It was clearly still morning, with the sunlight only just piercing through the windows to illuminate the suspended dust particles, yet there were already quite a few people sitting inside the tavern. Most of them had come to the tavern to have breakfast to recharge for a hard day's work.
If in the past, patrons came to the tavern mainly to find someone to chat with and drink a few glasses of cheap liquor to drown their sorrows, then ever since the Red Maple Leaf Tavern created a few new dishes following a secret recipe, the number of people coming specifically just to eat had visibly increased.
Obviously, the tavern still used the familiar ingredients of flour and minced meat as before, but the baked bread turned out significantly softer and fluffier, tearing apart as spongy as cotton. The prepared dishes were also much more richly seasoned; the thick, fragrant reddish-brown meat sauce, when dipped with bread, was truly a masterpiece.
