Following the plot, Aurion Laocard will awaken the Pendragon ancestral genes. Bo Wu Lan will also improve her skills. In the final confrontation, Di Shan will use the Gin Ryu Kai to kill Aurion right in front of Bo Wu's eyes. This will cause Bo Wu to mentally break.
Damn it, I can't even come up with a plan that won't get me exposed. I was cycling through phone passwords while trying to figure out how to kill that bastard. My hands ran through my messy hair. God, oh God! Please!
Knock – knock
"Master Sven, you are called for dinner," Yerkar's voice came from behind the door.
"Okay, thanks!" I shouted back.
I got to my feet and headed downstairs to the massive dining table. Mom, Dad, my brother, and my sister were already there. I took my seat, noticing they had finally cleared the tension, though the awkwardness still lingered. Dinner was turkey with vegetables.
I still hadn't figured out a plan against Di Shan. Maybe I should just defect to his side? No, that would be too pathetic.
"We've hired a magic tutor for you, but you must continue your sword practice as well," my father, Arthur, said.
"Understood, Father," I replied. This was a good chance to get stronger.
"After dinner, I will give you the Tower Statue," Arthur added.
He was right. I needed it to see which other classes I synergized with. After the meal, Father led me to his study. It looked like a library, though smaller. The shelves held not only books but also important state documents. In the center stood a large desk with a computer, and to the right of the entrance stood a massive statue of a beautiful fairy, her body adorned with carved roses.
"Embrace it," Father said with total seriousness.
It was strange, but I was used to the game logic by now. I wrapped my arms around the stone fairy's hips. The world went dark. Then, something indescribable happened: all my abilities manifested directly in my mind.

Before I could even process it, the path for my future growth was already clear in my head.
Level 1 Skills:
Cantrip: Awakened Mind
Trait: Pact Boon
Patron Feature [???]
I tapped "Patron Feature" with my finger.
Available Spells:
Hex
Unseen Servant
Shadow Flurry
What should I pick? I can learn Hex on my own since it's a 1st-level spell. Unseen Servant acts as a 2nd-level utility and is extremely useful. It's better to pick an advanced skill first; I can learn the basics later. As for Shadow Flurry? I'm not sure how to use it. Does it summon a swarm of shadow souls? Or a barrage of shadow strikes? Too vague.
Unseen Servant (Conjuration):
Summons a shapeless, medium-sized entity to perform simple tasks. If the servant moves more than 60 feet away, it vanishes.

Unseen Servant ...
The list continued with 32 more spells. I scrolled until I hit the 'H's: Gai's Hand, Hadar's Arm, and there—Hex.
Hex (Divination):
You curse a target within your line of sight. You can sense how close the target is and whether they are still alive.

The Awakening
My body was thrown back from the statue, my head throbbing. Father grabbed my arm to steady me.
"Are you alright?"
"My head hurts," I groaned.
"That's a good sign. Headaches are normal," he said, pulling me to his shoulder to help me walk.
"I didn't finish filling the slots..."
"That means your brain reached its limit. This is your peak for now." Father laid me down on my bed. "So, what are your new traits and skills?"
"Trait: Pact Boon. Skills: Awakened Mind and Patron Feature."
"Pact Boon is a powerful trait—too powerful, I'd say. Patron Feature is standard. But what is 'Awakened Mind'?"
"From what I understand, I can transmit thoughts to any creature within 20 feet, as long as they know at least one language."
"That is also a formidable ability." Father gave me an evaluative look. "Does your head still hurt badly?"
"Yes."
"Rest then. I'll get you some pills."
Without moving, he pulled a remote-like artifact from his pocket and pressed a few buttons. Moments later, Yerkar entered the room with medication and a glass of water. After taking the pills, I drifted off to sleep.
