Though Rory was kissed into a bit of a daze, her mind remained clear.
"Then what about Wen?"
Rory asked, her voice turning somewhat soft.
He had given his promise to Wen, after all.
Lian halted all of his movements, though his slender fingers did not leave her, ambiguously stroking the corners of Rory's reddened eyes.
The air seemed to freeze for a fraction of a second, filled only with the sound of their intermingled breathing.
"Yeah, what about Wen?"
Lian repeated softly, his voice husky and deep, making Rory's eardrums tingle slightly.
He slowly lowered his head, resting his forehead against Rory's while his nose rubbed intimately against hers, warm breath washing entirely over her face.
"Rory, what do you think we should do?"
His tone carried an uncharacteristic trace of grievance, bordering on accusation.
"Tonight, you were the one who pulled down my towel and provoked me first."
"That's pure slander."
Rory refused to own up to it.
