Inside the airship, Raj sat comfortably on the sofa and poured himself a glass of beer.
"Being a villain really isn't that bad… you can do whatever you want," he muttered softly with a smirk.
Just as Raj sighed contentedly, a frantic noise came from outside the airship.
When he stepped out, he saw Shiny-Weedle hovering anxiously nearby.
"What's wrong, little guy?" Raj asked, instantly sensing something was off.
The panicked look on Beedle's face told him something must have happened back in the cave.
He had already felt uneasy moments earlier — the system hadn't sent him any updates for quite some time.
Normally, if everything were going smoothly with Haunter and Shiny-Beedle, their battle experience would keep rising, triggering system notifications.
"Come on, hop in," Raj said, scooping up the little Weedle with one hand as he headed quickly toward the cave.
Inside, fainted Pokémon littered the ground — Paras, Zubat, and even a few Geodudes. But they were too weak to interest him.
As Raj ventured deeper, the echo of battle grew louder. In the depths of the cave, three figures surrounded Haunter, attacking it relentlessly.
Haunter, with a combat power exceeding 500, was holding its own — but just barely.
Then the system alerts began to chime.
[Ding! Clefable detected — 20 meters ahead.
A Fairy-type Pokémon capable of walking on water and hearing even the drop of a pin from a kilometer away.
Skilled at Finger Wave, Double Slap, Disarming Voice, and Hyper Beam.
Combat Power: 450.]
[Ding! Another Clefable detected — 25 meters ahead.
Combat Power: 460.]
[Ding! Another Clefable detected — 23 meters ahead.
Combat Power: 430.]
Raj frowned. "So it's Clefables, huh?"
Haunter was clearly struggling against the trio. His anesthetic powder and smoke bombs had weakened them a little, but not nearly enough.
"Haunter! They're Fairy-types — don't waste time trying to intimidate them. Use Double Team, then target the weakest Clefable first. Follow up with Confuse Ray!" Raj shouted.
The Haunter obeyed immediately.
Under his direction, Haunter darted toward the weakest Clefable, the one with 430 combat power.
Already weakened by the anesthetic, it staggered under the illusionary onslaught before finally collapsing after a direct hit from Confuse Ray.
"Your turn, Shiny-Beedle!" Raj called. "Help Haunter out — use String Shot to tie up the others!"
The beetle jumped from Raj's arms, landing on the rocky floor with a determined buzz.
Its combat power was only 210 — less than half of Clefable's — but Raj's presence filled it with courage.
It fired silk rapidly, wrapping one Clefable in sticky threads.
The Fairy shrieked, furious, and countered with a barrage of Double Slaps, each strike knocking Weedle backward.
Raj winced, covering his face. "Ouch. That's… painful to watch."
Meanwhile, Haunter focused on the strongest Clefable.
The two clashed fiercely, attacks echoing through the cave until Haunter finally unleashed another Confuse Ray, dropping it cold.
That left only the Clefable pummeling poor Beedle.
Weedle was trembling, bruised, tears forming in its eyes — but just as Raj was about to intervene, a bright light engulfed it.
[Ding! Shiny-Weedle is evolving!
Due to extreme combat stress, evolution triggered early.
Congratulations to the host! Your first shiny Pokémon has successfully evolved.
Reward: 5,000 points!]
The blinding glow faded, revealing a Shiny Kakuna, its shell gleaming like polished gold.

Combat Power: Currently unmeasurable.]
Raj blinked, speechless. "Wait… you evolved now?"
Then he remembered — Kakuna couldn't fight. It could only sit still and wait for its next evolution.
The newly evolved Pokémon seemed just as confused, staring blankly at its stiff new form.
Raj sighed. "...Fuck. You made me lose face. I thought you were about to go berserk, not turn into a statue."
Even Haunter floated nearby, expression blank.
After a moment, Haunter shook it off and finished off the last Clefable with ease.
Raj returned Kakuna to its Poké Ball. "Yeah, yeah, shiny or not, you're useless for now. Let's hope you turn it around as Beedrill."
With that, he moved deeper into the cave.
At the end, a massive stone formation loomed — surrounded by countless fainted Clefairy.
Raj's eyes narrowed. "Now that… looks interesting."
