It seemed very strange to Olivia that Vanessa would come to visit her since she didn't know her at all, and the day before she hadn't been particularly friendly to her.
Olivia told the maid to let her in, the maid went to fetch her and when she entered she had a box of cookies and said to Olivia.
"I brought cookies to congratulate you on your pregnancy."
"Thank you very much, you can leave them over there, I just finished eating but thank you, you have nothing to thank me for, yesterday I heard about your pregnancy and today I wanted to come and congratulate you on it."
Vanessa looked around the room and asked. "Where is Leonard to congratulate him too?"
When Vanessa asked for Leonard, Olivia realized what she had really come to do at that moment, so she told her.
"He is very busy right now preparing our wedding ceremony so I don't think you can see him."
"I thought you were already married because you are having another wedding ceremony."
Sarine answered Vanessa's question.
"That's because due to my health I couldn't travel for the wedding, so we will have a ceremony here, I had already told you."
"That's right, I had forgotten, I hope you can still celebrate the ceremony in your condition."
Olivia didn't like Vanessa's words very much, so she said to her.
"I'm perfectly fine, I'm just in bed because Leonard is so overprotective that he won't let me get out of bed, but I'm fine."
"I hope the cookies I brought you are to your liking."
"i will try them later, I'm full now, but thank you very much for the gesture."
"You have nothing to thank me for."
While they were talking, one of the servants brought Vandalo, the puppy, and when he saw Vanessa, he jumped out of the servant's arms and started growling and biting her dress. She looked at the puppy with displeasure and said.
"Can someone get this damn beast off me?"
Olivia was very satisfied with what Vandalo had done and said to Vanessa.
"I'm sorry, he doesn't like strangers come here, little one."
Vandalo let go of Vanessa and jumped on the bed next to Olivia. She began to pet him and Vandalo kept growling at Vanessa.
"That do is very wild, you shouldn't have a beast like that."
"Oh!... What it is that he is not a dog he is a young wolf, that must be why he is so wild with strangers."
When Vanessa heard that the puppy Olivia was petting was a wolf, she said to her.
"Why would you have such a dangerous beast as a pet?"
"I have him because I like him, besides, I am his master, he only protects me from strangers, with me he is usually very gentle."
Vanessa didn't like that the beast was growling at her, so she said.
"It seems that I am not liked by your pet, it would be best for me to leave."
"Thank you very much for your visit."
Vandalo made a gesture as if was going to attack her again and Vanessa almost ran out of the room. When she left, Vandalo calmed down and curled up next to Olivia. She stroked his ears and said to him.
"Well done, Vandalo, that woman is no good, you should attack her whenever you see her."
Leonard's mother started laughing and said. "What a face she made when Vandalo attacked her."
"She deserves it for wanting to seduce my husband."
"I can't deny that it's obvious that she came for that."
"Yes, we should throw away those cookies, who knows what she put in them."
"Yes, I'll take them and throw them away."
Leonard returned to the room and when he saw Vandalo next to him he said. "What is that beast doing here?"
"He came to take care of me, he is a better guard dog than I could have imagined."
"What do you mean?"
"Vanessa came to visit me supposedly to congratulate me on my pregnancy, but she only came to see if she could get close to you, Vandalo attacked her and then left."
Leonard tried to remove the puppy from the bed and Olivia slapped his hand and said. "Leave it, he's asleep.
"That animal is not going to stay in my room."
Well if he doesn't stay, I won't either. I'm sure if I stay in your mother's room she will let him stay with me.
In the end, Leonard agreed to Olivia's blackmail and said to her, "Alright."
Leonard got into bed on the other side of Olivia and said to her, "I don't think it's good for you to sleep with that beast."
"Vandal takes care of me, he would never harm me," Olivia replied.
"But..." Leonard started to say.
"I know you don't like him, but he would never hurt me. He's good puppy to me," Olivia interrupted.
"Well, he growls at me all the time," Leonard said.
"That's because he doesn't like you, especially when you try to get rid of him every chance you get," Olivia explained.
"Just know that if he ever attacks me, I will kill him," Leonard warned.
"I'll make sure that never happens, but don't you dare to anything to him or I'll be very mad at you," Olivia threatened.
"I won't do anything if he doesn't," Leonard assured her, giving Olivia a kiss on the cheek. "How have my two most precious people been?" he asked.
Olivia touched her belly and said, "We're good."
Leonard hugged her and asked, "What do you think it will be?"
"I don't know, I'll be happy no matter what it is. What would you like it to be?" Olivia replied.
"It doesn't matter to me, I'll love him/her either way because it will be our child," Leonard answered.
Olivia turned her face towards Leonard and asked him the question that had been lingering in her mind all afternoon. "Do I seem upset to you?"
Leonard was surprised by the question and said, "No, why do you ask that now?"
"Oh, it's nothing. I just wanted to know," Olivia said.
Olivia snuggled into his arms and said, "I'm glad you don't think I'm annoying."
Leonard kissed her forehead and replied, "I love you and I don't think you're annoying."
Olivia turned her face and kissed him on the lips. Leonard passionately responded to her kiss and after a few minutes, he pulled away and said, "It's best if wen abstain from this for a while or I won't be able to control myself and I'll end up attacking you."
Olivia settled back onto his chest and said, "Okay."
One of the servants brought them dinner in their room since Olivia needed to rest to ensure the baby's safety.
After dinner, Olivia fell asleep in Leonard's arms. He watched her sleeping face, let out a sigh, and said to himself, "How am I supposed to endure all this time without making her mine?"
He pulled her closer and fell asleep, breathing in the scent of her hair.
A week passed, during which Olivia remained in her room, Leonard not allowing her to get up even for a moment. He would even carry her in his arms to the bathroom. Olivia was beginning to grow tired of Leonard's excessive care.
Luckily, that day he had to go to the city for some business, so he left her alone in the morning. Olivia ttok advantage of his absence to go to the garden for a while. She and her mother-in-law drank tea and ate pastries until they couldn't anymore.
The owner of the fashion house arrived to deliver the dress Olivia had ordered. She was surprised too see that the dress was being delivered so soon and felt very anxious to see how it turned out.
They went to the room where the owner of the shop and her assistant were waiting. The dress was stored in a large box tied with a red ribbon Olivia was both excited and nervous to see her dress.
When the assistant took the dress out of the box to show it to her, Olivia was amazed. Her dress was beautiful and she hurried to try it on.
Seeing herself in the mirror, Olivia was marvelled, as the dress for her perfectly. She was very pleased with the dress they had made for her and said, "The dress is truly wonderful, I love it."
The shop owner, upon hearing Olivia praise her work, let out a sigh of relief, unsure if the dress she had made for the young duchess would meet her expectations.
Sarine, seeing Olivia in her bridal dress, couldn't help but shed tears of happiness at how beautiful she looked and said, "Oh, my dear, you look stunning. That day, undoubtedly, you will be the most beautiful bride."
"I hope Leonard likes it too."
"Without a doubt, he will be very surprised when he sees you."
After Olivia had admired herself several times in the mirror, she took off the dress and they stored it back in the box. Sarine and instructed them to take it to Olivia's room, as she didn't want her son to see the dress before the wedding.
After all the excitement, Olivia felt tired and went to her room. When Leonard returned from the city, he brought Olivia several pastries he had bought from one of the city's most famous bakeries. Upon seeing the pastries, Olivia indulged in them. She had eaten a lot a few hours ago, but her hunger had increased, and she often felt hungry.
It amused Olivia to imagine Leonard buying pastries for her and she said, "Thank you for the desserts, they were delicious."
Leonard wiped some cake off her cheek and said, "I'm glad you liked them. If you want to eat them again, just let me know, and I'll send someone to buy them for you."
"Thank you."
"Bu the way, what have you done today?"
"The dress designer came to deliver my wedding dress."
"And did you like it?"
Olivia's eyes lit up as she replied, "Yes, the dress is truly wonderful, I love it."
I'm looking forward to being able to see him with you.
I am looking forward to that day when I can use it too, and how are you doing with the wedding.
Leonard gave Olivia a kiss on the cheek and said to her. Everything is going very well, you shouldn't worry about that, you just need to take care of yourself and our baby.
Olivia touched her belly and said to him. He is growing very well.
Leonard carried Olivia to bed in his arms and rested her head on his lap and put his ear close to her belly and said to her.
Let's see if I can hear it.
Olivia laughed and told him.
Hahaha he is still too little for you to hear him.
Olivia found it amusing how tender Leonard was with her pregnancy, he kissed her belly and said to her. Even so, our baby may already be able to kick.
Olivia caressed Leonard's soft jet-black hair and said to him.
When he starts moving, you will be the first to know.

Leonard lifted his head from her legs gave her a kiss, and said to her.
I'm looking forward to the baby being born soon.
I also wish to see our child's face soon, if it's a boy, I hope is as handsome and beautiful as his father.
If it's a girl, I prefer her to resemble you, to be beautiful and sweet like her mother, although it doesn't really matter whose resemblance she takes after, we will love her the same way.
