Two more days passed by in a flash, and an event that got the first-years excited had been scheduled.
[Class 1-E]
"It's fresher's party!!!" Jose hollered, hands waving in the air. Although his behavior drew the displeasure of most girls, none bothered to complain.
Beside him, Eric, a like-minded perverted person, smirked.
"Of course. I can't wait to show off my muscles. Girls will be clamoring for me."
Unfortunately, despite their wild enthusiasm, the fresher's party wasn't going to start until 6 o'clock in the evening. And worse, classes were still going to hold.
"Ahn, so annoying," Kiera complained, pouting angrily. She was a relatively popular girl in the class, holding the position of leader among the girls.
"You mean them?" Her friend, Kim, scowled while glancing at Jose and Eric.
Kiera's red eyes darkened. "They're not even trying to conceal their intentions. Rude."
Several girls sitting around her echoed in agreement, showing their dislike for the duo.
Hearing this, Liam smiled wryly, then walked up to the duo. He pulled them into a close circle and gently whispered.
"I know you're excited, but could you please keep it down? You'd risk the girls hating you."
Jose flailed his head left and right as if warding off a curse.
"No! The girls can't hate me. I'll keep quiet."
Eric nodded in agreement.
"Yes. My popularity must not drop."
When the two quietly quit their discussion, everyone realized that Liam must have cautioned them. And this simple action made the girls like him more.
"Liam is just so considerate." One whispered to her neighbor.
"Kyaa! I think I'm in love." Another muttered to herself, eyes shining.
At the back of the class, Hazel shook her head at the scene.
"They're behaving like kids." She muttered to herself.
Unexpectedly, someone heard her and asked, "Do you think they should behave like adults?"
Turning to the speaker, she glared at Ariel Hilton, her desk neighbor.
"Being a teenager means you're growing closer to maturity."
Unfazed, Ariel calmly answered his own question. "Unfortunately, without a sense of responsibility, a teenager can never truly become an adult."
Hazel went silent, realizing how true his words were.
'They don't have a sense of responsibility. What about me?' She asked herself. 'Does desiring my father's approval count as a responsibility?'
Ariel's eyes never left her as she pondered, his own mind calculating.
'The probability that she has a secret desire or drive is 100% confirmed. Though I'm not sure how valid it is...'

At this moment, the door slid open and Instructor Ramon entered, starting today's classes with Mathematical Science.
.....
During lunch break, Kaiser brought out his lunch; boiled rice and spicy sauce with some monster meat, then quietly began eating.
"You cook?"
Suddenly, the girl to his left spoke, surprising him. This was the first time she had spoken to him.
'Hmn? What was her name again?'
Emily White.
A black-haired girl with the look of a female delinquent. Definitely troublesome. She looked at his lunch with surprise, the faint aroma attracting her attention.
Kaiser ignored her, pretending he didn't hear her speak to him. People hated being ignored; if she found him uninteresting, she'd give up.
Unfortunately...
"You are quite proud. Muu, aren't you going to answer me?"
Putting on a mock-cute expression, she pouted.
'Goodness gracious… Now I'm being misunderstood. What's with girls and jumping to conclusions?'
He sighed, then turned to her with an innocent expression.
"Were you talking to me? My bad."
Emily shook her head vigorously. "No need. I was just surprised seeing homemade food from a guy. It's quite rare."
So this was what happened. She simply found the idea of a guy cooking surprising. Kaiser slowly realized this.
"It's normal." He said shortly, ready to return to his meal.
Unfortunately...
"Sorry but it seems I don't quite remember your name. You are...?"
Kaiser deadpanned, then said casually.
"Kaiser. Kaiser Solace."
With a nod, Emily smiled, then got up from her seat.
"Alright, Kaiser. Enjoy your meal."
She quickly left the class with Kiera's group, definitely heading to the cafeteria.
'Haa… thank goodness she wasn't pestering.'
If she had been, he might have garnered some attention. After all, his cooking skills were indeed far above excellent. He could rival even top chefs in the world. In the clan, every skill, mundane or not, was taught. Even if only to possess basic knowledge in it, they had to learn it. Compared to Miel, though, he wasn't good enough.
Without any more disturbance, lunch break ended peacefully. Classes resumed as usual and before long, the school period was over.
Ring~
Students quickly returned to the dorms, eager to prepare for the night party. Unenthusiastic about such a boring activity, Kaiser made his way to the school library. As a fan of books and history, he was naturally willing to gain more knowledge.
'Oh? This library is really large.'
Inside, rows and rows of books lined the towering shelves, ladders resting on each section.
At the reception table, Kaiser was met by an equally boring middle-aged lady who stared at him with unblinking eyes.
Silence stretched between them for a few minutes before the woman finally spoke.
"Interesting kid."
She scribbled something on a scrap of paper, then gave it to him. Kaiser collected the paper and quietly left her presence without a word. On the paper were four words:
Novels—Section C
History—Section F
With calm and silent steps, he made his way to Section F. Although he had prior knowledge of the world's history and the history of all the countries and nations, it was still interesting reading another version.
And thus, he picked a few books like 'What was Africa?', 'Transformation of Asia', and made his way to the reading corner where a few students were reading quietly.
Sitting at a solitary corner, he became engrossed in reading. An hour passed like a blur, before he noticed someone approaching him.
"Sorry to disturb you, but are you reading 'The Forgotten Shore'?"
Raising his head, Kaiser looked at the girl before him. She had flowing light pink hair and gentle green eyes. A cute pair of round glasses rested on her nose, giving her a scholarly look.
'Eh? She probably doesn't even need the glasses anymore.'
Yet, she kept it even after awakening. This showed her genuine love for books and her scholarly attitude.
Kaiser merely processed all these in a single instance, then replied.
"Indeed. Is there a problem?" He asked, a little confused.
With wide eyes, the girl expressed her astonishment. "Ah? You can actually understand and translate this language?"
Kaiser deadpanned, realizing the situation. While he was lost in his reading, he had picked up 'The Forgotten Shore', a book that was written in Latin; a language that had been lost in history.
Although he was trained to understand all languages, ordinary people didn't have access to such a privilege.
'Haa… no wonder she was so surprised,' He thought. 'Now, how should I deflect this situation? Should I pretend to be confused and say I was just skimming it?'
He shook his head internally.
'No. She wouldn't believe. She must have seen me reading it. Then, I guess a little bit of truth and lie should work...'
"Not really. Just a bit."
He said vaguely. With this, the girl would believe that although he could read it, he didn't have extensive knowledge on the language. Thus, she'd be disappointed and walk awa—
"Wow! That's actually amazing. Being able to even decipher a bit is a great feat."
She said as she sat beside him, her eyes brimming with energy.
"The language in this book… it was spoken in the era before the First Awakening. Back when the world didn't have the Nirad System. They say those who can understand the history… are either remnants of the old world, or…" She paused, studying his eyes. "…or destined to rewrite it."
Her words made him pause briefly, but he dismissed it. Perhaps it was just a rich, mysterious rumor cooked up by some old fogeys.
'Oh well… looks like she's very enthusiastic about books, huh?'
Kaiser deadpanned.
