A young peasant with white hair walked past the streets while holding a long bread that he stole from a bakery.
"Stop right there!"
A baker in his middle age yelled at the young peasant as he pull the below eyelid of his right eye. The young peasant laughed out loud as he ran into one of the alleyways and hid. The baker ran past the alleyway in search of the peasant. After the baker seemed far gone, the young peasant who hid behind a many holed large piece of hanging cloth and ran the opposite side of the alleyway. The streets were bustling with people in victorian era outfits. The contrast of the city isn't vibrant like the current day, grey and brown building with the stone floor tiling. The young peasant ran towards the other alleyway and enters it. There sat a few homeless beggars on the ground.
"I got bread! Eat up!"
The young peasant break a few pieces of breads and gave them to the homeless beggars. They thanked him as the boy continued deeper into the alleyway. Finally, he reached onto a piece of rug where a woman sat, holding a chipped bowl with a few coins inside it.
"Mom, I got bread!"
The frail woman whose lips were dry tilted her head and look at her son.
"Did you steal from the baker again? How many times did I tell you not to steal?"
"Come on mom, we have not eaten for days! Here, just eat up!"
The boy pouted and he rip a large piece of bread from the long bread and gave it to her mother. Despite not encouraging her son's actions, she hesitated but took the bread and eat it like a lion who had not eaten for days. The boy giggled as he rip some for himself and chew onto it. Right then, a voice sounded behind the alleyway as a young girl walked up to him.
"Hiden! Did you went and steal again?"
"Geez Rachael, you said the same thing as mom did."
Rachael. Also a peasant like the young peasant, or known as the young Hiden. Hiden ripped a part of the bread and handed it to Rachael.
"Take this."
"No,"
"Take it."
"I said no!"
Facing Rachael foolish persistence, the young Hiden sighed and turned his body around.
"Fine then, I guess I will have to eat this myself~"
The young Hiden spoke in a taunting voice. He turned his body to his left where Rachael could see him raise his right arm up high as the bread was about to fall into his mouth.
"....Wait!"
The young Hiden smirked but hid it by asking a question.
"What is it?"
"I...want to eat the bread..."
Hiden giggled once again and handed the bread to Rachael. Rachael ate it without leaving any crumbs. The young Hiden's mother watches the children and sigh silently.
In the first century, rulers and kings aren't truly established by humanity. The building and the currency were all wisdom and knowledge passed down by the gods. Without a king, humanity lived their life in fear where demons beside what is now known as the Kingdom of Hiden would be terrorised by them.
Despite having no ruler, human event the governing system and elect their governor through those who have the highest wisdom. Though this governing system would not be able to withstand due to human conflicts which results to disagreements and leading to the downfall of that city.
Who would be the one who would liberate humanity? Who would be brave enough to go against the order of the demon king and stop him from his evil assault?
The young Hiden's mother all asked for Hiden is to gain knowledge and be wise. Because of that, he read and read books that he borrowed from a gentle book store owner.
There was a government school where it was free for all students who does not have the money to afford higher knowledge. Hiden, Rachael and few of his peasant friends would go and study there while also enjoying the life as a peasant. While Hiden was a lazy boy, his mother would scold him and beat him with a rod. Noble say is abuse but mother say this is for their own good. Hiden knew what his mother's desire for him and was teaching him discipline, and this is what resulted him to become a wise and understanding king later on.
One day, where Hiden and his few peasant friends walked at a lush green field. The wind brushes on their face as a noble was with them. While other nobles looked down at peasants, this young noble was interested in them, trying to understand them. This resulted in many peasants loving him and his family getting respected by peasants. Though it can't be said the same for other nobles for their family...
Right on the left hip of the young noble, Rerwin, was a small sword that his father gave him. All nobles received training at an early age so it is not odd for them to walk around with sword hang onto them. They are all 14 at this age.
"Hiden! Look at this field, it's beautiful."
Rachael exclaimed as she grabs onto Hiden's hand and ran with him. The staggering Hiden followed her as two other peasants, Limin and Julien giggled at the sight of the 'couple'. They were having a picnic at Sunday. Julien set the rug as she prepares food for all of them. All of the picnic items came from the pocket of the young noble Rerwin. Inside the field of various flowers, they were happy and enjoying the food and the sight until something was uncalled for.
A demon suddenly descends from above and destroyed the flower field around him. His hand was made out of a dark blade as he looked at the teenagers picnicking. Back then, the demon king did not cared about the demons and there was not any set rules for them. Though there is not even after the Dark Sages were established. Demons kills to their own liking and entertainment.
Facing the teenagers that were filled with fear, the demon let out a huge grin that looked devil-like. Rerwin drew out his small sword and pointed at the demon. Among all of them, Rerwin was the only one who had the most combat skill. The demon tilted his head to the right before suddenly appearing in front of Rerwin and swings his right arm at him.
Rerwin manages to block it with his small sword but the impact pressed him down, making him spit out blood. The demon kicked him in the stomach and sent him flying onto a tree. This is not the first time they have seen a demon. They have seen demons multiple times even back in the city. Demons would come and terrorise the city while they could only hide in fear and pray for the time to pass.
The demon then suddenly appeared beside Julien as she was also slammed in the stomach by the demon's leg. His legs also have blade so Julien was slashed and blood started pouring out of her.
Rachael ran towards her, trying to held her up but the demon appeared behind Rachael and swings his left hand at her. Hiden could not keep on watching this drags on and grabbed Rerwin's sword and blocked the attack.
The demon looked at Hiden and let out a presence that blood started pouring out of his ears and nose. Ultimately, the demon overpowered the fragile boy and a visible huge slash appeared on his body.
Limin tries to stop the demon from killing Hiden but was also eventually slashed diagonally on the body. Now left the despaired Rachael as she begs for mercy. Though there is no mercy given by the demon. Why would there be mercy given by a demon, who did this purely out of entertainment and their greed for evil.
Rerwin stood back up and ran towards the demon. He punches the demon's body but the demon did not take any damages and just simply swings his hand which sever the upper body of Rerwin apart from the lower body.
Hiden manages to gain back his consciousness as Rerwin lay on the ground, dead. The demon went on to stomp on Limin's head to then reaching for Julien. Finally, it appeared before the despaired Hiden and Rachael. He reaches out his hand towards the teens as Hiden letup a huge roar at the demon. It was an ear piercing screech, hoping it could stall time for them to escape.
The demon reassured itself and then stomps his feet at Rachael's body. Blood flowed out of her body as her platinum hair was soaked with her blood. Hiden watches in despair as the demon sever one of his leg.
Rachael cried in pain as Hiden was far apart from her. He noticed her gaze looking at him with tears rolling down. It was as if she was seeking his help. Hiden who then noticed the broken sword beside him, grabs onto it and limp his way to the demon. With all his might, he stabs the demon while yelling.
"Kyaahhh!"
Suddenly, a weird invisible sphere formed around the sword as the demon's arm suddenly exploded. Hiden who is now filled with a weird aura. He tries to climb up but having one leg gone made it hard for him. Irritated, he slams his fist onto the ground which suddenly, the space around them warped and his leg was suddenly restored. he climbed back up and walked towards the demon.
A single step and suddenly Hiden was behind the demon. He swings his hand at the demon while it tries to parry it with his remaining arm. Once again, the arm bends towards the sphere and exploded.
Hiden at 14 years old has awakened his hidden power. Magic was not taught to peasants back then, only the nobles or higher. So this was completely new for Hiden.
Filled with rage and desire for revenge, he took another step and appeared above the demon. His leg was then slammed onto the demon's head as his face was distorted. Then, the head of the demon exploded blood rained down onto the ground.
Due to that incident, the young Hiden has discovered the gift given by the gods to him. That is, to warp space to his own will.
While lives are lost during that incident, many lives are saved in the future because of that discovery. Hiden who is being researched by scientists of that city, searching for the source of the power. While there was no lead till this day, the scientists all came up with a conclusion that this child, would carry the hope to stop the Demon King.
Under the peer pressure, Hiden trained himself with the strongest swordsman in the city, with the most renown mage in the city. All this to improve himself and to carry more hope. Shortly after, his mother passed away. Despite all respecting the young Hiden, no one held a funeral for her. The only two attending are the young Hiden and Rachael.
At the age of 18, Hiden had set foot in the demon king continent. For his power was special, he invented a way to activate his power by just snapping his fingers. He who has plenty of experience in using his power easily defeated the beasts in the Demon King continent. Finally, it was time he faced the Demon King.
He who had a sense of pride in his face. There was no one who dared to challenge the demon king back then before Hiden so there was no data nor document on what kind of power and magic he is capable of.
Clash. Sword sounds striking against each other sounded in the room. It was a fierce battle that lasted for three days. Ultimately and unfortunately, Hiden ultimately lost to the demon king. Despite losing, he was able to leave a single scar at his neck. This earn the recognition from the demon king.
"I-I lost…"
Hiden was despaired. He was the hope humanity have but yet lost to the demon king. The demon king who sat on his throne let out a chuckle as he gave Hiden an offer.
"Interesting one. Are you a human? You have truly pique my interest. How about this, I'll let you live, but for that, you will have to do this one thing for me,"
Hiden raised his head and looked at the demon king. The shadow covered his whole face, only leaving a deep red eyes with bright yellow pupils staring at the young Hiden.
"I want you to…become the king over human, do that and I'll let you live. Don't, then I will take over humanity,"
Facing this situation, Hiden got only one choice. Accept it. With this opportunity, Hiden with humanity's trust were given the right to become the king of that city and soon the whole kingdom.
He had became the first king of Hiden, the first king of the world. Later on, Hiden not only conquered the now known Kingdom of Hiden but the whole world. All remaining kingdoms that descends were all Hiden's descendants that part ways to rule different territory to then becoming independent that resulted into a brand new kingdoms which this grants Hiden the title of the king of all kingdoms.
The liberator of humanity, the first king of humanity, the one who went against the demon king, a king that understood the life of the lowly for before then he was one, he is truly, the people's king.

"What a great king you are."
Will who stands before the reanimated Hiden. He seems to be in his 20.
"You know, I got to thank you. If it weren't for you, I doubt that the demon king would let me in."
Will said in a cold tone. There was no response from the dead Hiden. Now then, how can I go against the man who can warp space to his own will. Before Will could do anything, Hiden snapped his fingers and the whole scene changes. They were at a medieval castle where it was a training ground for knights.
"It truly fits your liking your majesty."
Will and Hiden had not met before despite both living in the ancient time. Hiden lived during the first century while Will was few centuries later.
The Shadow Sage, who is the embodiment of shadow, was able to receive attacks that touched his physical body that was so consumed by shadows. It wasn't really made contact, just when Hiden's fist came to Will, the space around his fist warped that it could attack Will without truly touching him.
Will turned into shadow and rushed towards Hiden and grabbed his legs inside the shadow. Hiden stood there unfazed, expressionless as he simply snaps his fingers and the whole world warp. Will who was in the shadow suddenly appeared on the ground lying where Hiden stomps his feet on his body.
The space around warped as Will's body started leaning towards the invisible sphere. Blood came out of Will as his decides to use shadow that wrapped around the invisible sphere. Suddenly, an explosion occurred as Will quickly turned into shadow and appeared few feet away from Hiden.
How am I going to fight him? Draw him into the shadow realm? No, that wouldn't work. He would just warp space and exit that place. The world is basically to his advantage. How about stealing his shadow?
Will looked down below Hiden's feet and noticed his shadow was long gone. Did he warped his shadow into another space? Did he learn about my power? Suddenly, the world warped again as they somehow turned into hand drawn paper. Hiden then punches Will as he blocks it. Will who have always dependent to his power does not know how to fight back using fist.
Will blocked the attack as Hiden kicks his body that sent him warping into a different dimension where they were blocky. Every punches, every kicks, the world warp and Will could only defend and spit out blood through every assaults.
Finally, Will gets the upper hand and unleashed shadows below his feet. Shadow tendrils all flew towards Hiden and smashed the ground, creating craters. Will then deployed shadow beasts that all bit Hiden.
Despite this, Hiden simply snapped his fingers and everything was removed. Will suddenly appeared behind Hiden and swings his fist at his face. Hiden dodges it and kicked Will in the face. Suddenly, a huge crater formed on the ground as Will gritted his teeth. Blood rushed out of his mouth as Hiden continues to punch Will. Will flew back and landed on the ground. After a long time, fear has lingered inside the Shadow Sage.
