Cora-James POV
Greyson was so close, I was forced to look in his eyes. The mischievousness was gone. He was one of the two people I know that can switch between threat and mischievous flirting like it was nothing yet mean both.
The first was Ma.
Maybe it was why I was a little afraid of Greyson Dubois.
"You don't know anything about me. So, don't presume you do, Grey" I forced out.
He moved my hair out of the way, almost in a way one could construed as romantic from afar. It wasn't.
This was a threat.
"There are three things I know that are true about you, Madame Trouble."
He said it in a funny voice. A French accent. Like we were children playing a game. I know we weren't.
"One. You are a bitch. Full stop." He held up a finger.
My jaw tightened.
"Two. You are a manipulative, conniving, self-serving bitch."
My hands curled into fists.
"And three." His voice dropped. "Listen well. This is the most important one."
