"I was planning to speak to Vincent about this tomorrow," Rory said softly. "Ask him to investigate the matter... and Aren as well."
From the moment she met Aren, something about him had felt off.
When she was with Jasper, Yuel, or Vincent, closeness came naturally—effortless, instinctive. There was warmth, an ease that settled into her bones without her noticing.
But with Aren… that feeling was absent.
