Chapter 25 - Ace Pilot (Not Really)

As usual, Takumi was riding a Wyvern, circling in the sky above the Allied Capital.

'I am above Kurara Island, everything is normal here...'

Looking at the various buildings and soldiers below, such a sentence inexplicably appeared in Takumi's mind.

His memory was good. The place he referred to wasn't much different from the Allied Capital.

It saved Nero a lot of effort.

So naturally, he was once again responsible for investigating the general troop deployment of the Allied Forces from the sky.

'Speaking of which, I shouldn't get shot down, right?'

Takumi recalled which character said this line and felt a bit ominous.

He shook his head.

Don't think about those useless things. Focus on observing the enemy legions.

But the speed of observing and recording in his little notebook increased slightly.

Suddenly.

He saw a red figure standing on the city wall waving at him.

Takumi narrowed his eyes and looked carefully.

Young Iskandar?

It seems he has already been summoned.

Then the one next to him must be Lord El-Melloi II?

Looking at that familiar long hair and trench coat, Takumi thought silently.

Just as Takumi was thinking, a black dot with a hint of red light suddenly appeared in his vision.

And it was getting bigger and bigger.

Magic Cannon!

After discovering the existence of the light dot, Takumi reacted instantly.

Without a word, he unfurled the flag.

Golden radiance spilled down immediately.

Alexander saw a black beam shoot out from the rear, streaking across the sky.

It accurately hit the small black dot flying in the sky.

The smile on his face froze, and the hand that was waving just now also stopped.

Alexander couldn't help but sigh:

"...It seems flying in the sky isn't very safe either."

"Flying is too conspicuous. As long as there are anti-air means, probably no one will let it pass."

El-Melloi II took a puff of his cigar and said.

Lord El-Melloi II, Lord of the Clock Tower's Department of Modern Magecraft, and also the Waver Velvet who participated in the Fourth Holy Grail War following Iskandar (Adult Alexander).

After obtaining the power of Zhuge Liang, he was officially elevated to a Heroic Spirit.

He also descended into this Singularity as a Rogue Servant.

The reason he appeared on the Allied side was simply that he wanted to assist Alexander.

Just to satisfy his own wish.

The two continued to chat.

"Is that so? Flying so high is quite useful in conventional warfare. It's hard for anyone to hit him, right?"

"Unfortunately, this isn't conventional warfare. Flying in the sky is nice, but if you aren't agile enough, you'll be treated as a live target."

Just as they were speaking, several more magic beams flashed across the sky.

Then, after a pause, another dozen followed.

It left people stunned.

"...That guy seems a bit irritable?"

"...Maybe his eyesight is bad. I saw him fire so many shots just now, but it seems only the very first one hit."

El-Melloi II looked at the sky, at the slightly panicked but unharmed little black dot, and said speechlessly.

If he had Lev's magical power, he could hit at least three or four shots.

And Takumi didn't seem to be maneuvering much. How did he only get hit by the first shot?

"Haha, looking at it this way, that guy is quite interesting. It's just that he's too confident in his summoning arts."

"But this is just right. It gives me a chance to see what kind of Emperor this Nero is."

"So, I'm counting on you for this period, Teacher."

Alexander looked at El-Melloi II with a smile.

"Mmh. First, let's analyze the enemy Servants. The destructive power of those two Berserkers is too great..."

The two here chatted happily.

A peaceful scene.

Takumi's side was a bit thrilling.

After activating his Noble Phantasm and blocking the first magic cannon, the impact knocked him straight off the dragon's back.

Fortunately, Takumi had quick hands and eyes. Before falling, he grabbed the Wyvern's leg.

Only then did he look in the direction the magic cannon was fired from and saw Lev standing on high ground.

No time to think too much.

Takumi flipped over and returned to the dragon's back.

He hurriedly drove the Wyvern, whose flight trajectory was deformed from fear, to return.

Several more magic cannons struck.

Takumi unfurled his Noble Phantasm again.

Ready to intercept.

But the expected impact did not appear. The magic cannons grazed past him and the Wyvern beneath his feet; not a single one hit.

Takumi even saw one miss by a full twenty meters.

Takumi was stunned.

'Master of Body Outline Tracing?'

Forget it, run, run! If I get unlucky and really get hit, it won't be fun.

Just in case, Takumi quickly drove the Wyvern to dive down and flee.

In the distance.

Lev, who refused to believe in heresy and fired another dozen magic cannons, looked at his smoking finger.

His face turned black instantly.

Flicking his sleeve, he lost the mood to watch the show for a while.

---

Returning to Nero's army camp, he let the profusely sweating Wyvern be unsummoned.

Feeling the sensation of his feet on solid ground, Takumi felt a wave of relief.

"In the future, if the opponent has anti-air units, I won't fly so high!"

Wiping the cold sweat startled out of him from nearly being hit several times, Takumi secretly made up his mind.

"My Guard! That was truly thrilling just now. I didn't expect your flying skills to be so superb that you weren't hit even once afterward!"

Seeing Takumi return, Nero walked over with a face full of excitement.

She wished she could have flown just now to try the feeling of weaving freely through a barrage of magic cannons.

"No, that was purely because the opponent's aim was too bad..."

Takumi sweated.

So he detailed what had just happened, causing Nero to laugh heartily.

However, the happiness didn't last long.

After all, intelligence has a time limit. Nero quickly organized the army and attacked the Allied Capital.

Amidst the shouts of killing, Nero soon discovered that in terms of troop arrangement and formation, she was completely no match for the opponent.

No matter how she organized her army, she was only being led by the nose.

"Who exactly is the enemy general? I actually have almost no power to fight back."

Nero couldn't help furrowing her beautiful brows.

Takumi then realized he had forgotten to tell Nero.

He hurriedly explained:

"The opponent is that Alexander the Great, plus Zhuge Liang from my hometown. In terms of mastery over armies, there should be no one here more outstanding than those two."

Nero didn't know Zhuge Liang, but she was very familiar with the other one.

"Hah? That Alexander the Great? He was summoned too?"

Nero looked shocked.

Isn't this supposed to be a battle royale between Roman ancestors and me, the orthodox Roman Emperor?

Alexander the Great existed much earlier than Nero. Even Caesar was an admirer of Alexander the Great.

That phrase "I came, I saw, I conquered" was also learned from Alexander.

One had to admit.

Lev's summoning choice was indeed very good.

In this kind of legion warfare, Alexander was indeed a quite perfect choice—

It was just that he was summoned too late, when the enemy was already at the doorstep.

And Alexander might not necessarily listen to him...

"Then it's not strange. If it's him, in a proper legion battle, indeed, it is hard for me to be his opponent—"

"Since that is the case! It is time for the two Generals to take the stage again!"

Nero decisively summoned her two great generals.

Two Berserkers, launch!

Two Berserkers, on a rampage!

Two Berserkers... were lured away?

Takumi facepalmed.

'I knew it would be like this!'

"The two Generals are undeniably brave, but their judgment on the battlefield is worrying."

Nero also held her forehead.

The opponent didn't even show a Servant unit; they just sent a few squads of soldiers and lured the two away.

"No choice. It seems I have to take action personally!"

Nero drew [Aestus Estus] and pointed it forward.

"My Guard! Prepare to charge!"

"Yes, yes, yes..."
