Chapter 68 - Chapter 68: Reincarnation

"..."

There were no new missions. Only this prompt.

It seemed that reaching one million square meters marked a threshold—a watershed that would determine whether the Homeland Space would evolve or be destroyed.

The odds were clear: fifty percent success, fifty percent failure.

Hinata lightly tapped her chin in thought. "So… it can't proceed without making a sacrifice?"

Now wasn't the time to decide. The risk was too great. If she failed, the entire million-square-meter domain she'd built so painstakingly would vanish. Worse, she didn't know whether failure would harm her directly.

If she were to make that choice, she would rather wait until she was truly safe.

However, when she tried to exit the Homeland Space, she found she couldn't. The system had locked her in.

"Do I… have to choose now?" Hinata murmured, drumming her fingers anxiously on the console.

Reality didn't allow her time to hesitate. The situation outside was unstable. What if Akatsuki launched an attack while she was trapped here?

Taking a deep breath, Hinata made her choice. "Alright then—let's do this."

Her finger pressed the 'Sacrifice' button.

In an instant, the entire million-square-meter world trembled violently with a deep rumble.

The result appeared moments later—

Success.

Hinata's gamble had paid off.

The transformation began immediately. The entire world she had built—the houses, towers, and landscapes—crumbled into golden motes of light.

Everything dissolved… except for one thing.

The statue.

Her massive golden likeness remained standing, untouched, glowing brilliantly as if alive. The surrounding motes of light gathered toward it, spiraling into its core.

Suddenly, the statue emitted a powerful pull, dragging Hinata closer until she was pressed against its radiant surface.

The million-square-meter world shrank rapidly, compressing into a mere ten thousand. The new landscape was smooth and empty, and a small, elegant palace rose around the golden statue.

Hinata found herself seated upon the palace throne—motionless, dazed, and speechless.

Her once-grand home had vanished in an instant, leaving behind only this miniature world and an unsettling emptiness in her heart.

"Transformation into Supergravity Space complete. This is a subcategory of the Heavenly Guardian system."

Information surged into her mind—detailed instructions on how to access, manipulate, and survive in this new environment. The sheer volume of it made her groan aloud.

It took more than two hours before her thoughts finally settled.

"So… this space can now accommodate not just my consciousness, but my body too?" Hinata murmured, eyes narrowing in curiosity. "Or am I only in my conscious state now—unable to feel the supergravity's full effect?"

Her consciousness stirred, and she willed herself back into her physical body. Then, concentrating once more, she teleported into the Supergravity Space.

The instant she arrived, Hinata collapsed to the ground. The pressure was overwhelming—so intense that even her eyes, blood, and organs strained under the crushing force. Her hair and clothing were pinned down as if gravity itself had turned hostile.

She gasped, withdrawing immediately, eyes wide and chest heaving. The crushing weight of over three thousand pounds had nearly flattened her.

After hastily removing her weighted gear, she reentered the Supergravity Space. This time, she didn't fall—though her knees bent under the strain, and she could barely stand upright.

After a few short tests confirmed its feasibility, she exited the Supergravity Space and returned to her normal Homeland Space.

What greeted her was familiar—the same modest 100-square-meter plot she had started with, complete with the first mission: clearing weeds and constructing a house.

Understanding dawned.

The cycle from 100 to 1,000,000 square meters wasn't a one-time process—it was repetitive.

Each expansion brought new rewards, culminating in a sacrifice. Success led to transformation; failure reset everything.

Having figured this out, Hinata worked swiftly and efficiently.

Her first mission was completed almost instantly.

Reward: Enhanced Gentle Fist. When using the same amount of chakra, the technique's power increases by approximately 30%.

Then came the evaluation bonus:

"100 out of 100! Choose one: Enhanced Byakugan, Enhanced Neural Reflexes, or Enhanced Physical Strength."

Hinata smiled faintly. "Byakugan, of course."

But the system ignored her wish. The reward wheel spun automatically—and landed on Enhanced Strength instead.

She sighed softly. "Well… at least it's still useful."

Her Homeland Space expanded from 100 to 1,000 square meters, and a new mission appeared:

Reward: Twenty Gods Vacuum Strike — an advanced form of the Ten Gods Vacuum Strike.

Hinata's eyes widened in realization.

"So that's how it works!" she whispered. "Each cycle's rewards increase in quality. The Eighty Gods Vacuum Strike must be the final reward after completing all the cycles…"

It all made sense now.

Satisfied, Hinata exited the Homeland Space.

Her first domain had successfully transformed into a Supergravity Space, a real and physical dimension that her body could enter. The second cycle had just begun—and once it too reached one million square meters, she could attempt another sacrifice.

This time, perhaps an even greater transformation awaited.

The gains she'd acquired were astounding: one of the Tenseigan's abilities—Gravity and Repulsion, the space-time ninjutsu Yomotsu Hirasaka, the Supergravity Space, an enhanced Gentle Fist, and further improvements to her physical power.

Hinata clenched her fist and thrust her palm forward.

Even without chakra, the gust that erupted from her strike tore through the furniture around her.

"So strong…" she breathed in awe. Her strength had tripled—at least.

Taking a deep breath, Hinata packed her belongings.

With Yomotsu Hirasaka, she finally had a way to escape safely.

But now that she could leave… a new idea began to form in her mind.

Meanwhile, inside the Akatsuki's headquarters, tension filled the air.

"If this keeps up, she'll eat us into bankruptcy," Konan muttered, rubbing her temple. "We're hemorrhaging money."

Nagato remained silent, his eyes calm and calculating.

"Money can always be earned again," he said at last. "But the Ten-Tails' chakra is limited. Once it's spent, it's gone forever. Let's wait a little longer. The sealing formation is nearly ready. Have Hidan prepare himself—when the battle begins, everyone will strike at once. No matter what, we must obtain at least one drop of Hinata's blood. Once that's secured, she won't be able to escape, even if she burns through all her chakra."

Suddenly, the air warped—and Obito stepped out of the Kamui dimension, his voice low and grim.

"She's gone," he said. "Hinata escaped. Kisame and Kakuzu are already chasing her."

Nagato and Konan exchanged glances. Without a word, Konan's paper wings unfurled, scattering into countless sheets as she vanished from the room.

Nagato exhaled slowly, his expression darkening. Then, with a wave of his hand, the Six Paths of Pain began to move.

Obito's Sharingan swirled once more—and his form dissolved back into Kamui.

The hunt for Hinata Hyuga had begun.

Rain poured relentlessly over Amegakure, the droplets shimmering under the dim light of its towering steel structures. Amidst the storm, Hinata and Kisame clashed fiercely—both sent flying backward by the force of their own strikes.

Before she could regain balance, Kakuzu appeared behind her, his arm hardening with Earth Release. He swung his fist with deadly precision. But Hinata's Byakugan had already seen through his movement. Unable to counter in mid-air, she rotated swiftly—chakra flaring from every tenketsu point around her body.

"Eight Trigrams Palms Revolving Heaven!"

The shockwave exploded outward. Hinata was hurled backward by the impact, but Kakuzu was also thrown off his feet, his hardened body crashing through the wall of a nearby building.

As the rain fell harder, more shadows appeared—each wearing the infamous black cloak adorned with red clouds.

In seconds, Hinata was surrounded.
