A violent clang echoed across the arena, followed by a shockwave that rippled outward like a tidal wave. Dust and shattered stone lifted into the air as two blurred figures flashed from one end of the arena to the other, their swords colliding again in a burst of grey light.
A disciple at the front instinctively staggered back, his face pale.
"I cannot see them at all anymore!"
Another disciple beside him squinted desperately, his eyes darting across the arena as more explosions rang out. "I am at the sixth level and I still cannot track their movements!"
A third disciple clenched his fists, his voice trembling as another shockwave swept past them. "If we were standing in that arena we would not even survive a single exchange."
From slightly farther back, someone swallowed hard as cracks spread across the stone floor under yet another collision. "They are on a completely different level."
