Eric let out an incredulous laugh.
"Over a four-minute video."
He stood up, opened the video editor, and loaded the next file.
Time to work.
The thirty thousand dollars he'd handed the gang was everything both channels had earned over the previous days.
This was the second time Eric had received that kind of money.
The first time the system paid him ten thousand.
And between gifts for his family and a few things for himself, he'd burned through almost all of it. What little remained had gone straight into Susana's hospital bill.
Now Eric was literally broke.
THOR – Part 2
The timeline appeared in fragments.
Barton. Thor failing to lift the hammer. Thor getting captured.
Loki's visit. The deception.
Eric smiled, tired but energized.
He sat up straighter.
His fingers started moving.
"Part two," he said.
....
The morning started too normal.
People thinking it would just be another day.
And then, without warning, Marvel Studios uploaded something new.
THOR – Part 2
(Marvel Studios)
No flashy thumbnail. Just the title.
The video began…
Thor infiltrating the SHIELD camp in the least conventional way possible.
— SERIOUSLY NOBODY CAN STOP HIM LMAO
— HE'S JUST A MORTAL NOW, I DON'T EVEN WANT TO IMAGINE HIM WITH HIS DIVINE POWERS BACK
— LMAOOO THE GOVERNMENT MUST BE EMBARRASSED
Thor walked toward the crater.
The hammer was there. Immovable. Waiting for him… or judging him.
The camera didn't rush. It let the scene breathe. Let the viewer feel the weight of the moment.
Then the angle changed. An agent up high, still, precise.
Bow drawn.
Clint Barton.
Nobody knew his name.
— WHO IS THAT GUY?
— WHY IS HE AIMING AT HIM?
— IS HE A SOLDIER OR A HUNTER?
Thor tried to lift the hammer.
Once. Twice. Three times. Nothing.
The silence hurt.
The internet started to shift in its seat.
— WHY ISN'T IT WORKING?
— WASN'T HE A GOD?
The scene didn't drag on. Just long enough for the viewer to understand the unthinkable.
HE WASN'T WORTHY.
Thor dropped to his knees as he was arrested.
And then… Loki appeared.
The conversation was intimate. Close. Too real to be "YouTube cinema."
— WITH BROTHERS LIKE THAT WHO NEEDS ENEMIES LMAOOO
Loki lied.
And the audience knew it.
Thor listened to every word… and something inside him cracked without any special effects.
One side reacted with contained fury. Another with something like relief.
— Thor was always the heir. Loki was just the tie to peace with the Frost Giants.
— You can't love equally and treat so differently.
The other side responded calmly, with context.
— Love doesn't always mean knowing how to do it right.
— Odin protected him from Asgard's hatred.
— Loki wasn't chosen for the throne, but he was chosen to live.
— Thor was visible; Loki was protected in silence.
Someone typed a line that got repeated far more than expected:
— "Just because they didn't prepare you to rule doesn't mean they didn't love you."
And of course, there was always that one troll:
— NICE SPEECH BUT LOKI'S NOT WORTHY EITHER LMAO LOOK AT HIM TRYING TO LIFT THE HAMMER
The video continued.
The romantic moment with Jane, leaving the audience leaning forward.
Even gods couldn't avoid falling in love with humans.
— I LOOKED UP THE GIRL, SHE ACTUALLY EXISTS, BUT SHE'S NOT WELL-KNOWN, SHE'S PRACTICALLY INVISIBLE IN SCIENCE.
— AFTER THIS SHE WON'T BE, SHE'S A BRILLIANT ASTROPHYSICIST AND SHE'S COOL AS HELL.
The comments section was on fire.
The video didn't stop being replayed and shared.
Even YouTube's own techs had no idea how the channel could sustain such dense traffic, likes, comments, and shares…
All at the same time.
The video continued:
Thor's friends arriving on Earth.
Thor discovering his brother's lie.
Then… the sky over Earth tore open.
The camera shook as a figure descended, metallic, ancient, inhuman.
The Destroyer.
The video cut there.
A.N.: Reactions are a bit hard since imagining it in your head isn't the same as writing it, but I think this way the important and emotional parts get the focus. Hope you enjoyed it.
— NO
— NO NO NO
— WHY DOES IT END THERE?!
— I WANT TO SEE ASGARD'S SECRET WEAPON'S POWER
— IS IT GOING TO DESTROY EARTH?
— CAN THOR STOP IT?
— WILL HE BE ABLE TO LIFT THE HAMMER?
Unfortunately, the questions couldn't be answered.
And it made the audience furious.
— DO YOU WANT MONEY? TAKE MY MONEY, I JUST WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS NEXT
Eric exhaled without even checking the numbers.
He didn't need to.
The system was already registering the global tremor.
He smiled, sardonic.
"You never upload the battle," he murmured.
"You upload the moment right before everything burns."
---
SHIELD
The image froze.
Clint Barton didn't speak for several seconds.
He just stared at the screen in disbelief.
"That…" he finally murmured, "is me."
No one spoke.
"That position," he continued. "That angle."
He turned his head slowly.
At the back of the room, Nick Fury was watching something else.
Loki.
"I don't like him," Fury said bluntly.
Maria Hill looked up.
"The robot?"
"The brother," Fury replied. "The liar."
He pointed at the paused scene where Loki was speaking to Thor.
"He has a dangerously… comfortable relationship with deception."
Coulson swallowed.
"You think he—"
"I think," Fury cut in, "that if that guy exists, then we're looking at someone who enjoys causing serious problems."
---
Elsewhere…
Tony hadn't watched the full video.
Only fragments.
He was busy.
"A god," he murmured. "A manipulative brother. A giant robot falling from the sky… perfect."
The provisional Arc Reactor glowed in front of him.
"And I'm here…" he smiled, exhausted, "…trying to outrun the future."
He looked at the incomplete helmet on his table.
Everywhere, people weren't asking if it was real anymore.
They were asking:
When does the Destroyer arrive?
Is Loki good?
Why does the government always show up?
Where's Part 3?
And in the middle of all that, a fact began to settle like an uncomfortable truth:
Someone knew the future… and they were releasing it in chapters.
Nick Fury stood with both hands braced on the table, looking at his team like he'd accepted a truth he hated… but couldn't ignore.
"I'm going to be clear," he said. "We can't touch that channel by any means."
No one interrupted.
Phil Coulson spoke first, carefully.
"We can't take it down. We can't trace it. And every attempt at pressure only… strengthens it."
Clint Barton crossed his arms.
"So we're dealing with someone who knows what's coming… and they're playing with forces we don't even understand."
"Exactly," Fury replied. "Our hands are tied."
Silence weighed on them for a few seconds.
"And when you can't hit," Fury continued, "you watch. So we keep doing our job."
He turned, grabbed a thick folder, and slid it across the table.
It stopped in front of Natasha.
She opened it without hurry.
Photos.
Reports.
Transcripts.
"Queens," Natasha read. "Night fight. Multiple subjects hospitalized in critical condition."
She lifted an eyebrow.
"This recent?"
"Yes," Fury replied flatly. "And the interrogations all match on one interesting point."
Natasha turned the page.
—"'He moved too fast.'
—'We didn't see it coming.'
—'It was like fighting… something that wasn't there and we couldn't touch.'"
She closed the folder slowly.
"Light?" she asked. "Intangibility?"
"Light-speed displacement," Fury corrected. "Surgical precision in his strikes. And… his leg lit up when he attacked."
"Name of the subject?" Natasha asked.
Fury planted both hands on the table.
"Eric Valerian. Normal family. No military history. No recorded training."
Natasha flipped through the file again, then shut it.
"What do you want me to do?"
Fury met her eyes.
"Move into the building," he ordered. "No confrontation. No threats."
"Objective?"
"Observe," Fury said. "Learn. Understand what he is before we decide what we do."
Natasha stood, already reading as she moved.
