Neraxis halted midair for a split second.
His power…
It's unreal.
Before he could stabilize—
THUD!
THUD!
Two more punches crashed into him in the air, driving him straight into the ground below. The street imploded on impact, debris erupting like a volcanic blast.
Neraxis coughed blood as he rose from the crater, boots grinding against shattered stone.
"Do you have no remaining countermeasures, Neraxis?" Kael asked calmly.
Neraxis' hands ignited with roaring vital force.
"Of course I do," he replied, grinning darkly.
"Kael Draven."
Vital Amplification surged.
Neraxis lunged forward—
SWISH! His punch tore through the air.
Kael slipped past it and slammed a kick into Neraxis' leg.
The impact staggered him.
Kael grabbed his face—
and drove him headfirst into the ground with a deafening THUD!
The street collapsed further, dust and rubble swallowing the impact point.
Neraxis groaned as he emerged from the wreckage, wiping blood from his mouth, eyes burning.
"This body…" he muttered with irritation.
"…is holding me back."
