Sekhmet lay on his back in the crushed grass, one arm draped over his eyes. He was breathing hard. His chest rose and fell in slow, heavy waves, and the blood beneath his skin still glowed faintly, a dark crimson pulse that thrummed through the earth around him.
Elena lay beside him, her body still trembling from the aftershocks of her first climax. Her thighs were slick, her skin flushed from her chest to her cheeks, and her hair was a tangled mess across the pale ground. She had never felt anything like it. Her divine body, which had withstood centuries of battle and hardship, felt completely undone.
For a long moment, neither of them spoke.
The Void Land was silent around them, save for the slow rhythm of their breathing. The sky overhead was an endless pale void, the ground beneath them barren and cold, but the heat radiating from their bodies created a small pocket of warmth in the emptiness.
Sekhmet lowered his arm and turned his head to look at her.
