Chapter 24 - The Disappearance of Miyahiko

After Miya Harukiko arrived home, seeing the divorce agreement left in the entryway, she still felt a sense of loss.

Even at this point, she couldn't believe her marriage would end this way.

Kiko touched her face; the events of that night were still vivid, and the burning pain seemed to reappear on her cheek.

Fortunately, it wasn't too late to start over...

The next day, Fujiwara Shunsui didn't wake until late morning.

The sunlight from outside pierced his eyes; Harumizu abruptly opened them, then squeezed them shut again, a headache following.

His body felt like it was filled with lead, and the soreness in his lower back made him realize, as he tried to stretch, that he had slept on the sofa.

The air still carried faint traces of alcohol, smoke, and even a hint of sweet fragrance.

When Harumizu's consciousness fully returned, he turned his head, and with a blink, noticed that the house was already as tidy as it had been before.

A glass of water was sitting on the coffee table.

Fujiwara Shunsui drank it all, discovering it was honey water.

The slightly sweet honey water reawakened his taste buds.

Judging by the temperature, it must have been left out for a long time, as it was already cold.

But Harumizu didn't mind; he was already very satisfied to have a glass of pre-cooled honey water after a hangover.

In his previous life, many of his colleagues didn't have such good treatment after a hangover.

Opening his phone, Fujiwara Shunsui first saw a text message.

A message from last night:

Kojou Yuna: [Kiko-chan is a very good person; don't bully her!]

Harumizu was truly clueless now.

He subconsciously pulled down his pants and glanced, as if thinking about something.

"My clothes are also yesterday's clothes; I didn't take them off!"

The thing he was most worried about before dinner had still happened.

"How could I black out?"

After refocusing his eyes, Harumizu realized he really hadn't seen wrong.

Ojo actually called Kiko "older sister"!

Although you two got along well last night, isn't it a bit too fast to call each other sisters so quickly?

Harumizu vaguely remembered being surrounded by two women last night, having a great time!

Could it be that it wasn't a dream!?

Harumizu once again pulled down his pants and looked down.

"That shouldn't be the case, should it?"

With this doubt, Harumizu went to take a shower after quenching his thirst.

While showering, he repeatedly recalled what exactly happened last night.

In the end, he came to a conclusion: he definitely didn't do anything!

It must be like this!

He remembered that Nissho Taro was still by his side before he got too drunk, and he couldn't possibly do such things in front of Risho; this was a deep-seated restraint in his soul!

But even so, Harumizu still opened his [love rent collection system] to take a look.

After all, he had reconfirmed the system's "beastly" nature last night.

If he had a physical relationship without a love mission, the system would definitely react.

He checked if he had missed any system prompts, but his attributes and other aspects hadn't changed much.

This further confirmed Harumizu's own deduction.

A few minutes later, Fujiwara Shunsui was completely revived.

A hot shower was simply one of humanity's greatest inventions, solving more than half of his hangover headache.

Harumizu lay greedily on his bed.

His night on the sofa had left him sleeping in a curled-up state, so back pain and soreness were normal.

But now, being able to stretch his body out on the bed, this feeling was incredibly refreshing.

Fujiwara Shunsui picked up his phone on the bed and edited a text message.

Fujiwara Shunsui: ["How could I bully Kiko-chan! I wouldn't even dare to bully you! (● ̄(エ) ̄●)"]

After sending it, Harumizu tossed his phone aside, preparing to doze off again...

When Fujiwara Shunsui regained consciousness again, it was almost dark outside.

Harumizu closed his eyes and fumbled for his phone beside him.

He opened the screen; it was 6:01 PM.

Harumizu struggled to get up; he had slept too comfortably, so much so that he had completely forgotten the time.

Walking out of the bedroom, Harumizu immediately felt something was wrong.

His brows furrowed, and he instantly sobered up.

Harumizu softly called out in the house: "Kiko? Kiko?"

Seeing the living room layout exactly as it was when he woke up at noon, and the glass of honey water he had drunk still on the coffee table, a bad premonition welled up in his heart.

Walking to Kiko's room door, Harumizu symbolically knocked and called out: "Kiko, are you home?"

Actually, before his voice faded, Harumizu opened the door and walked in.

The room was tidy, and it still had Kiko's favorite perfume scent.

Opening the wardrobe, none of Kiko's clothes were missing.

This didn't seem like a case of leaving without a word.

That bad premonition became clearer and clearer.

Harumizu first picked up his phone and sent a message to Kojou Yuna.

Fujiwara Shunsui: ["Kiko is missing."]

Immediately after, he called Nissho Taro.

"Taro, come to my place."

It was also during this interval that Fujiwara Shunsui opened the system interface.

He allocated all five free attribute points he had just acquired to Intelligence.

[Personal Attributes: Strength 8, Agility 6, Intelligence 7, Charisma 5, Luck 2]

[Free Attribute Points: 0]

He wanted to use this method to think if he had missed any details.

Half an hour later, the three appeared at the same dining table again.

Only, last night there were four people, and tonight, one was missing.

"Is Miyaharuni-san perhaps feeling a bit embarrassed, so she left without saying goodbye?"

Nissho Taro brought up the situation Harumizu had first denied.

Before Harumizu could speak, the usually calm Ojo spoke first: "That's unlikely. I talked a lot with Kiko-chan last night, and she was very happy. She doesn't seem like someone who would leave without a word."

"Moreover, looking at the bedroom, it seems she didn't take anything. Even her phone charger is still there. It's even less likely she would just disappear without a trace."

After Kojou Yuna finished speaking, Harumizu took over the conversation, his expression serious: "The most important problem now is that Kiko's phone has been off, which is too abnormal."

Nissho Taro rubbed his bald head, saying with some confusion: "What era is this? Surely no one would kidnap someone! Harumizu-sama, are you overthinking it?"

This sentence was like a flash of lightning that enlightened Fujiwara Shunsui.

He immediately turned to Kojou Yuna and said: "Try to investigate Mino Hisashi's recent whereabouts, and also go to Takahashi Kazuma's hospital to understand his movements.

Risho, you go check the surveillance cameras and see if there's anything suspicious?"

Fragmented information, when interwoven, could form a complete chain of information.

It was just that Harumizu was currently missing "key" information.

The two of them had clearly never seen such a strategic Harumizu.

After a brief moment of stunned silence, they both assented and headed out the door.

Just as Ojo reached the entryway, she inadvertently noticed something different from yesterday.

The divorce agreement was gone.

She turned and asked Harumizu behind her: "Did you take the divorce agreement from here?"

Harumizu immediately caught the key information.

He shouted to Nissho Taro, who had already walked out the door: "Get the car! We're going to Takahashi Kazuma's hospital!"

It must be this way.

Kiko, wanting to completely bid farewell to the past, must have gone to find Takahashi Kazuma early in the morning, but apparently encountered some problems.

Half an hour later, the group appeared in Takahashi Kazuma's hospital room.

Due to Kojou Yuna personally handling many issues, including Takahashi Kazuma's hospitalization fees and a series of other expenses, in the private room, Takahashi Kazuma was lying in bed, flirting with a female nurse.

He was stunned for a moment when the door to the room opened, then, upon realizing who the visitors were, he was about to shout loudly when Harumizu stopped him.

"If you shout, I don't mind cutting out your tongue."

Facing this plague, he believed the other party was capable of doing it.

So the words at his lips were swallowed back down.

Harumizu also had no time to care about his relationship with the nurse.

The nurse, being sensible, lowered her head and fled the room, because at this moment, Fujiwara Shunsui's oppressive presence was too strong.

"I ask, you answer!"

Takahashi Kazuma, sitting on the bed, didn't speak, but his head nodded frantically like a woodpecker.

"Kiko came to see you this morning?"

Hearing the man in front of him call his wife's name like that, a hint of disgust flashed across Takahashi Kazuma's face, which was filled with fear.

He reconfirmed his judgment: his wife indeed had an affair with this man.

Of course, he didn't dare to show it.

He just shook his head.

"Kiko didn't come to see you today?"

Fujiwara Shunsui didn't hear the answer he wanted, and his tone became heavier as he took two steps towards the bed.

Seeing such a posture, Takahashi Kazuma quickly spoke up: "Since I was hospitalized until now, she hasn't come to see me once! She no longer cares about me, her husband!"

"So I don't care about her affairs. Whether she lives or dies, I don't care! Please don't come looking for me again!"

"As for other issues, I have already negotiated with Ojo-san. Please don't disturb my life anymore!"

Takahashi Kazuma on the bed looked at Kojou Yuna behind Harumizu and bravely responded loudly.

Although he didn't know what had happened, as long as the other party's affairs weren't going smoothly, he would feel great.

Not to mention, what he said was the truth; he hadn't seen Miya Harukiko for a long time.

Thinking of his wife, Takahashi Kazuma couldn't help but compare her to the little nurse who had just fled.

He thought: "My own trained bitch is still better!"

Although he didn't know what the other party was thinking, Harumizu looked at Takahashi Kazuma's face, and a deep-seated disgust arose from his heart.

Harumizu's entire face appeared exceptionally gloomy.

"You bastard."

Seeing someone dare to contradict Fujiwara Shunsui so loudly, Nissho Taro behind him immediately rushed forward, grabbed Takahashi Kazuma's hair, and slapped him twice.

Harumizu didn't bother to deal with Takahashi Kazuma; instead, Taro's two slaps made him calm down again.

"What exactly did I miss?"

Harumizu was thinking, and the sound of slaps in his ears hadn't stopped.

Takahashi Kazuma's muffled cries filled the entire room.

Nissho Taro only knew one thing now: the person in front of him deserved a beating.

Suddenly, Harumizu thought of something, something he had overlooked.

"Stop, don't hit him anymore."

Looking at Takahashi Kazuma, who was once again beaten into a pig's head, Fujiwara Shunsui walked forward and asked: "Can you still speak?"

"You... how... can you do this?"

Hearing Takahashi Kazuma articulate relatively clearly, Harumizu immediately followed up: "Do the people in your Association/Club know about your hospitalization?"

"The other day... after Ojo-san and I settled the compensation... I chose to resign... Besides the manager and the president, no one else should... should know, right?"

"But... I'm not pursuing the matter of my injury anymore. I've already used most of the money to pay off my debts. If you ask me for money now, I can't give it to you."

Takahashi Kazuma thought Harumizu wanted to ask him to return his compensation, and he started speaking more articulately.

Fujiwara Shunsui clearly felt his thoughts becoming clearer.

Now there could only be two possibilities for Miya Harukiko's disappearance.

One was: Kiko wanted to leave Shinjuku and completely bid farewell to Harumizu.

But this possibility was almost zero.

The other was: someone had targeted Kiko, and it might even be people from the Mino Trading Company!

"Ojo, go investigate the detailed background of the Mino Trading Company, and at the same time, find out Mino Hisashi's whereabouts in the past few days. Be quick!"

"Taro, you go mobilize the Association/Club members and tell all families and Syndicates in Shinjuku that Miya Harukiko is a member of the Sankou-gumi."

"Announce publicly that whoever can find her, the Sankou-gumi will offer five million Japanese Yen as a reward!"

Checking the time on his phone, Fujiwara Shunsui was unsure if Miya Harukiko was still safe at this moment.

He could only escalate the situation in the fastest way possible.

Soon, Miya Harukiko's photo and the Sankou-gumi's public declaration spread throughout the various group chats of Shinjuku's underground world.

"Who's this girl? She's quite attractive!"

"Her figure is really good, no wonder the Sankou-gumi is looking for her everywhere."

"If I could have a good time with her, it would be worth dying for."

"Be careful what you say!"

"That five million must be mine!"

...At this moment, in a luxurious hotel, a woman was in bed.

Inside the room, a strong old man, naked from the waist up, had just finished showering.

He was Mino Hisashi.

Looking at the woman on the bed making muffled sounds, the old man revealed a perverse sneer.

Walking forward, the old man's slightly rough fingers traced the woman's cheek, finally resting on her trembling lips.

Her lips were already somewhat chapped.

The old man's fingers continued from her lips, down her neck, abdomen, and then tightly pinched the flesh on the inside of her thigh.

The woman groaned in pain.

Mino Hisashi seemed to particularly enjoy the struggles of his prey.

...The woman wanted to struggle and resist, but ultimately chose to give up, as if accepting her fate.

Mino Hisashi whispered in her ear: "You knew this would happen the day I asked you to accompany me on a business trip, didn't you? Shouldn't you have been prepared early, you slut!"

A tear fell from the corner of the woman's eye.

...Next door, two muscular men repeatedly checked a photo on their phones.

"Is it her?"

"It's her!"

"What should we do?"

One of them looked nervously at Miya Harukiko, who was still unconscious on the bed.

They didn't know that they had, as usual, helped the president tie up a "negotiated" married woman, but this time it seemed they had caused big trouble!

Because the Sankou-gumi was searching the entire city for someone, and that person was lying perfectly intact on the bed behind them!
