Chapter 61 - His Secret

"What crime has he committed that he should be doomed to a life alone? We know what that's like. Do you really think he deserves that?"

He deflated a little more, "I'm not saying he deserves it but I am saying the rest don't deserve to die because you decided to take the relationship past friendship."

"Look. We have already told a few people we were thinking about faking a relationship to get people off our backs and prevent another Star. We can say it's an act for our own sanity."

Dobin sighed, feeling defeated. His sister was lost already.

"In other news, I did want to talk to you about something. I was thinking about how the trees say sometimes stronger beasts appear and they use weak beasts to delay hunters," she looked to Blaine, "can we use Kyle as a codename to indicate me leaving to go address it while the others fight the current battle?"

"Why Kyle?" Dobin asked, "that sounds specific."

"It's Blaine's middle name," Lana lied.

Blaine went and sealed the entrance. He returned to Lana's side, "I won't let you lie to you Twin to protect my secrets."

Blaine looked at Dobin, "you'll probably hate me more but take a seat. And open your ears and mind."

Lana tensed up, "Blaine, this isn't a good idea…"

He looked her in the eyes, "he insists."

Lana closed her eyes and breathed deeply. "It's your secret. It's not my place to stop you…"

He wrapped his arms around her, "he's your twin. He wants you to be safe. You've been through so much and you just escaped."

Dobin was still standing there watching them.

"Take a seat, Dobin. He won't talk until you do."

Dobin decided to listen to them both and sat at the foot of their bed. Blaine picked up Lana princess-style and carried her over. He set her in his lap before warning Dobin.

"I will not be the one telling you this story. I will allow my own twin to explain."

Without even waiting for a response, Kyle took over his body. "It's nice to meet you, Dobin. I'm Kyle."

Dobin was confused. "So Blaine and Kyle are the same person, why are you calling yourself your twin? I've heard enough. Come on Lana, we are leaving."

"Sit, Dobin." Lana glared at him. "You wanted answers. Sit your ass down and LISTEN!" She was so angry he was dismissive, she wanted to punch him.

"I'm sorry he reacted that way, Kyle. He doesn't have my skill to see that there are two of you in there. Please. Explain this to him."

"Two?" Dobin paused and sat back down in spite of himself, "you mean like multiple personalities?"

Kyle chuckled, "you two are so different. Before I speak, My Lana is a little chilly. Can you grab that blanket she put there, behind you?"

Dobin handed it to her and Kyle took it and wrapped her up. She placed her teeth on her bottom lip. They were both so thoughtful, she felt lucky.

Kyle then told Dobin about why there were two people in his body and their plans to move one of them to a new one.

"So, one of you could go home like nothing happened and the other could be with my sister," Dobin suggested.

Kyle nodded, "that is an option if we can find the ability."

Dobin relaxed a little, "so really, we need to prepare for the worst but pray for the best here."

They both nodded.

"Which do you prefer, Lana?"

She shrugged, "I can't say yet. We are still in the getting-to-know-you phase. It's also not fair because Kyle tells Blaine to do things sometimes and it looks like it just came from Blaine. I can say Kyle's energy is more … magnetic."

Dobin nodded then looked to Kyle, "you better treat her right." With that he got up and let himself out.

Lana chuckled once he was gone, "he didn't say anything about you calling me "My Lana." Perhaps on one hand he's already accepted us?"

"Well, he knows the truth about Blaine and I so now maybe he and I could get to know one another. I'd really like that."

Lana smiled, "me too. Are you tired? I'd like to go to bed."

He chuckled, "already?"

"Arguing with him is always exhausting."

He nodded, taking the blanket off her. "Did you buy a bunch more blankets for yourself?"

She chuckled, "just the one. Others wanted blankets and I couldn't resist."

He stood her up and pulled back the top of the bedroll which was more like a high-end sleeping bag, and helped her slide in. He then removed everything but his PT shorts, picked up the small box he placed by the pillow and climbed in next to her.

"Do you need the blanket now?"

She shook her head, "I'm cozy with you next to me."

"Good. Now close our eyes and open your mouth," he said with a smile.

She did and he placed a small chocolate on her tongue. She closed her mouth and let out a small gasp as the flavor seemed to take over her senses. "What kind of chocolate is this?"

"It's one of many gourmet brands. They only come four in a box."

"Four? That's criminal!"

Kyle laughed, "want another?"

She smiled, "just one. You eat the other two.

He chuckled, "I bought them for you!"

She leaned over, pulled one from the box and put it between her lips. She then motioned for him to come closer. They kissed, sharing the chocolate pieces. Soon they were gone and Lana wanted sleep. She had a full day and just wanted to keep her eyes closed for a while. Kyle happily watched her sleep. Eventually he lay next to her and wrapped his arm tightly around her.

As dawn broke, Lana woke in a very good mood. She rolled over and brushed the hair out of Kyle's face and smiled at how peaceful he looked. He slowly opened his eyes and smiled. She couldn't resist and kissed him, moving closer. She realized he had another problem and took care of it while they kissed. The tree told her Dobin was on the way down and soon was in their room. She finished taking care of Kyle then got the bowl for him. She intentionally flashed her panties to Dobin to show she was still dressed. Blaine washed himself up a bit upset that he was left to take care of this since he got none of the pleasure to go with the mess.

Soon, he was in front of Dobin who was having a glaring contest with his sister.

"First-off, this is our bedroom until we open it up in the morning. Please respect that privacy. Second, I'm not going to touch her in the way you're so concerned about until she can tell us both that she loves us. We come as a package deal unless we can somehow change our circumstances. I understand you being protective but I'm not that reckless."

"I don't want to lose my sister," Dobin growled softly. The door was still open and he didn't want to risk betraying the secrets his sister had been keeping. Betraying her was the last thing he wanted but felt she needed to be protected from herself. Blaine was the first man other than him who was nice to her. He was afraid Blaine would use her innocence and lack of experience against her.

Blaine smiled, "you haven't lost your sister. You've gained two brothers. This is new for us both, to be honest. My own family doesn't feel like family. You've had her all to yourself for your whole lives. Now, you need to share. I understand. Kyle and I argue all the time over who gets Lana…"

Dobin sighed.

Blaine looked him in the eyes, "now. She needs to get washed up and get dressed before we start our day. If you'd like, I'll step out with you."

Looking defeated, Dobin nodded, "let's grab breakfast and set the table. We can eat once she's ready."

Blaine nodded and used telekinesis to grab everything and soon the table was set. They all sat around talking about the day before and the delicious food Lana purchased. Soon, she emerged looking happy and refreshed.

"Did everyone sleep well?" she asked as she sat down.

Kattie spoke first, "we actually had room! Star took up half the room leaving the other half for the two of us and Sven. It was also quieter. I'm glad she's gone."

"I'll drink to that!" Blaine said as he lifted his glass of water. Everyone smiled, clinked glasses and took a drink.

Dobin sat next to her and put food on his fork. He turned to his sister, "to family!"

They touched their forks together and they took the bite. Just as she placed the fork in her mouth, she froze. She sat there for a moment then went into action. She back flipped from the table to get out of there quicker then stared at the tree.

She said firmly as if she were mentally arguing and felt she needed to speak aloud to make her point final. "Hook me from that direction up above!" She paused for a moment then somersaulted to the nearest branch to gain momentum. The branch grabbed her and tossed her up. She was caught by another branch and tossed once more. Finally she was running along the branches which should not have been able to hold her weight but were somehow. Everyone at the table then sprung into action.
