He was lying. His hands had the calluses specific to skilled workers who frequently operated complex machinery, and his eyes when mentioning machines held a confidence that his words were trying to hide.
But he didn't say much, turning his head to look at Alex, asking with his eyes if he had any other questions. Alex shook his head; he trusted Wood's judgment.
He was thinking about the demon hand matter. He originally thought that with Glen burning those two souls, this matter was over. Who knew that after such a short time, such a thing would happen again, dragging in plots of stealing weapons.
