"Who wants to come up first?"
The moment this question was asked, nearly every one of Simon's classmates turned and looked at him.
After asking so many questions, getting a compliment from Researcher Mahan, and being the center of attention, everybody expected him to be the first to step out.
They thought he'd be eager, and even Researcher Mahan and Instructor Valdin thought Simon would be the first to step out.
But to their surprise, Simon stood with his arms folded and did not move an inch.
He calmly and indifferently stared at the laboratory bed, completely ignoring the gazes of his classmates, the class instructor, and the researcher.
'You expect me to be the first to step out? Absolutely not. I cannot 100% believe the words of Researcher Mahan where he said that they no longer have cases of death because of multiple advancements in their research.'
'Somebody else can step up and allow me to observe everything. Not me.'
