Although the appearance of the sea monster was outside of Jasmine's plan, after confirming that this type of dangerous beast, while fond of attacking humans, would not easily come ashore without a high tide, Jasmine felt slightly reassured.
After weighing the options, she still felt that she could not easily give up such a source of sea salt. Salt was an important resource for survival. At worst, they would be a bit more careful, arrange for guards to keep a strict watch, or change the location for boiling seawater to a safer place, one that was sheltered from the wind and a bit further away from the monster's lair.
