"What are you willing to do to achieve something? How serious are you about achieving your goals?"
This was the question that Loki and the other people who came to the Four Directions sect to earn their freedom were asked on their first day in the sect.
For Loki, this question was easy for him to answer because he was reborn as a slave in this world and had already defied the will of his slave master in order to join the Four Directions sect.
He had braved danger and suffering to reach the Four Directions sect. So he knew what it meant to be desperate and was willing to do whatever was required of him to achieve his goal.
In the world of the blessed heaven realm, there is no such thing as human rights, and freedom is a luxury that very few people have. It is said that everyone is a slave to someone. The only difference is how strong their master is.
So he, just like everyone else, is under the control of someone above them. But he doesn't want to remain a slave forever. He aspires to greatness, immortality, and freedom.
He wants to acquire enough power to gain control of his fate. He also wants to rise to the top of the world and be the one to control others. He even wants to gain power and control over death.
In order to achieve this, he is willing to do anything. This is his answer to the question of what he is willing to do to achieve his goals.
His answer to this question was why he awakened the Fenrir metac. This is a metac that can help him achieve his goals by granting him the ability to find prey, hunt prey, and devour them to strengthen himself.
With the Fenrir metac, he will transform from a prey into a predator. He will even have the chance to rise to the top of the food chain and become the strongest predator. That is to be his purpose in life, and with great luck and perseverance, he might achieve it.

Along the way to Loki, Muni was saying, "Look at this weakling. I have never seen someone so lazy. I haven't even mentioned how only 30% of you will survive, and he is already fainting."

"Mark my words, this kind of person with a weak mind won't go far. I am willing to bet my life on it."

"This guy is always loud. How annoying!" Loki thought before activating the Devouring Ability.

A black force field erupted out of him and covered everything around him. It submerged Muni and tore him apart. Then it submerged everyone around him in the blink of an eye.

But the black force field didn't stop there. It spread outwards, covering everything in the sect grounds. Then it spread further, covering everything within the city.

By now, the Dao Lords had become aware of the anomaly. And because the power they sensed from this anomaly was Rank 9, even their true bodies were alarmed.
